How to open OneShot

How To Start Your Computer

On either the top or the front side of your case you will see a button or 2 buttons, the bigger one is most likely the one you want to press or the one with the icon below:

If you do not see a button or it's not doing anything, check around the case or if you know the case look at the manufacturer's documentation. If you are sure you're pressing the correct button or you do not have a case you might have to open the computer. On ATX motherboards there should be the front panel connectors on the bottom right, for this you will have to figure out what motherboard model your computer has or if it has silk-screen markings look at those. On some OEM boards the position of the front panel connectors may be different so make sure to look at your motherboard's manufacturer's documentation. Once you're ready get a screwdriver or something metal to short the POWER+ and POWER- pins, this will cause the computer to boot and enter a POST. A POST is a Power On Self Test, this is to detect all the hardware in your computer and make sure it's all working properly. If you run into any errors during the POST process or warnings make sure to read it and if it allows you to continue, do so. Next you should boot into the operating system of your choice or what the OEM has preinstalled onto your computer. If you boot into your computer's UEFI or on older computers, the BIOS, you might not have an operating system installed or your boot drive was not detected. If this happens check all your drives, reconnect any SATA cables if any are loose and if you're using NVME make sure the drive is properly screwed down & connected. The next section will talk about how to log into Windows 11 as of January 31st, 2023. I can't cover all operating systems so if you're not sure make sure to watch a guide on how to log into the operating system of your choice.

How To Install Windows 11

If you do not have an operating system and you wish to install Windows 11 this section is for you. The first step is to obtain a Windows 11 ISO or DVD. If your computer has a DVD drive I would recommend buying the physical copy to get a DVD. Then you would put the DVD into your disk drive and then start your computer, then continue setup from there. If you have multiple drives, make sure to format and install to your boot drive. Formatting is the process of either marking as empty (quick formatting) and then adding file system files or zeroing out (full formatting) and then adding file system files. If you do not have a DVD drive on your computer you probably want to get a digital copy, for a digital copy you would download the Windows 11 ISO from the official Microsoft website and then install Rufus. Rufus helps a lot when creating bootable drives like a USB or DVD. When you open Rufus you should see this:

Please note this guide is mainly for Windows users because I don't use Linux and I don't know what its like.

What you want to do next is select the USB drive which you want to use, make sure to select the correct one as it will format it and erase all data off of it. Next step is the boot selection, choose the ISO you have downloaded and click select. Leave all other stuff default unless you know what you're doing. Once it's ready click START and it will start and tell you once it's finished. Once you're ready and it's done unplug the USB drive and then restart the computer you're installing Windows 11 on and then use the installation instructions if you had a DVD since the files are the same, just on a different media.
