Secret Trick to Speedrun the "Flawless Execution" penance Get the Achievement & Portrait Fast!

Intro

The "Flawless Execution" penance requires you to complete 5/10/15 missions in a row without going down on Malice difficulty or higher.

Doing this 10 times grants a Steam achievement.

Doing this 15 times unlocks the legendary portrait frame (view it below in another post).

I recently earned the portrait myself, and while experienced Darktide players will probably get this naturally, it can still take quite a bit of time.

But I found a method that drastically speeds up the process. One I haven’t seen mentioned in any other guides.

TLDR

TLDR: Abuse "The Torrent" Special Assignment mission shortcut.

We can use Zola's Special Assignment mission "The Torrent" - Orthus Offensive to farm this penance way faster than normal.

Swiggs made a video explaining how you can hit hidden bells around the map to trigger a secret hardmode boss fight:

However, what’s really important for this penance is that unlocking these bells also grants access to a bell at the very start of the map. Ringing it teleports you straight to the final boss fight. Bypassing everything except the final boss fight.

How To Speedrun "Flawless Execution"

Follow a bell guide for The Torrent to unlock the teleportation bell.

Start the mission, hit the bell at the beginning, and skip straight to the final boss.

Beat the boss 15 times without going down (on Malice difficulty or higher).

Done! You’ve completed the penance, earned the Steam achievement, and unlocked the legendary portrait.

Why This Is Optimal

The Torrent - Orthus Offensive is a Special Assignment mission that is always available.

Most missions take way longer and the optimal maps to run for aren’t always in rotation.

This method skips the vast majority of the level, letting you grind out the penance much faster.

Hope this helps people save minutes, if not hours of unnecessary grinding.

PS: While not necessarily part of the guide above. I recommend running this map with Zealot for his amazing single target damage for against the bosses and the "Holy Revenant" talent that prevents you from going down when you hit 0 hp like once every 2 minutes.
