running in circlesone of the best tactics to stay alive for a long time is running in circles (clockwise or counterclockwise, doesn't matter). basically, you just stay on the "outside of the map", and run from corner to corner (or, situationally, from area to area which has the least enemies). you must not kill zombies unless they directly in front of you or are trying to attack. do not, also, attack those enemies that appear from the outside of the map. dive jump a lot. killing range-attacking Bosses should be your top priority

you see, there is a limit of how many enemies may appear on the map - and with the tactics above you effectively reach that limit and get a big level of control toward the hoard

in the Barricade mode it is even better, because here you can delay the next wave

delay the next wavein the Barricade mode there is not only the limit on how many enemies might be on a map, but also the limit on how many enemies might be per wave (Hostiles indicator). if you stop killing enemies whenever there is only 1-20 Hostiles left, then the game will stop (or slowdown) sending new regular zombies at you

knowing it, you can get yourself "a filler time" between waves: delay the next wave and run in circles - enemies will hopelessly follow you,

that tactic is useful in the various cases:

with Auto-Experience perk, you get a passive experience every second, no matter direct confrontation; so with that tactics, you will slowly (very slowly) get an experience. you can, for example, obtain level 5 before the second wave starts. it is long, boring and tedious, but it is possible (also useful to get the proper perks for some achievements before the next wave starts);

with Regeneration and Triage perks, you keep to heal yourself;

the game timer does not stop even if next wave doesn't start. there are some achievements that require you to survive for a specific time and with tactics you can do it effortlessly

if you are going to use that tactics (and you will), then it is probably not a best idea to use "Snare" perk - those Sentry, Dynamite and Ghost powerups, will kill enemies for you and move you to next wave

with that tactics and proper perks you can survive for a long-long time, including hours. honestly, there is a higher chance that you will die from your own mistake (like being too reckless, or diving into the enemies' crowd, or forgetting to use grenade and so on). for example in one game I managed, dumbly, to dive three time in a row right into a Minigunner's fire spray and my health went from 100% to 0% in 10 seconds. stuff like this happens when you play non-stop for more than hour, so be careful and don't be reckless

force Boss spawnif you will keep delaying the next wave on the waves 4 and higher, then you will make game constantly spawn Bosses, that might be useful for some achievement

the idea is simple - delay the next wave and keep running in circles until game spawn any Boss. immediately kill him without hurting regular zombies . keep running in circles more and game will send another Boss after you and so on

with tactics in mind, you can kill 20+ Bosses in first 5-6 waves, which is useful for certain achievements that require you to kill some number of Bosses before certain wave starts and also good in getting lots of experience before reaching high waves

Boss abusingin the Barricade mode only a certain number of Bosses can simultaneously exists on a screen

knowing that, you can abuse the game mechanics into locking it from spamming any more Bosses and keep you "fighting" with the same Boss. when you see a Boss you will be comfortable to be around with for a long time (I think a Brawler is the best option here - he is slow, has tons of HP and overly weak - but an Axe-man and a Saw-man will go too), don't kill it and concentrate your fire on a regular zombies

it is an effective way to keep the game from spawning new Bosses over and over and messing your plans

keep in mind that game eventually will increase that threshold and will allow two Bosses to be at the same time, then three, four, five and so on. game slowly increases that cap every 10-12 waves

start Barricade Mode with whatever weapon you wantthere is a glitch in the game that allows to select weapon you would like to start Barricade Mode with. it is quite helpful with certain achievements that requires you to use a specific weapon against enemies

in order to utilize that glitch do the following

select Free Play mode

activate Practice mode

select what weapon you would like to start with

do NOT close Practice mode, hit Back

start Barricade mode

voila - you begin with a needed weapon

start Survival Mode on whatever map you wantthere is a glitch in the game that allows to select on what map you would like to start Survival mode

in order to utilize that glitch do the following

select Free Play

select a needed map

hit Back

start Survival mode

voila - you start in desired map

boss killingthere two effective tactics how to quickly kill any Boss in the game

if you play as a Gunner class, then learn "Rage Unlimited "perk, pickup Rage powerup, and use M79/MGL against the Boss

if you play as a Medic class, then pickup Shield powerup, and use Axe to kill the Bossboth those tactics are deadly against any Boss and they will die in 1-3 seconds. Gunner has inner +25% damage bonus to any explosion (that's why we are using M79/MGL) and also his damage doubles under Rage powerup. Medic gets double damage under Shield powerup and Axe is just very powerful anti-boss weapon

it is better to stick with a Gunner variant if you not that good with melee weapon

achievement trackerin the pause menu select achievement option to see what achievements you have obtained and what not. click on non-ontained achievement to make game track it for you (the word "tracking" will appear)

tracked achievement's progress will shown at the bottom of the screen. if tracker shows "n/a" then you cannot get achievement anymore (wrong map, wrong mod or failed required task)

about multiplayeryou can get any achievement in multiplayer (with a few exception, mostly in terms of perks, no Vengeance perk, no Bullet Time and so on)

so if you struggle to get a certain achievement solo, try to get it in online or cooperative game

beta versionthere is a beta version of the game that you can activate and play in

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=182912431#153413

the password for beta is "superior2019"

the beta, mainly, introduce various Boss balances (more health for Minigunner, Machinegunner spawns less often and so), as well removing of wounded NPV soldier from Online Coop Oil Platform Barricade map

all achievements are available in that version, no restrictions

consolepress ` (tilde) to open console in the game

here you can input the following commands:

DOA-modecheck the above console commands. do you see DOA mode?

