Step 1:
find a village, and buy some oak wood
2: go to the ship and repair the cabin part
3: if you summon or spawn the thing, run to the ship, hop on top of the cabin and as long as your ship is in a good position, hell get ''stuck'' inside it and his hitbox extends to his weapon so start smacking away and jump whenever he does a ground pound (this is how me and my freind did this so if it doesent work for you im sorry, this is just my method LOL)
