How to properly install NML Mods

How to properly install NML Mods

Introduction

So I know you have probably seen around various mods on the workshop but your brain dead, 5 year old self doesn't know how to install them properly? Well, this guide is right for you! Also make sure before doing this guide, your WorldBox has "experimental mode" on. (also in the while of editing this guide i noticed that i forgot to say that you should also install the .pdb file, sorry about that, just imagine it says NeoModLoader.dll AND NeoModLoader.pdb)

Step 1

Go to https://github.com/WorldBoxOpenMods/ModLoader/releases and choose whatever version you want. No, not literally any version, I mean the v1.0.8-Bug Fix or the "Latest Release". Then, you would install the "NeoModLoader.dll" file and wait for the next instruction. (P.S. if your "anti-virus" flags the .dll as unsafe, it's a false positive as this modloader doesn't do anything harmful.)

Step 2

After you got your NeoModLoader.dll, it's time to go to the WorldBox game page on Steam (click on that library button to the top left, you should also know how to manage 2 things at once.) After you clicked on that WorldBox page or whatever it's called, you would then click on that gear icon. It should look like this.

After that, you would then click on the "Manage" button and then the "Browse local files" a new tab should pop up. (The mods folder won't be there by default, that would be created later.)

Step 3 (Actually Installing It This Time)

After you opened that new folder tab, it's time to actually install it now. Go to the "worldbox_Data" folder, (double click it to open it :steamfacepalm:) After you did that embarrassingly simple task that I needed to tell you how to do, you then go to the "StreamingAssets" folder. (see what i meant about dumbing this guide down?)

There SHOULD be a "mods" folder, but if it isn't there then you should reinstall WorldBox or create it by yourself. (Go do that yourself, I'm sick of explaining this stupid crap.) After that, you should open another "File Explorer" and then grab that NeoModLoader.dll thing that you installed earlier and plop it into the "mods" folder. (other files would be installed by themselves, you don't have to do anything about that.)

Then you're done! Nevermind, you have to install the NML Steam Workshop item. https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=3080294469

You're Done!

Good job! You got a yellow paper star now, Timmy! Now go to the dinner table, dinner is ready.

"It Didn't Work For Me"

Well if it didn't work for you, then something went horribly wrong in the process.

First Solution: Load up WorldBox and go to the settings and scroll down. If "experimental mode" is off, then enable it. (You should of had this enabled earlier.)

Second Solution: If that STILL doesn't work for you, make sure to read over the steps, for example, you might of placed the NML files into that "Mods" folder in common\worldbox instead of the one in the StreamingAssets\mods folder.

Third Solution: If that STILL doesn't work then make sure you have installed the Steam Workshop item. https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=3080294469

Last Solution: If that STILL DOESN'T WORK, then contact the devs yourself as I have no other idea on how to fix this.
