Do You Remember....

...this "guy" in OneShot?

Some plush toy stuffed penguin found in the apartments in the City Refuge (the second room in the Apartments[oneshot.fandom.com] )

Step 0 (optional)

Before you start this "walkthrough", if you want to do it again after, save a copy of the game save files before performing Step 1 (the game state that you "need" for Step 1)

Step 1

On any NON-first pass, BEFORE "Solstice" is activated, go to the Clock room, there will be a door where you will need to enter the "password" .

Step 2

Instead of the "desired" one, enter the "wrong" "password": HELLO PENGUIN (with a space, it is located near/after Z)

Step 3 ("easter Egg" Begins...)

And so instead of seeing "Wrong password" you get into the "secret room" (by the way, the sound of opening the door [accepting the "password"] is different from the sound when opening the door for "Solstice").

Next, there are Niko's "monologue".

....

When she YES! Niko is "she" for me X) says "Hello... Penguin?", you hear the voice "HELLO" - the same as the plush toy made, and the room will "shake". Heh.

... So, then there will be a moment in which a choice will appear (the SECOND choice), and in which you need to select "Play penguin's game". Yeah, that's it.

Step 4 (FUN Begins)

And now, after selecting "Play penguin's game", in the next selection, select "Become penguin"

Step 5 - Moment Of "truth" [fun]

Niko is "freaking out", buut... WILL BECOME A PENGUIN. Just the same as that plush

That's it. 🤣

Well, The End Of The "easter Egg"

Next, Niko will become normal and shocked (really, why 🤣 )

Then Niko wil politely say "Goodbye Penguin!" what is a mistake😜 , after which the penguin will be consumed by "distortion"

After leaving the" room", Niko will say "Let's never talk about this". 😆The phrase, by the way, partly hints that you will not be able to get into this "room" again

And What Exactly Was It?? O_

"Easter eggs" is not a "coincidence". It is a reference to the comic game Hello Penguin[hellopengu.in] , which was made by developers - OneShot developers friends one of the OneShot developers comment about it (from here): Team OneShot/LittleCatFeetLLC (that's us, the developers) did NOT develop Hello Penguin, but we are friends with the developers who did develop Hello Penguin, hence the references.

Every each option after selecting "Play Penguin's game" is a separate option / a phrase in the game that you need to enter [write] in a text field in that (Hello Penguin) game.

Save Files

To repeat this "pass", you need to replace game's saves with a "backup" copy, since you can only get into the secret room once. Therefore, for repeated passes, use the previously made (at step 0) save files (it is so OneShot-way 😊).

Meanwhile, I made a copy of my saves there to start the "fun" (maybe even near the right door, I don't remember exactly). Here is a link to Google Drive[drive.google.com] . To use them and replace saves, if you are using the steam version of the game, you need to disable steam Cloud syncing for the game, then unpack and replace the files in the folder C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming (for example, C:\Users\test\AppData\Roaming\Oneshot). Please note, that the save files contain a nickname for the game, so you probably don't need to replace the p-settings.dat file. And, of course, you shouldn't replace the settings.conf file : it contains, for example, full-screen mode settings (of course, window mode is enabled there 😊).

Btw.. When I replayed the game, I made several copies of saves at several stages of the "pass". That's where this saves came from =).

I finished the game in all possible ways, but I didn't even surmise about IT !!!

....Hm, there are many posts in "General discussion" about it. But there was no separate guides about it. So I created this guide. Still, my guide is not some "original" information. It's only copy! So sorry for this, maybe.... : (
