A New Font In 10 Easy Steps
1. Go to http://mifki.com/df/fontgen/
2. In the Export/Import field set:"cw":10,"ch":12 to get 160x192px output resolution
3. Select your desired font, for a choice of fonts see: https://fonts.google.com/?category=Monospace (needs to be a monospaced font otherwise it won't look good ingame)
4. Adjust the position of the characters in the grid with the |<<| |>>| buttons
5. When you are done, click "Download Tileset Image"
6. Name your tileset something, like example.png
7. Copy example.png into "Dwarf Fortress\data\art" directory
8. Open "Dwarf Fortress\data\init\init_default.txt"
9. Replace "curses_640x300.png" with "example.png" on the following lines (I suggest you leave BASIC_FONT unchanged if you want to have the standard font in the menus upon startup)
[BASIC_FONT:curses_640x300.png]
[FONT:curses_640x300.png]
[FULLFONT:curses_640x300.png]
