The Guide
The Planet crafter: Prologue game guide.
Hello and welcome to the instructional set - thoughtfully placed into your PDA by some unnamed technician who thought better than his superiors. The message follows:
"Hello? Survivor? Are you still around? In case you are, let me tell you a few things. I picked those up when doing some research work in the Core Control.
- The planet is rich in resources, but Iron, of all things, will be a bottleneck.
- When opening the crafting/building window, DO roll the mouse wheel. There is more in the list than you see! Duh!
- Iridium for heaters can be found in the wrecks and in the cave under the "dustfalls"
- The two shipwrecks contain important resources, but once the ships are gutted, they are of zero importance. Do not base near those, consider them as raid targets. 3-4 O2 bottles a trip.
-The nice stuff in the research tree gets unlocked by your terraforming actions. Example - raise the pressure on the planet a bit - get something, like a better (longer-lasting) oxygen tank. Stuff like that. Not sure I even gave the right example, but you get the point.
-We only do the first stage in the demo, but I still base on the plain towards the smaller wreck, in view of the lower plane flooded after proper terraforming : ) Just next to the highest point in the valley, with the Stonehenge-like element. A huge flat space, not much iron though.
- If terraformed correctly (to unlock the food grower device) and explored enough (ships/crates) for seeds, one should be able to start growing enough to sustain themselves before looted space food runs out. So far my guess is that 3 plots are not enough to sustain a player, and 4 would be about enough.
Best of luck, brave terraformers!
