General Tips

To effectively navigate this guide use the search feature. To do this, press CTRL + F on your keyboard and type what you're looking for in the search box.

Resident Evil Village have a focus on puzzle and exploration, so I recommend playing for the first time without guides for a better experience.

Remember to keep a manual save from each location in the game, this can help if you missed any achievement.

The difficulty related achievements are stackable, so beating it on a higher difficulty automatically unlocks the lower difficulty ones.

You unlock infinite ammo to buy after the first playthrough with Completion Points and can use it for achievements.

I highly recommend saving your money for the STAKE Magnum to use in your Village of Shadows playthrough. You'll need 2.1 Million Lei.

For this section, I strongly recommend the use of a spreadsheet that I made with the description to find all the collectibles needed. There's a checkbox to track your progress, to use it just make a copy to your Google Sheets. Click here to use.[docs.google.com]

In addition, to complement the spreadsheet use the maps below. Click to enlarge the images.

* Goats 19 and 20 are not on the maps. Use the spreadsheet.

Destroy a Goat of Warding. Destroy all the Goats of Warding. There are 20 Goats of Warding. Use the spreadsheet and the maps to track them. Unlock a simple lock with a lockpick. After finding a lockpick use it on a locked cupboard or drawer. There are plenty of opportunities through the game. Solve a Labyrinth. There are four in the game, but you only need to solve one for the achievement. The earliest one is in Castle Dimitrescu. First you have to find a ball, search in "Castle Dimitrescu 2F, Opera Hall" it is in a chest close to a breakable window. Then, head back to the Merchant's Room and use the ball in the miniature. Break every breakable window in Castle Dimitrescu in a single playthrough. There are 19 breakable windows. Use the spreadsheet and the maps to track them. Open the door to every outhouse in the village in a single playthrough. There are 10 outhouses. Use the spreadsheet and the maps to track them. Complete the village map. To achieve this you have to reveal the entire map by walking to every place possible. You'll automatically get this on your collectibles playthrough. Read every single file in the story. There are 47 files. Use the spreadsheet and the maps to track them. Collect every crafting recipe. There are 11 recipes. Use the spreadsheet and the maps to track them. Move the ball from the Winterse's bedroom into the study. In the prologue, after putting Rose on the bad, you'll see a yellow ball in her bedroom. All you need to do is push the ball to the room with the laptop. Use Photo Mode. Just open the Photo Mode from the pause menu. After closing it the achievement will pop. Craft an item in the Crafting menu. You start with First Aid Med and Handgun Ammo recipes, simply craft one of these when you have enough materials. Purchase something from the Duke in the story. Just buy something from the Duke, you will encounter him a few times. Equip a gun with a customizable part. Pretty self explanatory, see "Castle Collectibles Map 1F" for the earliest free opportunity of gun part. Combine a treasure into its complete form. There are plenty of chances to do this during the game. The earliest opportunity is by combining the Azure Eye treasure and Silver Ring. The eye is found in Castle, Dungeon (B1) in the door that need the "Iron Insignia Key" and the ring in Hall of Pleasure (2F), inside a drawer (same room that contains one of the four key item masks). Just combine both after this. Hunt an animal during the story. Just kill any type of animal during the story. Shoot down five flying crows in the story. The best part to do this is on your second village visit, after castle Dimitrescu, you'll see four crows eating a body in the graveyard and two at the start of the Fallow Plot area. Pick up the shotgun to make the kills easier. Shoot down a Soldat hanging from the production line in the Factory. You can do this achievement when you meet the Duke in the Factory for the first time, shoot the rope in one of the bodies hanging on the production line. Have 777, 7,777, or 77,777 Lei in your possession in the story. After beating the story, buy the WCX Assault Rifle for 30.000 CP. Once unlocked the WCX, you can buy from the Duke the "Riffle Ammo" recipe. Now, buy a lot of stuff to get to 0 Lei and start to craft Riffle Ammo, each ammo costs 7 Lei so all you need is to sell 111 Rifle Ammo.Veteran Equip every gun with their customizable parts in the story. There are 22 gun parts in the game, I recommend leaving this to post Village of Shadows playthrough, you'll need 1.7 million Lei. Use the "Collectibles and Exploration" section to track guns and gun parts. Create every type of item available in the Crafting menu. There are 11 Crafting Recipes, some are attached to unlock certain weapons and then you can buy their ammo recipes. Use the "Collectibles and Exploration" section to track crafting recipes. Finish the story only using four or less recovery items. You can combine this with , and . Play on Easy NG+, it sounds harder than it is. You can check the challenge status in Pause Menu > Challenges. Finish the story without spending more than 10,000 Lei. If you do this on NG+, there's no need to spend that much Lei. You can check the challenge status in Pause Menu > Challenges. Finish the story within 3 hours. Three hours is plenty of time for a speedrun, do this in NG+. You can see your time in pause menu, Not including some boss fights, finish the story using nothing but close combat weapons. For this, use the "Karambit Knife" from the Extra Content Shop in the Main Menu. It deals a lot more damage than the default knife. You can use other weapons in the whole playthrough, as long as they don't hit any enemies (thanks to Hekzy for this tip). Remember to continue making manual saves as a backup.

You can check the challenge status in Pause Menu > Challenges > , the counter must be at 0. Otherwise, you won't get the achievement. Parts where you must shoot to progress: • Castle Dimitrescu (2F), Atelier - Shoot to ring the five bells. • Castle Dimitrescu (2F), Armory - Blow up a wall with a pipe bomb. • Moreau Part - While avoiding Moreau, you must shoot a piece of wood to make a bridge. • Heisenberg's Factory, Grinder Area - You have to shoot to stop the grinder. • Heisenberg's Factory, Ventilation Shaft - Shoot to stop the ventilator. • Heisenberg Boss Fight - Use the vehicle weapons against him. • Miranda Boss Fight - To shoot the big yellow orb over Miranda's head.