DOA mode is a tweak to the game that adds a powerful DOA powerups. DOAs are chicken-like items that fly around you and shoot in the same direction you face and whose firerate depend on the gun you have in the arms (meaning that slow weapon, like M79, will make them shoot slowly, and fast-rate gun, like MAC10, will make them shoot fast as you are)

DOAs are affected by all Ghost-related perks ("Apparition", "Mirror Image", "Wild Bunch", "Fire Team", "Strike Team") and with a proper setup you can get a pretty powerful team that will clean the whole map in a mere seconds

it does not replace regular Ghost powerups, but it decreases their chance to spawn

DOA is not a cheating and does not block you from getting achievements (there is even one special achievement related to DOA)

overly, it is very powerful powerup that can help you in surviving

Random Perk mode, Strategic mode, Auto Perk modethere are three different modes in how you would like to control your perks on leveling up

Random Perk mode - on leveling up, game allows you choose among seven random perks. all 74 perks are available. every single level you get a one perk

Strategic mode - on leveling up, game allows you choose among any perks. all 74 perks are available. when you get 25 level, you don't get perks anymore

Auto Perk mode - on leveling up, game automatically chooses a perk for you. you can define a pool of perks that game should choose from. every single level you get a one perk as long as there are perks in the pooloverly, for achievements' sake you should always play in Strategic mode, it gives you enough freedom in what perks to choose (and set your priorities) and you rarely need to be higher that 25th level anyway

in Strategic mode, if nothing says otherwise, consider selecting the following perks in the order:

Messy (we don't care about extra XP, but extra damage is nice)

Powerup Hook

Snare (that and Powerup Hook manages all powerups for you)

Rage Unlimited (for killing Bosses)

Luck (more powerups)

Friendly Fire (a perk for a hoard control)

Boss Power (more powerups from Bosses)

Heavy Ammo (more ammo for your gun)

Remote Detonator (helpful in a hoard control)

Powerup Extender (longer powerups effect)

Apparition

Fire Team

Mirror Image

Wild Bunch (that and three perks above for Ghost and DOA powerups, they clean map in a mere seconds and good Boss killers)

Man of the moment (gives a free Bullet Time when you kill a Boss)

Quick Fingers (faster reloading)

Dexterity (faster reloading)

Improved Loadout (move faster)

Armor (more protection for you)

Regeneration (extra health for you)those 20 perks are must for everyone. the perks below are good too and consider get them as you wish and if you really need them

Strike Team (replaces Ghosts' shotguns with AA-12. not that big difference)

Accuracy

Laser Guided (both that and Accuracy perk increases fire range and accuracy, bit lower spread of fire a bit)

Intensity (fires faster, but the difference is not that big and also means more reloads)

Heavy Armor (increases your defense a little, but not significant)

Anarchist (gives you an extra grenade every 30 second, but there are higher chances that you will a Grenade powerup)

Less Clumsy (move backward faster)

grenade-oriented perks Anarchist - every 30 seconds you will get a grenade

Bomb Fanatic - get a Grenade powerup for killing a Grenade Boss

Boss Power - Bosses will leave three powerups after their death, one of them might be a Grenade powerup

Luck - increases the chance that any powerup (including Grenade ones) will appear

Power Hook + Snare - the former drags nearby powerups to use, the latter automatically picks them up

Remote Detonator - allows to detonate grenades in an area where a crosshair is

Molotov Detonator - grenades will set survived enemies on fire

Lone Wolf (optionally) - forbids some powerups from appearing, but in return increases the appearance of other powerups (changes the odds) - Grenade powerups will appear more

Tips, Tricks, Glitches #3

powerups-oriented perks Powerup Extender - all powerups stay 25% longer

Luck - increases the chance that powerups will appear

Power Hook + Snare - the former drags nearby powerups to use, the latter automatically picks them up

Lone Wolf (optionally) - forbids some powerups from appearing, but in return the increases the chances that other powerups will appear (changes the odds) - Sentry, Ghost and DOA powerups will stop appear

Boss Power - Bosses will leave three powerups after their death

Apparation - Ghost powerups and DOA powerups will appear more often

Fire Team - Ghost powerups make ghost to appear with shotguns

Strike Team - Ghost powerups make ghost to appear with AA-12

Mirror Image - Ghost powerups make two ghosts to appear

Wild Bunch - Ghost powerups make four ghosts to appear

Come Closer - Turbine powerups deal damage to enemies

Meat Grinder - Turbine powerups suck enemies in and deal damage thim

Pneumatic Destroyer - Rammer powerups will be exploded at the end

Turret defence - Sentry powerups will appear more often

Engineer - Sentry powerups stay 30% longer

Heavy Sentries - Setry powerups deal 25% damage

Weapon Station - upgrades Sentry powerups into more powerful ones

Man of the Moment - killing Boss will give a Bullet Time

default setup for all achievementsif nothing says the otherwise, then your default setup for every achievement should be this:

character - Gunner (deals lots of damage when Rage powerup in-due), good overall stats, extra damage with explosions (including M79/MGL, grenades and various powerups)

map - Oil Platform Barricade or Prison Barricade (the former is good when you need more control over enemies, the latter when you need more kills per second)

main weapon - Jack Hammer, additional weapon - M79 (you must start the Barricade mode with Jack Hammer and find M79 in process)

perk mode - Strategic Mode (read above what perks you should select and in what order)

DOA mode - active

difficulty - very easy (slower enemies' movement)

mission-related achievements Guardian. Complete the Point Defense mission

Winner. Complete all the story missionsin order to get those two achievements just play the Missions mode. Point Defense is the 9th mission and totally there is 18 missions

Warlord. Complete all missions at 5 bronze-star difficulty

Merc. Complete all missions on 5 silver-star level

Top Dog. Complete all missions on 5 gold-star level

Walker. Complete the Walker mission on any silver or gold star levelafter finishing the mission you can replay it with a slightly increased difficulty. each time you complete a mission on the next difficulty you get a star. first five stars are bronze ones, then five silver, followed by five golden. it means that you have to replay a single mission 15 times in order to promote yourself from the 1-bronze star (easiest difficulty) to 5-gold star (hardest difficulty)

you can save yourself a time by using console's "randstars" command - it will randomize the number of stars for all unlocked mission so you save yourself few minutes or even an hour

you can also use console's "setstars" command to set a certain amount of stars to any mission

Gunslinger. Complete any mission on 3 silver-star level using only the default Glockdescription is a bit misleading. you have to beat any mission that already has at least 3 silver-star rating. in other words you can beat 5-gold star rating mission with default Glock and still get that achievement

few important rules:

DO NOT switch to any weapon (including melee) at all. as soon as you left Glock from your hands the achievements will be failed

DO NOT collect any powerups that may attack enemies (DOA, Ghost, Dynamite, etc)

DO NOT blow up propane gasit would be very wise if you lock a Glock as soon as mission starts

