Preface
If you are having microphone issues, this guide should get your microphone working properly in Task Force. Task Force currently uses your Steam Voice Settings. Steam uses, by default, your default communication device in windows.
Check Windows Sound Settings
Navigate to your Window's Sound Settings; Right click on the speaker in the bottom right hand corner and select "Open Sound Settings."
Check to make sure your input device is correct. If it is correct, you will see the audio bar under "Test your microphone" light up blue as you speak.
This will fix your microphone problems unless you have changed your voice settings in Steam.
Check Steam Voice Settings
Open your Friends & Chat list in the bottom right hand corner of Steam:
Open your Friends List Settings:
Navigate to your voice settings:
Your Voice Input and Output should be set to default (or your desired devices). Performing a microphone test will allow you to hear your voice if you have the correct devices selected. The audio bar next to your avatar will light up blue, after clicking "Start Microphone Test," if your microphone is inputting correctly:
Everything should work as intended now.
