Main Issue
Years ago after I installed so mods from the workshop, I realized I wasn't able to earn steam achievements anymore. It seemed like it didn't matter what I tried. Besides removing the mods and making sure that cheats were disabled in the launcher, I have tried uninstalling the game, logging out and back into Steam, and even after getting a brand new computer it still didn't work.
If this sounds like the problem you've been having, I could have a potential fix.
Fix
Now I'm not sure if this is what fixed my issue, so if it doesn't work for you don't come at me.
Here's the step-by-step, but I suggest you read the first section of the guide to ensure you are having the same issue.
In you're library, go to the settings of the game by clicking the little gear and click "Properties"
Then go to the "Local Files" section and click "Browse"
Check integrity of the files, it should comeback without issue. If it doesn't, stop here and google this specific issue.
Open the "Modules" folder and delete the file named "steam_workshop_items.xml"
You're done! Hopefully you should be able to get some achievements now.