Untouchable. Complete any mission without taking any zombie damagejust play the very first mission for that achievement

Barricade-mode achievements Fortress. Survive for 10 attack waves in Barricade Mode

Blockade. Survive for 15 attack waves in Barricade Mode

Fifteen Minutes In Jail. Survive for 15 minutes on the Prison Barricade map

Thirty Minutes In Jail. Survive for 30 minutes on the Prison Barricade map

Held The Line. Reach Wave 8 in Bridge Barricade mode

Boogeyman. Survive for 15 waves on The Farm Barricade map

Boogeymonster. Survive for 30 waves on The Farm Barricade map

Keeper. Reach wave 15 on The Farm map without any damage to the scarecrowthe plethora of "survive xxx waves" and "survive xxx minutes". all of them require the same skills and tactics to succeed

whenever possible just keep running in circles ("Fortress", "Blockade"). for other ("Held The Line", "Boogeyman" and "Boogeymonster") select right perks (read above) and take defense nearby scarecrow or soldiers

"Fifteen Minutes In Jail" and "Thirty Minutes In Jail" are easy if you will just delay the next wave

"Keeper" is the hardest achievement here because of requirement to protect scarecrow from damages, but there is nothing you can really do here just to utilize all your skills and efforts

ColdBlooded. Survive for three attack waves in Barricade Mode without movingit might seem like a tough achievement, but you just need to start a Barricade mode with a weapon of choice. believe me, completing that achievement with Jack Hammer is way easier than with default Glock

LockDown. Reach wave 2 in warehouse Barricade without any zombie breaching the fence perimeter

Bouncer. Survive 5 waves in Single Player Warehouse Barricade without the lower sentries firing a single shottwo kind-a-like achievements that you can get in Warehouse Barricade map

"LockDown" requires to not let enemies inside of perimeter for a first wave. easy if you start a Barricade mode with a Jack Hammer or any other of choice

"Bouncer" requires to not let lower turrets to fire a shot

again, easy just need a to start with a right gun. the only thing you have to put attention on is Bosses (you will face at least two of them in five waves). just move around them and do not let them to enter into the lower part of map

Frontman. Reach wave 21 on the Asylum map without moving below the top Barricade

Sweeper. Reach wave 31 on Asylum without moving below the middle Barricade and staying above the top Barricade until wave 21

Defender. Reach wave 41 on Asylum, staying above the top Barricade until wave 21 and above the middle Barricade until wave 31the three most challenging achievements in the game. requires lots of luck, patience and skills (and honestly way easier in Multiplayer)

all three achievements are related to each other and you must understand how they work. check the image below

do not enter into Zone#1 in between waves 1-20 and you will get "Frontman" achievement

do not enter into Zone#1 in between waves 1-20 and do not enter into Zone#2 in between waves 21-30 you will get "Sweeper" achievement

do not enter into Zone#1 in between waves 1-20 and 31-40 and do not enter into Zone#2 in between waves 21-30 you will get "Defender" achievementsounds unnecessary complicated, but the rules are, actually, as simple as this - 1) do not enter into Zone#1; you have right to enter into Zone#1 only between waves 21-30, 2) never ever enter into Zone#2

if you will be doing like this for 41 waves, then you will get all three achievements

and by the way, in multiplayer only a person that need those achievements must be above/below barricades, all other players may move as they wish

survival-mode achievements Survivor. Survive for more than 2 minutes in survival mode

Immortal. Survive for 10 minutes in a single Survival game

Hidden. Survive for the first 5 minutes in Survival mode without taking any damagethree common achievements and all require the same tactics: run in circles. it is recommended to pickup Scout class here (he has the best speed) and MAC10 weapon (light-weighted, fast reloading)

Stronghold. Kill 100 zombies in Survival Mode without moving from start of game

Endure. Kill 1000 zombies in a single Survival gametwo "kill-them-fast" achievements. you do not need to start with some fast-shooting weapon like AK47 or MAC10, but good-n-oldy Jack Hammer will work nice too

Achievements #2

weapons-related achievements Arms Dealer. Get at least one kill with ten non-melee weapon in one gameeasy achievement. game is very generous with giving you lots of weapon. there is a chance that you will get that achievement accidentally while doing other chores

Perforator. Get the minigun and kill 50 zombies with it inside 9 secondsanother easy achievement where you don't even need to try. if you have problems, wait until next wave start (there are more enemies at the beginning of the each wave)

2x9MM. In one game kill 2 Bosses using the Dual Glocksand another easy achievement. just use any gun to lower down Bosses' health to critical level and finish them off with Dual Glocks

Fire Chief. Burn 800 zombies with the Flame Thrower

Popcorn Party. On Cemetery Free Play, use the flamethrower to kill 50 suicide bombers during one gamethose achievements require some luck and effort, because Flame Thrower is not a good weapon overall (bad horde control, low damage and spread, above-average reload time). do not hesitate to back yourself up with a better gun (Jack Hammer, AA-12, Super Shorty, AK47, MAC10 and so on). switch to your backup weapon when you will be overcrowded or Boss appear

mind that various powerups (like Ghost, Sentry Gun, Mines) will kill enemies for you, however such killings will not count in that achievement. so, you should not pickup powerups without a real need

"Popcorn Party" requires more efforts because it a bit more dangerous and risky. just keep using your favorite weapon and switch back to the flame thrower whenever you see a suicide bomber. the main difficulty here is not accidentally killing Suicide bombers with your regular guns

Too Close For Comfort. Kill 25 Bombers with a Steam Hammer in one game while staying outside their explosion range

Extinguisher. Pick Firestarter and Spark and kill 1000 burning zombies in one game with the Steam Hammer

Vaporized. Kill 7 Bosses with the Steam Hammer in one game without taking any damagethree achievements related to Steam Hammer from easiest to hardest

Steam Hammer has lots of bad sides, being an extremely-short ranged, too heavy, low-ammo and low-damage weapon. you can mitigate its disadvantages by using the following perks: "Heavy Ammo" (bigger magazine), "Quick Fingers" + "Dexterity" (faster reload), "Accuracy" + "Laser Guided" (better range), "Improved Loadout" (less weight).

