Progressing Through The Maps
After finishing the tutorial make sure all characters unlocked go through sciptus's questline as that way your characters can achieve their max inventory slots, make sure to pick the bummo bag at the trader in town to if you can. Going over to the valley of the beans (3rd map) talk to the npc to get your first class I recommend warrior as he is tanky enough to get you through the maps/boss. Make sure to pick up a different one for each knew character though or else you'll sort of soft lock your account in progression for a time.
By this point you should have some coins on hand that you should invest into upgrading your characters gear, of which you should be rocking some copper armour if you can (at least for your map pusher) so upgrade his stuff with upgrade stones found in the store in town. While your at it to get some storage increase for your chests as you'll definitely need it, also the sculpting tools, complete the grey stone guys quest and you would have unlocked statues. You should invest the power, speed and feasty into your pusher as currently they are account bound, which will change later. This is by buying the gold statue version for them which until you buy all the stamps from the town store and everything else mentioned you shouldn't do.
On the topic of stamps talk to Mr Pigibank and complete his quests to unlock some free stamps and so any you get later go straight to him. For right now, if you can put points into sword stamp, tomahawk stamp (obtained through Hamish first quest found at frogs in bottom right) and maybe longsword stamp (1 in 20000 from baby boas). Obviously if you start dying or missing put more points into things like target stamp, shield stamp and heart stamp. If you are actually pushing with warrior go talk to mutton in freefall caverns to unlock the fist stamp but you should also do it anyway for extra storage.
After that you might of noticed the green guy in the top right of town. Talking to him will unlock you the merit board, try your best to go through these so that you can spend acquired points in the merit shop. In my opinion in order to increase kills per hour (kph) first max monster respawn rate, then inventory bag but if your survivability is struggling put points into goblin of hemoglobin (note that if your kph is to low your better of buying food found in W1 town or dropped by enemies) after I say save to unlock recipes later. Remember to also do some daily tasks that way you can have more unlocks for the unlock menu (Tolkien ahhh name), get the weapon attributed to your class pusher and if you can craft the helmet and weapon. Get yourself the sleek shank and iron rings to but the hand ring found in the W1 shop is also good to (probably save yourself the grind with that there), also if you have any spare you should get something like the blunder bag, ironbites or the dirty coal miner saggy soot pants just buy any gems just yet.
If that still isn't enough head back to the valley of beans and unlock the red mushroom map and click the rope to head up to the owl. This is where you'll get free damage, drop rate, base stats, ect. If you can't beat amarock now remember to either get food, level up more and maybe even consider getting good. Note that to first unlock amarock you have to complete the ghost guys quest.
What To Do With Talent Points.
Each character has two talent presets each should be used for a skill set and a combat set, hybrid-ing doesn't end well so this is your best bet.
For warriors their main stat is strength (str) so try to increase that but if you start missing attacks try investing into wisdom (wis), another good way to increase their damage is through gilded sword and sharpened axe for now as you most likely don't have enough hp for meat shank to be good. For tab 2 put points in absolute unit and depending on your sharpened axe level mainly focus carry a big stick but if more points are into fist of rage main strength in units instead (maining refering to where most points go, rule of thumb put 2 into the "main" and 1 into the other). Depending your gear to str ess tested grab is also a solid choice.
For their skill (mining) str will always increase your efficiency but mainly put points into brute efficiency and idle skilling (note you should always focus things that increase afk gains and since basically every class can increase it for skilling and fighting I won't mention it again) and in tab 2 motherload miner and copper collector (if you have a good copper stack) are great mains. You could also pair rempestous emotions and tool proficiency for some brilliant bonus mining power (the goat), even firmly grasp it is a decent pick (get it).
Onto mages who specialise in chopping, tab 1 hard focus smart efficiency and then book of wise (last reminder 'bout afk gains!) to tab two (I feel clever yes) if you hard focus individual insight, deforesting all doubt and unt wis ted robes make for a good build. But depending on you green leaves stack I leave it to you to decide if it is worth it or if inner peace (more exp) is worth it, ie levels equal efficiency.
