Mind The Time! And The Sun!
This is a quick guide, for all players of Mon Bazou, focused on the game's time.
Why is this worth making a guide for? Because time in this game behaves differently from other games! Since it took me 25hrs of gameplay to realize this, I've made this guide to raise awareness of this unusual game mechanic.
Let me explain: In Mon Bazou, the in-game time passes at a different rate depending on how much sunlight there is!
Specifically, the in-game time is associated with whether the sun is out (which is from ~07:00 to 17:00).
1 minute of in-game time lasts about 3-4 seconds in real life, when the sun is out in-game. BUT, when it's night-time in game, that same 1 minute of in-game time lasts only 1 second in real life!!
But wait, there's more! This isn't just how the on-screen clock changes - this is the rate that basically EVERYTHING in the game happens at!
At night, we (the player) will see things like very fast firewood burning and very fast syrup pumping. But REALLY, what's happening is that time (in-game) is passing faster for us. The same amount of syrup is being pumped per in-game hour, whether it's day or night time. The same amount of firewood will be burned per in-game hour, regardless of day or night. Etc.
All that actually changes at day or night is how quickly we (the player) witness the in-game events happen.
So, with that in mind, what advice would I give to other Mon Bazou players?
1) Make it a priority to wake by 7am and sleep as soon as reasonable after sun-down. This will maximize how much real-life time the player has to use productively, in each in-game day.
2) Hoard coffees. Then, if staying up late for something (e.g. a street race), use the coffees to reduce your Energy bar BEFORE going to sleep. This will result in your character sleeping less that night, so they can still wake around 7am. (Not reducing their Energy before bed will result in them sleeping too late the next day, and having less real-life time to be productive that day)

Have a nice day!