for the "Too Close For Comfort" achievement, just get "Accuracy" + "Laser Guided" perks as fast as you can and then this task would be a breeze. it would also help if you will pick up "Negotiator" perk

for the "Extinguisher" one, it is bit more complicated. mind that this achievement does not prevent you from using other perks but "Firestarter" and "Spark". you can (and should) pickup other perks too. also mind, that zombies may burn from any sources of fire (Blaze powerup, Molotov grenades, Firestarter perk) it does not matter. what matter is that you kill a burning zombie with Steam Hammer

"Vaporized" is the hardest one among those three because it requires you to not take any damage. what it does not require, however, is killing other enemies with Steam Hammer or dealing damage to Bosses with Steam Hammer only. you should do the following - play the game as usual, and save Steam Hammer as a backup weapon. whenever Boss appear, deal him enough damage to make him almost-dead, then switch to Steam Hammer and finish him. the hardest part is doing it with seven Bosses in a row, without taking a damage. use running in circles, delay the next wave and force Boss spawn tactics

Free Man. Finish off a Boss zombie with the crowbar

No Guns. Kill 500 zombies with a melee weapon

Firefighter. Kill 250 burning zombies with an axe in one gamethree achievements related to melee weapons. do not forget you can change with what melee weapon you start the game (in options)

the "Free Man" is an easiest one. no-brainer here. just attack any Boss until his health will drop to the critical level and kill him with the crowbar. melee weapons deal lots of damage to the Boss, so you can even do not switch to the primary weapon, and hit-and-kill any Boss with crowbar. it is that easy

the "No Guns" is not hard either. mind you that achievement does not force you to do it in one game - the progress saves between the game. also, you have to kill 250 burning zombies with Axe anyway ("Firefighter" achievement), so start with it

the "Firefighter" is a bit more complicated because it requires you to burn zombie first. any source of flame will work here: Flame Thrower, Blaze powerups, Incendiary powerups and on. probably the best tactics is using "Firestarter" perk together with "Spark" perk and just equip Axe. don't let overcrowd yourself and keep an eye on your health

Collateral. In a Free Play or Barricade game, choose the Friendly Fire perk and use the M107 to kill 50 suicide bombersM107 is that big and powerful sniper rifle that shoots at seemingly infinitive distance

quite an easy achievement - just keep M107 as a secondary weapon and whenever you see a Suicide Bomber, just grab it and make a shot

Grenadier. Get Shrapnel and Midair Trigger then get 500 kills with the grenade launchergrenade launchers are MGL and M79

you don't have to use only "Shrapnel" and "Midair Trigger" perks, others are free to use too. your best friends here are No Reload powerups and Rage powerups with "Rage Unlimited" perk (both will make you shoot grenade launcher without reloading)

Messy. Kill 1000 zombies with a Jack Hammer with only the Messy and the Powerup Hook perks and without taking any damageprobably the hardest one among weapon achievements, because it forbids you from using any perks but "Messy" and "Powerup Hook", and also requires to not take any damage at all, so running in circles to the rescue. it is also good idea to abuse Boss to make game "lock" on a some melee Boss (like a Brawler) - it will save you from sudden appearance of range-attacking Boss and getting shot by accident

Achievements #3

grenade-related achievements Efficiency. Kill at least 10 zombies with one grenade

TeleFrag. Perform 20 remote grenade detonations

Demolitions Expert. Get Shrapnel and Remote Detonator then use 10 grenades in one game

Molotov Grill. Pick only four perks: Fire Starter, Friendly Fire, Remote Detonator and Molotov, and detonate 12 molotov grenadessome easy grenade-based achievements. high chances are that you will get them unknowingly

for "Efficiency" just wait until zombies assemble in a group and blow them all

for "TeleFrag" you have to obtain "Remote Detonator" perk first

"Demolitions Expert" is self-explanatory

"Molotov Grill" is a bit harder because it allows to pickup four perks only, but detonating 12 molotov grenades is a quick deal and you will finish before things start getting hard

Explosive Irony. Deal the killing blow to a Grenade Zombie with a grenadeamusing task

you have to blow up a Grenade Boss with a grenade. you don't need to attack him with grenades only, so just attack him with your regular gun and deal a finishing blow with a grenade.

Running On Empty. From the start of a game, survive for 15 minutes without holding or picking up any grenades

Dont Disturb. Kill 3 Grenade Bosses in one game on Cemetery Free Play without using any grenades during the game

Rest In Peace. Kill 6 Grenade Bosses in one game on Cemetery Free Play without using any grenades during the gamecounter-grenade achievement that requires you to not use any grenade at all

do not get "Remote Detonator" perk - it comes with two grenades and the achievements will be failed automatically. also do not get "Powerup Hook" perk and "Snare" perk - they will make Grenade powerups come to you and will be automatically picked up

as for "Running On Empty" just can delay the next wave and run in circles

"Dont Disturb" and "Rest In Peace" are bit more complicated to get, because here you have to play on Cemetery Free Play map, so delaying the wave is not an option here. there is nothing to do here more than just wait and be patient. also, double check that you are playing Cemetery Free Play, not Cemetery Barricade

Ignition. In one game use Remote Detonator to blow up 250 Suicide Bombersprobably one of hardest achievement in the game

to begin with you need lots of grenades here, so pickup the right perks (read above), however, do not get "Snare" perk - otherwise you will unintentionally activate powerups like Sentry that will kill Suicide Bombers. you can use Powerup Hook if you want, just be very careful with what powerups are dragging to you

also, do not use any perks that will attacks enemies, like "Hand of God", "Seekers" and others. also-also, do not use "Friendly Fire" perk - you don't want Bombers to kill each other. you must do it yourself

the overall tactics looks like this:

as wave starts, quickly run in circle and blow-up with grenades all suicide bombers you will see

do not kill enemies if they are not an imminent threat

run in circle and delay next wave, kill only new enemies that comes into the map. if you see a new suicide bomber blow him up. in other word, do not attack enemies that already in the map, kill only those that come into the map

