It's Those Weapon Mods That Deal Damage Based On The Weapon's Level.
That's all. Everything else, you can go full defense / build whatever you want, you don't even need firepower or anomaly power to deal good damage, since the damage from these mods are based on the weapon's level, and can be further optimized with Resistance Piercing.
Alternate mods combination can be anything that deals level-based damage, for example:
Death Chain II
Ultimate Storm Whip III
That one mod that procs explosion + weakness (i forgot the name) III
Claymore II
Sandstorm III
etc.
For a one-shot rifle or a small magazine weapons (ex: Breach pump action shotgun), Grand Opening is a very fun mod. On lv. 50:
Landing a hit with the first bullet in a magazine creates a powerful explosion, dealing 258 466 damage in a 5 meter radius. | 1s
This mod can be obtained from a legendary pump action shotgun Darkness Charmer.
Fortress can be used if you want to be tankier and doesn't mind a bit of DPS loss, after the New Horizon update, its effect is now:
Shots increase your current Armor and Resistance by 5%, stacking up to 3 times. At maximum stacks, the buff is doubled and additionally grants 30% damage increase for 10 seconds.
The downside of these damage mods is that they may not affect Yagak's Anomaly Rifts, but since i go full defense for the rest of my builds (Harbinger Trickster, perma-shield), I'm able to just ignore them safely even on solo.
