Settings
To start Aim Lab you first want to go into settings and make sure you have these settings. Click on settings in the bottom right of the home screen:
Then first go straight to controls and make the game profile VALORANT, dont change the FOV as the FOV in valorant is 103. All you have to do here now is to change the sensitivity to the same as the one you use in valorant.
To maximise FPS you want to turn all the FX off and make the display mode fullscreen exclusive, this will reduce lag and unnecessary effects.
The rest of the settings are up to you, make sure your crosshair is the same as the one you use in valorant and change the audio/keybinds to your preference.
Before You Start
There are a few things to know before you start training your aim. First: look at the tabs at the top of the screen The videos can also help when you start with useful beginners guides and interviews.
Second: Dont focus too much on leaderboards/ranks. Everyone improves at different rates but with enough time, you will get better. Ranks and leaderboards are great for having a goal but can be discouraging.
Third: The tasks in Aim Lab are useful but remember there are many custom tasks made by others that can help improve in specific scenarios. Just go to the workshop and youll find many Valorant specific tasks.
Choosing The Correct Tasks
For Valorant, some tasks are much more useful than others to improve. The best modes to improve are tasks like spidershot and microshot, this is because in valorant most aim is micro adjustments and precision.
Tasks like gridshot are not as useful for improvement. other useful tasks are found in the workshop, just search valorant and you'll find many useful packs to download.
Final Tips
Improving in valorant has much more to do with other aspects than just raw aim. I suggest training crosshair placement and movement in valorant because these are not so easily trained in aim lab. Finally, consistency is key, make sure you have a warmup routine and stay consistent, packing 5 hours of training at once isnt as good as training for 1 hour a day. Also, warming up and training your aim are different, don't spend hours training aim before jumping into ranked, it wont help as much as you think it will. For example, warming up before you play would be a shorter session (less than an hour) of practising general mechanics such as flicks and tracking (I would suggest doing spidershot, microshot and motionshot but there are many warmup packs on the workshop), training should also focus more on your weaker areas of aiming which aimlab should point out after a round.
Thanks for taking the time to read this guide, I hope it helps.