[n]abuse Boss mechanics[/b] and make a Brawler (he has tons of HP) be the only Boss in the map. immediately kill range-attacking Bosses

do not pickup powerups that will attack enemies without a real need[/list]

after applying that tactics, the whole task would not be that hard, just very long and repetitive. the core idea is that you want to delay next wave as long as possible and hope that game will send you more Suicide Bombers during the intermission.

achievements image 244

powerups-related achievements Execution. Kill at least 250 zombies using sentry guns

One Shot One Kill. Kill 250 zombies with the rage powerup in one game

Pyro. Set 250 zombies on fire with the incendiary rounds in a single game

Unseen. While cloaked, kill 250 zombies in one game

Dyn-o-mite!. In one game, kill 500 zombies with the dynamite powerup

Flasher. Kill 100 zombies stunned by flashbangs in one game

Time Traveler. Accumulate 90 seconds of Bullet Time in one single player game

Slow Death. In one game kill 2500 enemies during Bullet Time powerupslots of achievements here and you have to use "powerups-oriented perks" (see above) to get those achievements quickly. top priority is "Powerup Extender", "Luck", "Power Hook", "Snare", "Boss Power"

for "Execution" achievement you have to kill 250 enemies in the one game (achievement's description does not mention it)

for "Dyn-o-mite!" achievement, you might have a better luck while using some narrow and small map. consider to check Bridgehead Barricade map (mind that it is not an easy map overall)

for "Time Traveler" and "Slow Death" you definitely need "Man of the Moment" perk

"Slow Death" may appear as a hard and challenging achievement, but actually there is a quick trick here. first, pick up "Man of the moment" perk, then start doing "force boss spawn"-thing. the idea is that you have a perk that will automatically give you a bullet time whenever you kill a boss and then you abusing the game in constantly spamming bosses for you

All 4 Deadly. Get Fire Team, Mirror Image and Wild Bunch, then get a ghost pickup

DOA. Engage DOA mode in single player Free Play, then kill 50 zombies during a single DOA ghost powerup

Right-Hand Man. Get ghosts to kill 25 zombies in one streak while killing none yourself

Necromancer. Collect all ghost perks and kill 1000 zombies during ghosts powerupsfour Ghost- and DOA-themed achievements

warning! if you want to get Ghost achievements, then disable DOA, it messes with chances of Ghost powerup appearance

in order to get "DOA", "Right-Hand Man" and "Necromancer" you have to get all five Ghost perks - "Apparation", "Fire Team", "Strike Team", "Mirror Image" and "Wild Bunch" first. otherwise you will not get enough firepower to complete those tasks

coincidentally, "All 4 Deadly" achievement require you get some of those perks anyway

to get "DOA" achievement you have to activate DOA mode in console (see above)

Necromancer is the hardest achievement here, might be one of hardest in the game because of how inconsistent Ghost powerups are (you will most likely get a powerup when all enemies are already dead). first thing first, is get all above-mentioned perks as soon as possible (consider delaying the wave and getting "Auto-experience" perk). also, get "Messy" perk for extra experience. you goal is getting all five of needed perks before wave 4. also get the following perks - "Powerup Extender", "Luck", "Boss Power". do not get "Snare" perk, because you don't want other powerups to mess with your plans. after that it is all a matter of luck and patience. also, kill all Bosses before getting Ghost powerups, otherwise ghosts will try to kill Boss first and spend their time non-rationally

Magnet. Collect 10 zombie-attracting Rammers in one game

Moths to the Flame. Set fire to 50 zombies that are being attracted by a Rammer in a single gametwo Rammer-based achievements. both of them are quite easy, just be patient

for the "Moths to the Flame" it doesn't matter what the source of fire, but I think the using of Flame Thrower is the best option here. also you don't need to burn 50 zombies during a one Rammer, you can burn that number among few Rammers

Cover. Kill 25 zombies while remaining inside one Turbine area

Butcher. Get 10 zombies sucked into one Meat Grindertwo Turbine-based achievements. mind, that Turbines powerups do not appear in Barricade mode

in order to get a "Butcher" achievement, you have to get "Come Closer" and "Meat Grinder" perks

Well Supplied. Explode 3 propane gas tanks within a 10-second periodquite challenging achievement, but you overcome it by being careful and do not blow any propane gas tanks until you have three of them on the screen. just get "Luck" perk and play until you will get your first propane gas, do not blow it up and play further. then destroy all three of them at the same time. the hardest part is keeping your fire straight and do not let any bullet accidentally destroy those tanks. use accurate, one-shell only, weapon here. I recommend M107

Bad Move. In one game, kill 3 Bosses with landmineshard achievement, prepare for some frustration

first, you need to get Landmine powerups and lay mines in some place where regular zombies will not pass by (in some corner, for example). then, when Boss will appear, attack him until he has about 10% percent left and lure him into your minefield. repeat three times

sounds easy, buy with few factors it may become quite a chore

mind that a Brawler has immunity to mines, and a Grenadier, a Machingunner and Minigunner are not willing to follow you at all

Planting Seeds. Have 20 simultaneously active mines on The Field Barricade mapthat achievement will give you a headache if you don't know a trick how to do it

Mines powerups appear only if you have less than 11 active mines on a map. one such powerup can lay 8 mines. a little math should tell you that obtaining that achievement is not possible, but there is one perk that will help you - "Powerup Extender"

"Powerup Extender" prolongs the effect of Mines powerups to 10 mines per a powerup. with that thing in effect you may have a chance to get that achievement

first thing first, learn "Powerup Extender" perk

don't blindly kill the enemies, but let them come closer to your position, preferable come inside the fence. kill them here. hope that enemies will drop Mines powerup. when it happens go away from the battlefield and lay Mines in a place where enemies will not come thought. repeat with a second Mines powerup

Itemizer. Pick up 250 powerups or items in one game

Go-Getter. In one game collect 250 powerups without using Powerup hook or Snaretwo similar achievements that you can get at the same time

while "Itemizer "is overly easy to get (thanks to "Powerup Hook" or "Snare"), "Go-Getter" will be a big issue (for the same, but reversed, reason)

the trick here is getting "Luck "perk and keep killing only few enemies at the time. kill enemies, get dropped powerups, wait a few seconds, kill few more, get their powerups and so on. the game keep counting how much time has passed since the last powerup drop and will not spawn any more powerups until that timer is reset. what you need is controlling horde in the way that you can milk powerups from them as much as possible. by killing only few enemies and giving a break in between killing, you will get lots of powerups from a single wave. the other trick here is getting "Boss Power" perk and "force Boss spawn". since each Boss leaves three powerups after its death, you will get enough powerups from constantly spamming bosses into the game without actual proceeding to the next. more difficult waves the next wave as long as possible.

