Description
Start defending the room as usual. The first two phases should be fairly easy.
When the trapdoor (on the ceiling) opens (usually in 2nd phase) don't close it completely, close it partially and let the door reset in the open position.
The duration between the door reset to the open position and CatNap's attack is more than 5 seconds (~7 seconds, but 5 seconds is my safety threshold) keep resetting the trapdoor within this duration.
When the terminal starts beeping, take a battery from the sockets (except the socket that powers the lights) and place it in the terminal socket, as usual. No need to rush, reset the door in between if you need / want to.
When the timer ends, switch to green hand, take the terminal electricity, and hit CatNap as usual.
Ignore all other CatNaps when the trapdoor is open (even if partially).
And there you go, you beat CatNap by mostly staring at him while he stalked you through the trapdoor!
[This trick is usually used by speed-runners, for the obvious reason. I am adding it here as there is no Steam guide about it.]
Explanation
CatNap from trapdoor is always real.
There can't be more than one 'real' CatNap.
CatNap's attack timer resets along with trapdoor.
Although I am not sure if the socket that powers the light has something to do with the trapdoor, I just included it to not mess with it.
