Quick Download For The Lazy!

so here is the base download for people who dont want to read that other sections, which explain what why and how this thing works! i spent a whyle on em, so please do check

this COULD be up to 4% slower than the other option but oh well

anywho, you could download a premade mesa package here![www.dropbox.com]

then, either run system deploy, (easyer, but installs everwhere. dont worry, it dosent effect anything)

or a propiaty deploy, then follow the on screen steps!

for both, if it asks for the application folder, just type in your purrgatory folder!

then, BOOM! purrgatory on an super pld laptop!

YEY!

ok, now, what and how did we just do that?!

hey! im rowan! and today ill be teaching you how to fix goofy things like this!

so whats the problem and how do we solve lt?! well here we go!

The Problem!

so, an interesting fact about most 2000's and earlier laptops is that they did not have an conventional graphics card, or at least, not in the same way we do it today!

back then, you ethier got a wierd thing to plug in, or your laptop had an gpu tailor made and built in just for that line of computers!

if your getting the error above, your the people whith the integrated gpu!

but what is is? and why is it bad??

so, ya know how on most desktop pc's you can take out the gpu?

yea! all that an integrated gpu is, is an removable gpu but smaller and you cant remove it. that sounds bad, but it saves a lot of space, time, money, and it makes the system go faster because the laptop gpu was desinged whith that system in mind! cool huh!

the issue whith that tho

whyle having an integrated gpu could be neat i guess, it certiantly issent for programmers who need to know what gpu your using to run their program! and thats why godot gets mad when you try to run purrgatory! it's looking at your computer, trying to figure out which type of gpu you have so it can send commands to it, but instead, it finds this wierd and unfimiliar one so it quits :O

And now everyones favorite, the sulution!

so the way you fix this is kinda odd and im going to explain it for basically no reason herewego!

so if your integrated gpu can do gpu things, and godot is just trying to make gpu go, then shouldent it be as simple as installing a driver to fix this issue?

actually yes!

and along strolles in the mesa injector!

mesa is an open source version of opengl! the thing godots trying to get to tell it what to do??

anywho, all mesa does, is it finds out what gpu your using, then maps all the regular gpu stuff to it!

imagine it bieng like adapting usb typec to usb! they both do basically the same things, but you need an adapter to help the two out or nothings going to get done!

How To Actually Do The Thing!

woops! sorry, kinda went off on a bit of a rant,.....

the more you know i guess,...

anyways, lets get onto installing this thing!

the really nice thing about this version of the installer is it does everything for you!

just a fer yes / no questions, then BOOM! your done!

and here it is!

this is the download page! [github.com] BUT FIRST!

so, before we get to downloading mesa, firstly, you must check if your prosessor supports SSSE3!

it's easy to check!

just go to this list of supported devices,[en.wikipedia.org] then look for your prosessor!

if your prosessor is supported, then please download the MinGW version of mesa! (4% speed boost woow) and for everyone else, please donwload Msvc version!

ok! whelp here this is the download page! [github.com] please make shure to download the right downloads for your system!

now after downloading, (i promice where almost done! sorry!) because for some goofy reason the file is in .7z format! so we will have to go online to convert the file to zip[cloudconvert.com] (SORRY!)

so after the eon of loading, unzip the file and run either local install or system installl. dosent matter!

when the program asks for the location of your application, paste in the folder of purrgitory