Achievements #5

perks-related achievements Collector. Collect at least 20 perks in a single game

Tough Guy. Kill 1000 zombies in any single game without ever picking a perktwo achievement, like exact opposites of each other

for "Collector" you just have to get as much experience as possible in short time. get "Auto-experience" and "Messy" perks as soon as possible

"Tough Guy", on other hand, requires you to put more efforts. first, get good weapon that will keep you safe for that time (Jack Hammer or AA-12 is a good choice here). second, pickup all powerups you will see, they will be your lifesavers. utilize in-map turrets against Bosses and just to keep horde in control. delaying waves will not be that helpful here, but still consider it as an option (if you need to restock turrets, for instance)

One Trick Killer. Survive for 15 minutes in a Free Play or Barricade game by only picking one perk and one new weaponinteresting achievement that otherwise would be quite complicated and challenging if not the ability to delay the next wave. the hardest part is waiting until 15 minutes expire and keeping yourself awake for 15 very long and boring 15 minutes. on other hand, you can always try that achievement in a pure way. in that case, I believe, the best option for your only perk is Luck perk (to get more defensive powerups) and as a weapon consider Jack Hammer (or start the game with Jack hammer and pickup M79/MGL)

Armory. Get Stronghold, Regeneration, Armor, Counterblow, Aftershock then survive 10 minutes

Weapons Expert. Get Dexterity, Intensity, Accuracy, Heavy Ammo, Improved Loadout then get 1000 kills

Boss Hunter. Get Friendly Fire, Mano a Mano and Boss Power then kill 5 Bosses in one gamethose three achievement tell you, quite self-explanatory, what you need to do and what perks to get

mind that you can get other perks too, game is not forcing you to use only those perks

as for "Boss Hunter" beware that "Mano a Mano" perk will make you get more damage from regular zombies, so be careful

Pushover. In one game, kick a zombie after that same zombie hurt you and repeat 20xinteresting and quite niche achievement

did you know that you kick enemies in that game? in order to do it you have to press the button that is assigned for grenades while having no grenades at all. in that case your character will kick the nearby enemies in a brave act of self-defense

achievement requires you to do it 20 times, so just engage into a big crowd and let them attack you, kick them all (you will get about 3-7 "points" to that achievement at the same time), heal yourself and repeat. easy as pie

Payback. Take 2500 zombies down with you using the Vengeance perkthat is one long-long achievement to get

at once Vengeance kills about 50-100 enemies, so you need lots of time to accumulate 2,500 kills. you can speed up process a little, but starting a new game, getting Vengence as your first perk and then bravely blow yourself under enemies' attacks. it takes less that a minute per map

it is once of the few achievements that cannot be done in multiplayer (because multiplayer lacks that perk)

Afraid of the Dark. On The Farm Barricade, choose only FireStarter and get 5 blaze powerups while protecting the scarecrow from any damageit might be one of the hardest achievement in the game and there is really not much you do about it but pray for a good random and luck

first, you can use only "FireStarter" perk, nothing else. second, the scarecrow should not take any damage, at all. third, you have to collect five Blaze powerups that appear annoying rare

start that Barricade map with Jack hammer or Super Shotty - both will be alright, you just need a good firepower with fast reloading and big spread. next, as soon as map starts, run to scarecrow and stay near it. kill enemies and keep an eye on how much ammo left and if you see enemy coming closer to scarecrow but you run out of ammo, then grab a melee weapon and kill him. don't waste time on picking up random powerups, care only about Ghost, Sentry, Rammer, Buller Time and, of course, Blaze.

whenever Boss appear try to lure him under the turrets, while keeping regular zombies away from scarecrow. while doing that keep a distance from a scarecrow because Boss may accidentally hit while trying to attack you

Achievements #6

zombies-related achievements American Hero. Kill over 5000 zombies in one game

Horde. Kill 50 zombies within a ten second period

Ladies First. Kill 5 female zombies in one streak without killing a single male

Stopping Power. Kill 150 running zombies in a single game

Gut Buster. Decapitate 100 Big Boy zombies in a single game

Big Harvest. Decapitate 100 Big Boy zombies in a single gamethose achievements require you to kill certain number of zombies - all of them are quite easy to obtain

at first it may seem that getting "American Hero" achievement is challenging and complicated achievement, but that's not at all. when you will get used to running in circles tactics you would be able to kill 5,000, 7,000, 10,000 and even 20,000 zombies in a single game, it is just a manner of practice

"Horde" requires to kill 50 zombies at any ten seconds period during the game. there is a similar achievement - "Perforator", that urges you to kill 50 zombies in any 9 seconds period with a minigun. I hope you get an idea how to combine those two achievements *wink-wink*

"Ladies First" is amusing misogynic achievement that you easily can get during "Palms Asylum" mission (second mission in the game). there are lots of female doctors here who would gladly die to help you in getting the achievement

"Stopping Power" requires to kill those zombies that run toward you - and that pretty much it. the only thing you should know, that with each wave and level it appears that more zombies start running at you. so if you have a hard time in getting zombies run, then just play further

whenever you kill the Big Boy zombies (those fat ones) there is a small chance that their head will fall down and they will run at you. you need 100 those decapitation to get "Gut Buster" achievement. the longer you play the higher the chances that their head will fall down

"Big Harvest" is probably hardest achievement in that group because it requires you to kill a lot of Big Boys. on a positive hand, The Field Barricade map has only one sector from each enemies come it, so it would be easy to control the hoard

