Asuri
Weapon Set: Sword + Katars
Strength: 4
Defense: 5
Dexterity: 7
Speed: 6
As intimidating as this tigress might look, she is not the best when it comes to using the sword. With her 4 base strength, Asuri struggles in knocking off her opponents. Moreover, her 5 base defense adds to the struggle when receiving hits.
Even with a decent attack kit overall, you might need to rethink before stepping into the arena, as her sword's light and heavy signature attacks just don't do enough damage to secure you an easy win. You'll have to learn a few combos for that.
Hattori
Weapon Set: Sword + Spear
Strength: 4
Defense: 4
Dexterity: 6
Speed: 8
If stories are to be believed, Hattori was considered to be an exceptional swordswoman from a very young age. However, in the game, this might not seem completely true. Although Hattori's sword attacks look pleasing to the eyes, they are not particularly strong enough. This paired with her pretty low 4 base defense makes her dangerously volatile of being knocked off the stage.
On the other hand, even her high-speed light attacks are very weak against high-defense legends like Magyar or Queen Nai. Although a couple of back-to-back heavy signatures will get the job done for you.
Jiro
Weapon Set: Sword + Scythe
Strength: 5
Defense: 3
Dexterity: 7
Speed: 7
This skillful shinobi trained to be a warrior ever since he was a child, and thus, is a master of many dark shills and techniques. Popular among his fellow brawl legends, Jiro uses a chain scythe along with a sword. However, you must know that stories don't win you fights.
Jiro's terrifyingly low 3 defense coupled with his 5 strength leaves you in an unpleasant position on the platform, to say the least. His neutral and side signature attacks, although awesome, are only for the super-experienced to execute accurately.
Jhala
Weapon Set: Sword + Battle Axe
Strength: 7
Defense: 3
Dexterity: 7
Speed: 5
Jhala is one of those sword-legend picks you should choose only when you're confident enough to secure a flawless victory. Even with a strong 7 base strength and awesome sword signatures, she has an ultra-low 3 base defense. So it's simple mathematics; you must connect your attacks while dodging your enemy or else, be ready to be thrown into the abyss.
As per the lore, Jhala as a youngling was skilled enough to seize and ride a dragon, and her valor does show in her fierce sword and axe swings. However, all things considered, make this choice at your own risk.
Thatch
Weapon Set: Sword + Blasters
Strength: 7
Defense: 3
Dexterity: 5
Speed: 7
The obsession this pirate has for destruction and devastation is known to everyone. He has been known to prematurely erupt volcanoes, and legends have it that other Brawlhalla champions get nightmares of his blasters' down signature. The same is the story with his sword signatures, which do seem to have the oceans' strength in each hit.
With his watery signature moves, his 7 base strength sword deals a good chunk of damage to opponents. However, watch out for the incoming attacks as his poor defense ain't going to help you much.
Val
Weapon Set: Sword + Gauntlets
Strength: 4
Defense: 6
Dexterity: 5
Speed: 7
This Android assassin, created in a science lab, does have speed. Her gauntlets' down as well as neutral signatures are great for edge guard, and her sword is just awesome overall with those quick attacks and cool sounds.
Although Val has pretty balanced stats, and her attack kit for both sword and gauntlets is genuinely awesome, she's just not strong enough to deal extensive damage because of her 4 base strength.
Sidra
Weapon Set: Sword + Cannon
Strength: 6
Defense: 6
Dexterity: 4
Speed: 6
Sidra is said to have arrived in chaotic pre-established Valhalla. To describe her dare in one sentence, she once raided Poseidon's undersea and stole invaluable stuff. Although she has one of the most balanced stats of any legends in Brawlhalla, her 4 base dexterity limits her attack speed and recovery time, in turn, slowing down her successive attacks.
However, once you start hitting those combinations of light and signature attacks with Sidra's sword, you might find it extensively difficult to change your legend.
Sir Roland
Weapon Set: Sword + Rocket Lance
Strength: 5
Defense: 8
Dexterity: 5
Speed: 4
With a beard so magnificent it made the gods envious and a base defense of 8, this knight with countless titles might feel to you like the perfect sword legend to pick. You are not wrong to think so. Sir Roland boasts a sword with a rocket lance, a perfect combination for close-quarter as well as afar engagements.
The only noticeable downside to this legend, apart from his never-ending thirst for battle, is his 4 base speed, limiting his maneuverability and his chance to punish enemies after their unsuccessful signatures.
Koji
Weapon Set: Sword + Bow
Strength: 5
Defense: 4
Dexterity: 8
Speed: 5
Although Koji does not boast well-balanced statistics like others at the top of this list, his 8 base dexterity gives him a perfect attack combination advantage which can be used well for both of his weapons. His impressive attacks with the sword are just too clean to see and deal decent damage as well.
What keeps him out of the top three on this list is his 4 base defense which is just too low for soaking recovery attacks on a low-ceiling map.
Ezio
Weapon Set: Sword + Orb
Strength: 5
Defense: 4
Dexterity: 7
Speed: 6
The Master of the Italian Brotherhood of Assassins, Ezio dons a radiant white jacket and an impressive attack kit. Generally considered a friendly guy amongst the Brawlhalla legends, he uses a sword paired with an orb, perfectly suiting his mystic aura.
His 5 strength and 7 dexterity makes him intimidating to others. However, his 4 base defense makes him vulnerable to enemies with similar or higher damage. Beware, as his beard and jawline are as sharp as his sword.
Jaeyun
Weapon Set: Sword + Great Sword
Strength: 6
Defense: 5
Dexterity: 5
Speed: 6
What's better than wielding a sword? Wielding a sword with a great sword, and that's exactly what Jaeyun does. With an attack kit comparable to the bests and a skillset very few can match, this legendary mercenary is one formidable foe. His base strength of 6 in association with his decent 5 defense makes him an ideal sword legend.
What you might want to take notice of, however, is his 5 dexterity. This is not bad by any means, but for a close-counter weapon like the sword, the higher the dexterity, the better.
Bodvar
Weapon Set: Sword + War Hammer
Strength: 6
Defense: 5
Dexterity: 6
Speed: 5
The poster boy of Brawlhalla is, hands down, the most well-balanced sword legend in the game. This is almost unanimously agreed to by most of the players worldwide. His attack kit has everything you need in a fight. Edge guarding sword down signature, checked; powerful side signature, checked; intimidating neutral signature, checked. To top things off, his powerful war hammer hits are a sight to behold.
This bear-Viking legend had the guts to walk into Valhalla himself after breaking the gates, which is a crystal-clear indication of his valor.
