Unlocking The Mini Game
You can unlock the dancing mini game by completing A Hoodton Request.
Enter the inn and interact with the quest board to the northwest. Climb the stairs. Interact with the roaming woman in purple for a quest. Exit the inn. Exit Hoodton to the south.
Exit west twice. Head north and interact with the woman in purple for a fight. Afterwards you will participate in a brief minigame. There is no reward for winning and no penalty for losing.
Playing The Mini Game
Once you have unlocked the quest, you can interact with the woman in purple outside the Hoodton Library, select a dance, and then complete the mini game.
The mini game is NOT a rhythm game. You have a set amount of time to enter the button prompts from left to right. The sliding bar is an indicator of your remaining time.
To beat the mini game, select a dance and then complete each round perfectly within the allotted time. You can complete each dance for a reward. If you complete all of the dances throughout the entire game, you'll get an extra reward, an accessory I am personally a fan of: the Dancing Wreath.
Different dances are available at different stages of the game. The first few are available immediately. The second few are available after you complete the Cumgeon and return to Hoodton. The final few are available in the post game.
Of note,
- The higher Ingrid's Intelligence, the more time you have to complete each round.
- You may have difficulty playing the mini game if your keyboard layout does not have the Z and X keys next to each other. You can add keyboard layouts to Windows if appropriate. The QWERTY layout has the Z and X keys in the bottom left corner and they are next to each other. You can use the Windows key + Spacebar shortcut to switch your keyboard layouts.