Wipeout. In Free Play or Survival, kill 100 zombies within the first 30 seconds of the gameinteresting achievement that requires some non-ordinal thinking in order to get it

you plan should be this:

start Cemetery Free Play map (it has the smallest size), Severe difficulty (more enemies and faster spawning)

as soon as level starts, grab you melee weapon and run into the crowd, start killing them around (you don't need any other weapon here, but melee ones)

learn perks in the following order: Remote Detonator, Seekers, Hand of God, Saw Blades, Venom

blowup two grenades (from Remote Detonator) into a big crowds

continue mayhem until clock will hit 30 seconds. you should get about 150 kills, which is more than enoughor alternatively, you can get Vengeance perk as soon as possible and let enemies kill you - that way (plus few kills on your own) you should get 150+ kills in no time

Flak Jacket. Get hurt by and survive 10 Zombie Bomber explosions in one game

Dive Bomber. In one game dive jump through 10 Zombie Bombers causing them to detonate themselves

Chain Reaction. Pick up Friendly Fire and use a Zombie Bomber's explosion to kill two more nearby bombersfew achievements related to Suicide Bombers, nothing hard here

"Flak Jacket" requires to actually get damage from Suicide Bombers' explosions. so pickup "Armor" and "Heavy Armor" perks to stay alive

"Dive Bomber" requires you to trigger Suicide Bombers' explosions by diving near them. if they managed to hit you with the explosions, then you will get few points for "Flak Jacket" achievement above

"Chain Reaction" is might be tricky because it requires you to get around few suicide bombers in one place, but you can get that achievement easily in the 5th mission - Bodyguards. there are lots of suicide bombers right at start of a level. just kill enough regular zombie to get "Friendly Fire" perk

Atomic. In one game, kill 5000 zombies using any type of explosionby "explosion" game means the following: M79/MGL shots, Grenades, Dynamite, Bouncing Betty, Mines, Propane Gas Tanks, Rammer + "Pneumatic Destroyer" perk, Venom + "Payload" perks, Hand of God, "Seekers" perk, and "Friendly Fire" expositions. as you can see the list is quite heavy

start with getting right perks. you have to pickup "Friendly Fire" (those Suicide Bombers will blowup lots of enemies for you), "Anarchist", "Remote Detonator" and "Bomb Threat" (those three for grenades), "Seekers" + "Heavy Seekers", "Hand of God" + "Wrath of God" + "Apocalypse", "Venom" + "Payload", "Pneumatic Destroyer" and other on your taste

also start the game with M79/MGL grenade launcher

all and all that achievement is not hard, just boring and long. you will spend about 30 minutes on it

Killstreak One. Reach a stats KillStreak of 1000 zombies

Killstreak Two. Reach a stats KillStreak of 2000 zombies

Killstreak Three. Reach a stats KillStreak of 3000 zombies

Immolation. On The Field Barricade map use the flamethrower to reach a 1000 killstreak without taking any damageKillstreak means killing a certain number of enemies without getting hit in between. if you get a hit you don't need to restart the map, you can continue forward, but Killstreak counter would be reset back to 0

those three achievements are quite hard and require lots of efforts from player. keep running in circle and abuse Bosses (see above) - you don't want to kill Bosses at all, because there is a chance of appearing range-attacking ones and that will mess your plans

"Immolation" is hardest achievement here for few reasons, it demands to use subpar weapon with lots of downsides (flame thrower), and also asks to use a map where you cannot keep running in circles. for that achievement you have to position yourself behind main fence and quickly switch back to the main weapon on need (mainly when Bosses appear or when enemies are nearby)

Warming Up. Kill 10,000 zombies

Slaughter. Kill 100,000 zombies

Absolute. Kill 250,000 zombies

Superior. Kill 500,000 zombies

Extermination. Kill 750,000 zombies

Thinning The Horde. Kill 1,000,000 zombieshello, grindfest! and there is nothing to say here more

to get those achievements legit you have to spend 150+ hours. the fastest way to raise your kills is Cemetery Free Play map with severe difficulty. you will get about 5,000 kills in 15 minutes in that way. you can start with Very Easy difficulty and in that case you will get about 4,000 in 15 minutes

mind you that number of enemies will skyrocket the longer you play, so in 30 minutes you will kill about 12,000 kills on Severe difficulty and 8,500 on Very Easy. in 60 minutes there will be about 28,000 kills on Severe difficulty and 24,000 on Very Easy (ultimately, about that point Very Easy raises to the same level of difficulty as Severe is)

will, the math tells that you need about 50 hours to get 1,000,000 kills but that only in the case if you will never die in at least 45 minutes, which is just plain hard. if you are not a purist and don't like the idea of mindless grind, then consider Steam Achievement Manager

Achievements #7

Bosses-related achievements Gunbarrel. Kill the minigun zombie Boss

Targeted. Kill 10 minigun Bosses in one game

Assaulted. Kill 7 machine gun Bosses in one Barricade game within the first 30 waves

Butchered. Kill 5 butcher Bosses in one Barricade game within the first 25 waves

Defused. Kill 3 grenade Bosses in one Barricade game within the first 20 wavesthose five achievements force you to kill certain number of Bosses (some in a given wave period)

since the chance of appearing of a certain Boss is strictly random, prepare to spend lots of time in waiting for a certain Boss - or alternatively force boss spawns and hopr for the best

SpeedKiller. Kill any Boss within 30 seconds of the Boss appearingthat is an easy task that you will complete without even trying

the only thing you should be aware of that 30 second timer starts before Boss actually appeared at the map (as soon as red arrow indicator tell you about its arriving). so, technically, you have less than 30 second to kill the Boss

a Brawler has more HP than anyone, so it could be problematic to kill him in 30 seconds period, but you definitely will not have issues with other Bosses

Victor. Kill all zombie Boss types

Double Duty. Kill each Boss type twice in one game

Maximum. From the start of a game, kill at least one of each zombie Boss type while not dropping your health below 100%three "kill-them-all" achievements with progressing difficulty.

there are seven Bosses in the game:

Axe-man

Saw-man

Butcher

Brawler

Grenadier

Machingunner

Minigunnderin order to get those achievements you have to kill each of them at least once. since the game does not send them all one after another, there is a chance that you will kill at least 20 Bosses before killing each type at least once, so be prepared

all three achievements have the same tactics of unlocking - force boss spawns

the "Maximum" achievement might be the hardest once, because it requires to not take any damage at all, but with enough practice and tricks above you can do it

Big Game. In one game, kill two Bosses without killing any other zombie in between

