Heat Map - Effects of Tools & Weapons
If you didn't know, a rise of Heat is caused by the usage of your weapons and tools. Though since you use these tools and weapons daily, it makes events of what you do with certain tools and weapons, which in circumstance leads to more Heat. Down below are the definition of each word and tables including the amount of heat each item uses and lifetimes.
Heat - It determines the amount of activities are being conducted and includes in each chunk (16x16).
Lifetime - Total number of ticks after a current event ends.
Non-Silenced - The weapon doesn't have a silencer if it were not to have one.
Silenced - The weapon does have a silencer on it and if the silencer is not on the graph below any weapon, it means it isn't compatible with the current weapon and just a graph of 'Non Silenced'.
Idle - Something that isn't currently happening, such as if the Auger was on idle, that means it's not actively destroying dirt or etc.

Generally, Heat attracts so called Wandering Hordes / Screamer Hordes that often or sometimes happen. If firing a weapon or doing something that generates heat, it will attract Wandering Hordes. You will also encounter Screamers. Screamers are zombies that attract other zombies nearby causing a Wandering Horde. Forges and Workbenches (which I forgot to mention this in my guide and does attract heat), can attract Screamers and is the only connections of them together if it were operational. If you didn't kill the Screamer in time, the more zombies will come after your base. Take note, if your gamestage is higher, you might encounter harder zombies, such as radiated zombies or feral zombies.
Screamers could also come besides if the Forges and Workbenches are operational, if you fire a lot of weapons, it could attract more Screamers, though my recommendation is taking the ammunition of your weapons to be saved if you have a emergency then I would fire your firearm, though you must save your ammunition as you can use them during hordes.
Conclusion
Conclusion
Well, that was it for this guide, I had to research a few times to actually not get confused about the system of Heat. But I just wanted to make people and other players that are entering 7 Days, to read this guide to get a better sense of what Heat exactly does as in terms of effects. Though I was going to release prior to 7 Days to Die Alpha 21, but I myself don't know when it's officially coming out and just going to release this guide much sooner than expected.
Thank you for showing the support for my 7 Days to Die Alpha 20 guide, and 7 Days to Die Alpha 21 guide is expected to come in a few months or weeks, it determines if the development team will do dev streams or release new content coming to Alpha 21. Thank you for reading this guide and will expect the new Alpha 21 guide soon. Good day!
