If you have a black screen when starting the game, there are a couple of identified potential problems:

Possible Issue #1: Corrupted save files

1. Shut down the game

2. Go to your local save files at [your Windows username]\AppData\LocalLow\ScopatGames\ and rename the vrkshop directory to vrkshop-broken

3. Restart the game. If the game starts, something got corrupted while saving or loading. Be sure not to turn off the game while starting or stopping the game.

Possible Issue #2: SteamVR failure when launching vrkshop (Oculus headsets only).

1. Check your "player.log" file at [your Windows username]\AppData\LocalLow\ScopatGames\vrkshop\

2. If the error "XR: OpenVR Error! OpenVR failed initialization with error code VRInitError_Init_PathRegistryNotFound: "Installation path could not be located (110)"! " is in the log file, you may have an issue with SteamVR launching.

3. Make sure your Oculus app is running, then launch Steam (do not launch SteamVR directly), then launch vrkshop from inside the Steam app, not Oculus.

4. If it is still not working, you may try reinstalling Steam & SteamVR.
