Gone Huntin'

EM(S) AS WELL AS GM(S)

In The Hunter Classic there are two forms of currency. one called (EM) which you can purchase with real the designated monetary value of your country (i.e, USD, AD, POUND, EURO, ext). The second form of currency is GM or as they are commonly refereed to as "Gems". Gems are earned via completing missions as well as conforming kills.

(EM) - I think it should be noted that with out spending a few dollars on this other wise free to play hunting sim, you will struggle to enjoy your experience as it should be. I personally put 20 dollars into the game after my first 100 hours of playing and it was the best decision i made in regards to my hunting profile. not only was 20 (USD) more than enough for me to purchase a new high powered rife but it also covered the cost of a scope to accompany my new fire arm (PLEASE SEE WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT FOR FURTHER DETAILS ON THIS TOPIC). with some EM left i decided to purchase a trophy lodge as well. Point in case is 20 dollars (the stand alone price of Way Of The Hunter) is more than enough to get the ball rolling here in the classic edition. Speaking from an almost necessary stand point, even 10 dollars is enough for new rifle and scope, anything over 10 dollars in indulging. With the bare bones of EM squared away i should mention although i have not spent over 20 dollars on in game items the temptation is very potent every time you hit the in game store. I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST THIS AS IT IS EXTREMELY EASY TO EARN (GM) AFTER YOU ADD A STRONGER RIFLE TO YOUR ARSENAL. Since we have covered the minimum to ball here it is only fair we discuss the rough maximum. from what i have gathered hunting with other players just about 200 - 250 (USD) is enough to grab most anything you could want to hunt with from the store.

(GM) - Hopefully you decided to spend 10 to 20 dollars and no have a more fitting rifle to take down larger game. The absolute best way to earn GM is with out a doubt completing missions. Missions all missions are accessible at any given time all you must do is click (O) while hunting to see the missions menu however, missions are specific to certain hunting grounds and particular to certain weapons. to best navigate the missions you can complete i recommend opening familiarizing yourself with the missions menu but more specifically to filter your missions based on the the hunting reserve you are in as well as the animals you wish to hunt. this ill allow you to kill two birds with one stone. Although it may seem a bit confusing at first the simple fact of the matter is missions come in "mission packs" and the GM reward increases as you further complete a mission pack. for example; different animals such as white tail deer have mission packs with roughly 10 or so missions that increase in difficulty but reward more GM as you progress though the string of missions. The first mission would reward only 100 GM, where as the last mission would reward 1000 GM. Being that there are 660 missions total though... you can just about hunt anywhere with anything and complete missions. If you are more of a realistic hunter and are just looking to enjoy the experience for hunting and care less about missions do not worry as simply shooting and confirming a kill will reward you with GM which does add up. (Attached are two screen shots of a Brown Bear as well as a Red Kangaroo to exemplify just how much GM can be earned via strictly hunting).

PURCHASING WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT

Weapons

There are a wide variety of rifles, shotguns, bows, cross bows, hand guns, advanced rifles ext to choose from in the store. At the end of the day it can all come down to preference and your personal style of hunting. It should be noted that using any rifle or shotgun aside from the ones given to you at the start will require you to purchase and mange ammunition well as repurchase ammunition once you have depleted your stash. my first purchase was a "9.3x74R Rifle" and it as never once led me astray. It is a high powered rifle that i could recommend to anyone getting started in the game that just wants a badas* rifle. I also purchased the 1.1-8x30 rifle scope and have not stopped using this set up to hunt since. The rifle is permitted to hit just about every species of animal the game has to offer. Secondly i purchased a "SnakeBite Bow" in order to compliment the slew of callers i began to purchase allowing me to lure in medium size game and take them down silently (Highly Recommenced). Without being biased here is a small list of great options to choose from in no particular order, all of which are unique in their own way varying in everything from appearance to permitted animals to hunt. However It is important to keep in mind what you can shoot with what as there are no refunds in the store and all purchases are final.

Equipment

Building a collection of different callers as well as general hunting equipment is very importation when it comes to becoming a better and more efficient hunter. First and foremost you are going to want to grab a couple of general callers that will allow you to draw in animals that are prominent in most hunting reserves (i.e, Deer callers, Moose, Elk, ext.) Once the basics are covered i would recommend adding a few fowling calls as a great way to earn GM is via fowling (Bird Hunting).

Of course to accompany your bird calls ground blinds and water fowling blinds are a necessity. (ONLY TO BE DONE AFTER YOU HAVE PURCHASED A NEW SHOT GUN) Next i would advise purchasing the "Increased Capacity" upgrade as it will allow you to carry 3 weapons or 2 weapons and just about anything else you could want on your person. Once you have enough upgrading you binoculars as well as purchasing a spotter and range finder is always a good idea. And last but not least tents can be extremely useful in saving you time getting your favorite hunting locations.

GOOD SPOTS TO HUNT

I will Keep this as simple and brief as possible. A lot of hunting boils down to preference but for the sake of showing a new hunter decent spots to hunt i will attach a hand full of screen shots with good locations circled as well as what to expect to see in these locations. As always folks... Happy Huntin'.

*EDIT*

I am not able to upload screen shots of good hunting locations as of now but once i am able to, i will update this guide and add a screen shot of every map for your convenience.
