Intro
Patch: pre-alpha 0.4.0.7
Hello and welcome to the 2nd Draconia 101 map guide!
Island B is deeply in development and more and more interesting areas get added with new patches! So it's about time to provide you a helping hand for the additional lands to explore to lower any risks of your dragons unalinving on their journey.
Just like before, we will take some closer looks at the most important and interesting areas.
Thanks to Valkair on the Discord, we could create an interactive map using World Anvil.

Athyne - The City
Athyne is the main city on "Island B" and all of Altuis. for now, it is heavily WIP and is full of sections with white marker blocks for future buildings.
The gem at its center, a giant Tecatl statue, can even be seen from the shores of "Island A"!
The waystone can be found in some sort of cave-like structure right outside the city. It's in the west with a beautiful view over the curly shore below and the inner seas between the islands.
Oh and while you're at it, come along Athynes tavern!
Lots of tasty snacks from sweet elderblood cakes and berries, to juicy speared griffins and Kuzty to die for are on the menu!
And the heart of it all, the big grill! Just don't mind when dragons choose the grill for their next nap.
Specially Fyrrwin and Vodros' enjoy its heat!
Traders delight!Even in its early state you can see one of the main purposes of Athyne coming together: trading! first shops are being prepared by the Ka'sai that inhabit the city. Well, in theory. Practically there are no NPCs to interact with yet.
Simple gardens are prepared for some of the goods that will be sold on Athynes markets.
Lore-hunters dreamAnother cool part of Athyne is its library on the cliffs a little above and outside the main area. It has samples of some rarer materials and most importantly: Scolls, mainy scrolls!
While like 99,9% of those aren't readable yet, there are some poems dedicated to the 6 main dragon species and the first stories written by the games backers. A yellow waypoint connects the floors for those who cannot just fly up.
The backside of the library has some places to sit and enjoy the sun with an amazing view of Island As westcoast and the sea inbetween the islands.
With time, more things will be added to this place, letting my little nerdy dragon heart beat in excitement! So be ready to meet up for little chats between draconic book worms.
The Coast Of Crystals
When you first come to Island B, this might be the first thing you see. A crystaline beach with rock formations that give you but a taste of what this island will be like.
And these are HUGE! Though I am not really sure what they are actually. They are golden/yellow like Kitrinite but they glow like Azulite. This is a pretty and mysterious welcome to a new place to explore.
The 2 closest waypoints are Palo Quario, just on the other side of the waters that separate Island A and Island B, and Esly Tokkaros, on the west end of this location.
In case you didn't bring any food with you along the way, there is actually some hidden near the rock formations closer to the mountains. Depending on the time of day, these are also great to hide from the sun, I believe this island is hot as hell on a clear, sunny day!
You can try to venture deeper towards the islands center by climbing up the mountains or continue to Athyne, the main city, by following the coastline to the north. Specially the 2nd option can turn into a beautyful walk along the beach.
Ignasley, The Lava Canyon
If you and your dragon like it hot, you have to visit the canyons in the northwest of "Island B".
An exciting area to explore with lavapits everywhere and rare recources found nowhere else.
Be aware that water is scarse here, so take a good sip before you visit and keep a careful eye on your thirst!
With Vodroseggs requiring great heat, we can expect them to claim these canyons as one of their prefered nesting grounds.
And there seem to be very few candidates to threaten them on this one. A Drake with its fire element might try to sneak into a nest for a breakfast egg but that's it for such a dangerous territory.
Treasure in flame sandsBetween the hot rocks and literal lava are more reasons to visit regulary than the stunning sight.
Ipomo grows everywhere! This though plant loves the heat and creates beautiful fields between the deadly pits. Their roots can be turned into a healing stew in the future. In some places they even grow only inches away from the lava!
And lastly, Rubenite. Rubenite is a dangerous crystal with the power to turn one into a berserker beast! As former weapon smithing material, its powder still finds use as last hope painkiller, so search around and get your hoard ready for some bloodthirsty gems!
As mentioned before, water is non-exsistant here, even food is rare. I did find a place with meatpiles and a carcass just below the bigger Ipomo field, but it ain't easy to reach! You just have to get across this lava lake by flying or jumping over the few stones that form a path from A to B. Good luck!
Rakon In The Canyons
The Arena - RakonHidden behind the mountains of Island B lies Rakon, a valley full of old bones, ribcages and perfect for larger gatherings of all kinds of beasts. Dragons and Ka'sai alike.
The center could function as some kind of arena for trainings or even more serious fights. I have no doubt Rakon will be of greater importance later, being fairly close to the future main city.
Many little Tecatl-torches brighten up the pathes at night, indicating further that this is not some random area, but has rather interesting lore hidden behind it. There is also some food around and the Rakon waypoint, so you won't starve here and can quickly get around, even as a drake or Ka'sai.
The Canyons of TektosWhile you'll find Ignasley to the north of Rakon, to the south lies another interesting reagion. Tektos Cuyuro, deep canyons filled with the giant bones we can see all over Island B.
They form impressive arches above the paths between the walls of stone, making even the biggest dragons feel small. And apperently, someone lives there...
The deepest part of the canyon with a giant rock pillar at its center offers this little camp for a short rest. It has food and one of the rare watersources on the island. The little tent has 2 beds and some containers with various items stored inside.
I wonder who this all belongs to or wether it is some kind of outpost where any traveler that comes along can rest. The name giving waypoint of Tektos Cuyuro is directly at the rock pillars base, a small obelisk with 2 azulite crystals.
Extra Areas
Besides the larger places highlighted in this guide, there are some small spots that are still worth a visit!
Curly BeachThe Curly Beach is just outside of Athyne, past the west gate and is easily reachable by foot. Small creatures can peacefully bathe in the shallow waters and enjoy the sun or seek cover at the funky rock formations.
When traveling to Athyne as a flightless creature, you will come across this place as it is basically part of the easiest route from "Island A" to the city.
Mangroves and the basalt caveFurther in the west of the island, still at the northern shores, you reach a forest in the water. These are Revona trees (Thanks Levia!)! A cute place to hang out with friends during a hot summer.
And for those who check out the odd rocks in the back, we have the basalt cave. The clear water sparkles in the dark and the semi-aquatic plants that grow inside can be used as a little snack for your beach parties.
Not to far away from this region, a bit to the west, is another tiny forest with a more swamp like feeling, yet it's not a typical swamp.
Infact, it seems more like a tropical bath paradise for kids! Many plants provide shade and protection from the hot sun of Island B and emit a pretty light at night.
Return of the Boneyard?Just outside of the Lava region on the west coast of the island is a fairly open area with massive bones, similar to the ones found all over in the islands canyons. My assistant Rubinra here is a level 50 Vodros, to give an idea on their size! This place doesn't hold much at first, just some bones to collect and some meat. But it reminds me a lot of the old boneyard of the previous map.
The "Fortress"At the very southern tip of Island B, you can find a location we call "the fortress" for now. It's only reachable with the natural bridge and has quite a lot of space even for bigger dragons to rest.
And, while not having a lot of structures, you can find a small kitchen and even a beast hut in the back of it!
The few decorative bone structures suggest that this place has some importance for the Ka'sai that live on Island B, perhaps it is a place for rituals or it will be an actual village in the future.
