Instructions
1) turn off auto update, so if an update hits, Steam does not automatically install it
2) install all the mods you use as you usually would with the default WH3 mod loader
3) install the prop joe WH3 mod manager (search for mod manager in the workshop and it will come up)
4) find the installed mod files - i believe default stored c:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content
and will need to go through the numbered folders and find both the .pack and .png for each mod then
4.5) MOVE the .pack and .png for each mod to your data folder (default c:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Total War WARHAMMER III\data)
5) once you have moved the mod files over, delete your subscription to them and uninstall them in Steam. you need to delete them because if you are still subscribed, when an update hits, they will start to be updated to the latest version, and that will brick your campaign.
6) you'll now be using prop joe's manager to activate the mods AND start the game DIRECTLY from the mod manager - do NOT start the game using the usual start button on steam or you will trigger the update
this is verified as of 12/13/24 - I'm still playing my campaign started prior to the latest 6.0 update, am able to be online, and nothing has forced an update or prevented me from playing with the prior version and mods
