Identifying When The Sneaky Bastards Are Coming

These players come for one thing, your loot. However, they don't dare risk their ship and loot in head-to-head combat. Instead, these men will stealthily board your ship and wait until the time is right. Now, how does one know when these men are on yer ship? First, listen for cannon-fire or loud splashing. Hearing a loud splash usually means someone has gotten out of the water and onto your ladder. If you hear the cannon-shot, look in the direction of the sound. By doing so, you may see the ship firing and what they are firing. If you think you see a name-tag flying overhead or if you see a player you don't recognize as an ally, then you best be ready to kill...

Let's say you're deaf or missed the player sprinting about on your ship, then you better make this part of the guide become something that you naturally do. Search the ship. There are many hiding spots on Sea of Thieves, whether it be in the Crow's Nest or under the deck, they can be anywhere. Check around your ship. Look in the crevices, the corners, even inside your loot if you have it piled up in one spot. The type of ship you have also makes a HUGE impact on where they may hide. Basically, look everywhere you don't normally check. If you see one of these bastards, then pretend you didn't see them and blunderbuss the hell out of them!

You may see a ship following you as though it always knows where you're going. This happens though. You can't always prevent this from happening. You will eventually fail to protect your loot and your ship. This guide isn't meant to make you survive the stealth attack perfectly each time. It's just meant to help you get started on the impossible goal. Also, if you made it this far, here's a secret tip. Sometimes having a casual conversation with these men can also work. Also, here's another secret tip. If you want to completely prevent people from sneaking onto your ship, then don't play the game...
