Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II PACKET BURST FIX

Step 1

The fix for this problem is pretty simple... Just navigate to where your game is installed (Default path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty HQ) and then navigate to "cod24" folder... From there, you want to go to "shadercache" folder.... When you're inside, you'll see a bunch of 1~2Kb files...

Completely delete all of these, and then restart your computer!

Step 2

After you have deleted all the files in the "shadercache" folder located in the game's main directory, now you need to make a few changes to the game's "texture streaming" options...

For this step, go to your "Documents" folder, and locate the "Call of Duty" folder... Click on it, and then go to the "players" folder.

In here you will have to search for the term "cst", obviously without the ""... Then when the search finishes, you need to make changes within 2 files... The first file's name is "gamerprofile.0.BASE.cst" and the second file's name is "gamerprofile.0.BASE.cst1"...

Open one of files via Notepad, and then press Ctrl+F to enter search mode... Search for the term "Stream", and then find "Stream limit in MB"...

In the line just below that, you will see "HTTPStreamLimitMBytes@0 = X"... Now this is the IMPORTANT part! SET THAT "X" to 0... and then press CTRL+S to save the file and then exit it... Repeat the same steps for the second file, and you're GOOD TO GOO!

By now, you should have seen no PACKET BURST in the game, and your play experience should have been buttery smooth...

It is worth mentioning that every 2-3 days, try clearing that "shadercache" folder to make the game rebuild the simple cache to avoid potential future packet bursts again...