Hat-trick. Kill 3 Bosses in 30 seconds

Bullet Rain. Kill two Minigun zombie Bosses within two minutes of each otherthree lookalike achievements that require you to kill certain Boss fast, or in specific order

for "Big Game" you need patience and a bit of luck. start Barricade mode and play until wave 10 (that's where game starts sending two Bosses at you). now, keep one Boss alive and wait until the second Boss appear. now, with two Bosses on the map, attack them both until the critical level. after that start killing regular zombies (finish the wave). there is a room between waves, about 3-5 seconds when game stops sending more regular zombies and you will have an opportunity to finish those two Bossess without nobody to mess around

for "Hat-trick" start playing in Free Play mode. in Free Play game will constantly send Bosses and you have a chance to control and abuse them on the map. wait long enough until Boss appear, damage him enough. wait for another one and do the same thing. now, when the third Boss appear, kill him and kill those two that you damaged before. there is also a glitch in the game, there is a chance that after killing a Machinegunner in 7th mission - Walker - game will automatically count that achievement as completed

"Bullet Rain" is a pure luck-based achievement that you need to continue trying. the best option here is Free Play mode. wait until Minigunner appear and immediately kill him. now just hope that another one will popup soon. technically you can keep one Minigunnder alive and just wait until the next one and kill them both, but keeping one of him alive and not dying might be hard, but it is your call

Multiplayer

Play online

Create Game

Permissions - Friends-Only Game

Start

Start gameif you did everything right, then you shall start an online game but solo, in that case you complete above achievements

you will get "Organizer" achievements when you die

those "Team Trainer", "Team Recruit", "Team Soldier", "Team Elite", "Team Red" achievements are really straightforward, but you have to keep in my that in online mode enemies do have more health and they appear in higher numbers. in may take lots of time before you will be able to get "Team Elite" and "Team Red" achievements. actively run in circles and keep abusing the boss mechanism

for "Headhunters" you have to kill 20 bosses in one game

for "Close Encounter" you don't need to damage with melee weapons only, use the weapon of a choice and kill the Boss with melee weapon only when he has critical health

to get "Machinist" you need to stay long enough near the turret until its upgrade meter reach the end mark and the turret will be upgraded into more powerful one. mind you, it works only with in-map turrets, not Sentry powerups

"Explosives Expert" doesn't count M79/MGL blasts, so use grenades, mostly

"Accuracy Expert" as with other similar achievements, you can use any other weapons to critically hurt the Bosses, and then finish them with M107

Back To Life. In an On-line Coop game, perform your first revival

Resurrector. In an On-line Coop game, perform three revivals in a single game

Sustained. In an On-line Coop game, revive another player and make sure they do not receive any damage for 15 seconds afterwards

Resurgency Expert. In an On-line coop game, play as the Medic and revive team members 15 times in a single game

Back2Back. In an On-line Coop game, stay within reaching distance of another player while not taking damage for 30 secondssadly, those five achievements you cannot get in singleplayer, non in any way. you might be thinking about using Local Coop mode, but it will not work, achievements require online play

however, in Local Coop mode, game does count the progress of those achievements (via achievements' tracker), just don't give them to you. if you alright with this, then you can use Steam Achievement Manager software to unlock those achievements whenever you complete the achievements' task in Local Coop mode. for instance, whenever game shows you that you revived your teammate three times, you can open Steam Achievement Manager and unlock the "Resurrector" achievement for you. otherwise, play online game, since there is nothing more you can do

to start Local Coop mode, you need to use a controller. if you don't have one, then install Virtual Controller software ( https://sourceforge.net/projects/vjoy-controller ) and trick the game into thinking you have one

misc achievements Breather. Pick up health then survive 25 seconds in Free Play without damage or firing a single shot

Death Cheat. Survive 5 minutes with health staying below 25%two interesting health-based achievements. both of each have the same tactics for completion

just achieve required task (either pickup Health powerups or drop you health below 25%) and start running in circles. that's all you need - easy as this.

for "Breather" pickup some light-weighted weapon like MAC10 to be sure that zombies will not catch you

for "Death Cheat" be sure to not pick up Health powerups and don't use "Regeneration" perk and "Snare" perk

Flatliner. Bring yourself back to full health after nearly dying with Last Breathamusing achievement that requires you to almost die, then be saved with "Last Breath" perk and get back 100% health

the first part (almost die) is easy enough. what is a bit more complicating is getting your health back. you need "Regeneration" and "Triage" perks (to passively get you health back), you need "Powerup Hook" and "Snare" perks (to get those Health powerups whenever you want). with having all those perks, just start delaying the next wave

Not Addicted. Pick up 10 health power-ups in one game when your health is at 100%easy achievement. all you need to do is to get "Powerup Hook" + "Snare" perks as soon as possible and just play as usual - eventually you will those 10 Health powerups in no time

Bucket Of Nails. Without receiving any damage from the start of a game, pick up a nailgun and fire 5000 nails

Ton Of Bullets. Fire 10000 bullets in Free Play, Barricade or Survival mode while not receiving any zombie damageit might seem to be two complicated tasks, but eventually both of them are easy

start Barricade game with Nailgun, kill few zombie until only 1-20 hostiles left. then just start running in circle and shoot outside the map (not into enemies). it will take a time to actually shoot 5,000 and 10,000 times. learn "Quick Fingers" and "Dexterity" perks (to reload faster) and "Intensity" perk (to shoot faster) - all three of them will save you few seconds in a long-term

be careful with zombies and don't let them catch you. after running around and shooting blindly for 10+ minutes you can become quite a bored, but don't be reckless and let zombies catch you outguard. be sharp

Pinpoint. In a single FreePlay game, survive for 5 minutes without your stats accuracy dropping below 50%interesting achievement that require you to be very specific about your bullets. grab some powerful, accurate and long-ranged weapon, like MAC107, and start killing zombies, making sure that you don't miss. it is just a manner of practice

Runner. Run a marathon length 26 miles/42 kmsachievement you shouldn't really care really about. you will eventually get if while you do the other achievements

Rhylos' 50. Collect a total of 50 achievements

Red 101. Collect 100 Nation Red achievementsself-explanatory, just get some achievements and you will get those too