If you decided to push with mages first a bravo but tab 1 mainly stays the same just swap str with wis and if you lack accuracy put some agi in. For tab 1 knowledge is power and power overwhelming are carbon copies of warriors big stick and strength in units so follow advice giving their and chopping it up ez should be avoided it's bait as well as attack talents, you're next and free meal as right now you won't get any real benefit from them.
Finally we have the archer who's skilled in... crafting? It really doesn't matter right now so leave him to grind monster drops for now. In tab 1 it's nothing we haven't gone over but this time agi is main stat and accuracy goes to str though putting a few points into I see you could be good (as crit chance actually plays a part in afk gains, though only invest if not one shotting). Tab 2 have another is good but if you are actually planning to farm with archer invest in robbinghood if you can, high polymer limbs, sanic speed and garb of unr agi ng quality are good. Lastly any left over points can be used to be put into acme anvil for more production speed so that veins of the infernal can be scaled better that or if you are struggling smelting put left overs into smeltin erryday.
Party Dungeons
At the bottom of frogs map there will be a portal that will lead you to the first dungeon accessible, every week there will be a happy hour that gives you 20x rewards. This happens whenever lava feels like basically but I believe happens randomly once per day and is surprisingly key to account progression. What I'll be focusing on here is what to spend your flurbos on but any build because my knowledge for dungeons and love runs extremely low. Without looking at other things for now, stats you want to focus are talent points, afk gains and then weapon power however if you struggle with accuracy and defence here is a great way to increase them to.
For credit stats block chance is the best, drop rarity then crit chance is what I'd recommend you invest in but don't ask me about traits, my build is trash that I'm aware and will never achieve my equinox dreams *sniffle*. Sorry that I don't have much else to share as this is just setup for the next chapter... here it comes now.
Grind Time (skilling)
What you should be focusing on is anything that increase your main stat for said skill and it's efficiency or speed such as the rex rings found in party dungeons or ironbites (mining speed). You should also pick up the super source book from dungeons, it's the first and can't be missed and helps any bonus efficiency scale of it to supersize gains.
Stamps are also a big help like the pickaxe stamp, hatchet stamo, anvil zoomer (1 in 833 from frogs), smart dirt stamp (1 in 667 from oak tree), high iq lumber stamp (1 in 1110 from copper also book stamp can be gained here to, a 1 in 6670).
Also you can improve your rex rings by 3% by unlocking serrated rex rings from baba yaga (listed in next segment). Chopping can also be improved by getting stump prop (+%5) after completing the woodsman's quest at first map, also remember to use your upgrade stones to improve the tools power and keep them at their best version available to you for max gains.
How To Use Gems/Getting Free Stuff
Every hour on the hour with to 5 minutes of daily baba yaga will spawn at red mushroom map and can drop you free candy and star books (also that serrated rex ring recipe previously mentioned), for free candy every day you will be offered to ball do it. Remember that the momentum carried by the platform can increase your shots distance just so you can get those 12 hour candies.
At the top of carrots map you can enter the spike game that always starts at the hour and depending on your score can net you some gems. Gems also have a small chance at appearing in chests at the W1 Colosseum though right now your drop rate is most likely to low to make this worth it (side note you can iron boots here).
In town W1 talk to the dog every week do this now or you really will regret this later as it gives you a random better and some (doot) or so op I have spent +£100 to get them (yes I make bad life choices).
If you made it to wode boards map buy the silver antique daily to for later (pretty optional, also optional is the capitalst case, these are later used in mini boss spawns aka free gems/candy), but how do I spend my candy/gems?
Well I'm glad you asked because I'm still writing, anyway candy should be used sort of sparingly personally I would use it to make sure I have all the resources needed for gear this early on but you do you.
However what you shouldn't do is spend gems on candy or any other form of gacha, in my opinion card slots then infinity hammer then 4 slots of furnace and later increase your inventory space/chest space but if it's a permanent upgrade you are probably investing in something worth at least 1 purchase (my gambling mentality take it with a block of salt).
Merry Christmas!
At the time of writing it is 17 minutes until the 26 (boxing day), this last part is basically a thank you to the idleon community as it helped me so much and this is just a tribute to that. I'm also thanking you, the reader, I write amateur stories usually and am still taking literacy classes to improve so I hope my writing didn't bore you and achieved it's goal of informing and helping. But of course have a great Christmas and let me know what you though of this.
