Hello! Welcome to my guide! Here you will learn how to easier install background mods for Brawlhalla!
IMPORTANT NOTES:
This will show you how to install custom stage elements and custom backgrounds. The folders are the stage elements (such as the stage itself and platforms), and the .jpgs are the backgrounds. If you are only installing backgrounds, ignore steps involving folders (steps 8-10), if you are installing only stage elements, ignore steps involving .jpgs (steps 11-14).
I did not create ANY background or stage elements that will be showcased in this guide, they are only used for illustration purposes to make the guide easier to understand.

Instructions
1). First download your map pack of choice. I used the "Neony Glow Maps" from https://gamebanana.com/mods/412047.
2). It will appear in your downloads folder. To get there, click the file icon on your taskbar (at the bottom of your screen), and select "downloads" in the left menu (not shown in the image).
3). You will need to have WinRAR installed, which you can download from here: https://www.win-rar.com/. Once you have it, right-click the ".rar" compressed archive, and then click "Extract here".
4). As seen in this step, the files will be extracted into a folder, and placed below the .rar compressed archive.
5). Go to Steam, right-click Brawlhalla, then hover over the drop-down menus until you see "Browse local files". Once you are here, click it.
6). Clicking "Browse local files" will open another file explorer window for Brawlhalla's game files. Go to the folder labeled "mapArt" and click it.
(stages 7-10 are for stage elements only not backgrounds, if they don't concern you, skip to step 11)
7). Go back to your downloads folder that you opened in step 2, and open the file folder containing your backgrounds and/or stage elements.
8). From here, select and copy the FOLDERS, not the .jpgs.
9). Go back to the mapArt folder that you opened in step 6, and paste in the folders.
10). It will ask you what you want to do with the duplicate files. Click "Replace the files in the destination".
(stages 11-14 are for backgrounds only, not stage elements, if they don't concern you, go back to step 8)
11). Go back to the file folder containing your backgrounds and/or stage elements that you opened in step 7, and copy the .jpgs.
12). Go back to the mapArt folder that you opened in step 6, and open the folder labeled "Backgrounds".
13). Paste in the .jpgs.
14). It will ask you what you want to do with the duplicate files. Click "Replace the files in the destination".
