Getting mods from mod.io working on the Steam Deck

How-To

As of writing this mod.io just hangs on the downloading progress when trying to subscribe to mods in the game itself on Steam Deck. I would assume it is due to some pathing error, but until then here is a fix for it.

You will need to connect your Steam Deck to your computer or you could do this through Desktop Mode if you prefer.

Visit the https://mod.io/g/corekeeper website.

MANUALLY download the mods you prefer.

In your File Explorer navigate to;

/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Core Keeper/CoreKeeper_Data/StreamingAssets/

4. Create a Mods folder.

5. Unzip the mods you manually downloaded form mod.io and place them in the Mods folder you created.

Should end up looking like so with the mod files inside;

/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Core Keeper/CoreKeeper_Data/StreamingAssets/Mods/AutoDoors

Enjoy!
