Step 1: Get Some Money.
To start with the work of making a house, first we need money to buy the initial materials, now, if you are new to Longvinter and don't know how to get money, at the moment you join a server you appear with 100 MK (the MK would be the money of the game) this money we can use to obtain a Fishing Rod from the vending machine, the price varies between 50-67 MK.
Now with the rod we can fish to get fish that we can sell to the same vending machines and get some MK.
When you reach 199 MK you can use the boat to go to Sgt. Lake Outpost, there are more variety of fish that you can gather and sell in that same place, to get more MKs.
Step 2: Get The Tent And Workbench.
This is the simplest step, since we only need to approach the vending machine located in Sgt. Lake
Once we locate it, it is only necessary to buy the 2 items named in the title that would have an average price of 3,700 MK.
Step 3: Location And Considerations For The House.
Once we have both objects mentioned above, we would already have what is necessary to make our house, now it is time to discuss an important topic that is the location of the house, for this it is easier to share the game map:
You can also enter the map, which by the way is interactive through this link https://vintermap.co/, this map also shows you the chests that you can loot, dock locations, plants, fish and other things like shops.
Suggestions for the location of the house.
Pick a location near a pier to make it easy for you to move between different locations across the map. Islands like Pettu, Nauvo, Hiittine and Kolkka are good options for beginners. Locate yourself in open spaces where you can take advantage of the land to build.
Step 4: Locate The Tent And Build The House.
Once we find the place where we want to build our house, we click on the tent to be able to locate it, when locating it we must take into account the area that is delimited in the form of a rectangle around the house, since this will be the area in which we can build without fear that someone else can come and collect our things.
Here is an example of a bad location for a store, since you cannot build in the red zones and you would lose a lot of useful space, not counting the trees that also take away us useful space.
On the other hand, in this photo we can appreciate a good use of the space since we have our completely empty rectangle, in which we are free to take advantage of all the space as we want.
Once we locate the house, we just have to go inside and locate the workbench to be able to turn this tent into a real house. Once the workbench is located, we would have to add 100 wood to be able to transform this tent into a house, but we have a limit of 24 hours to do so since it is the duration of the tent, but don't worry, collecting 100 wood is a task that will not take you more than 30-40 minutes.
once you complete your house you have to pay attention to the tab called Deterioration on the work table since, if your house reaches 0 wood it will be destroyed with everything inside, but houses can last about 1 week before being destroyed without adding wood.
Wood collection: You must find an ax or a chainsaw, where will you find them?, looking in the chests that you find scattered throughout the map, again I recommend the longvinter map to see where these are located: https://vintermap.co/ and click the MONUMENTS button to see the location of these chests.
REMEMBER NOT TO SHARE YOUR HOME PASSWORD WITH STRANGERS OR THEY CAN STEAL YOU.
Step 5: How To Add A Second Floor To The House And Turrets.
We are working, the guide is still under development, it will be updated soon.
You can leave a comment about what you would like to see in the guide.
