The road to unlocking everything in Into the Breach can be a bit rocky, especially if you want to get every last secret! It took some advice from others for me to reach 55/55 so I wanted to share my experience with others. With knowledge of how to approach each achievement, you can complete all of them in under 24-hours of in game time.
General Advice
Be Willing To Abandon A Timeline- Even if that means abandoning mid-mission if you get the Achievement notification. You're aiming to unlock your full arsenal. If some timelines must fall so the rest can survive...so be it
- All but one achievement can be unlocked on Easy Difficulty, but it can be better to attempt some on other difficulties. I will note those achievements that I think can be unlocked faster/easier on Normal/Hard.
- Having a Pilot with a nice starting bonus can make getting to achievements that much faster. When in doubt, Reactor Upgrade.
Note: The following Achievements must be unlocked while using a specific Squad.
Rift Walkers
The Rift Walkers are the first Squad you get, and have a lot of tools to make your life easy. Huge Push capabilities, decent starting damage, and high end game damage make for an ideal starter Squad, and a great choice for Hard. You are fairly likely to get all of these achievements in your very first game if you are aware of them.
Watery Grave
Drown 3 enemies in water in a single battle
- Primary Mech(s): All
- Recommended Pilot: Harold Schmidt
- Helpful Conditions: Tidal Surge, Destroy the Dam
Each and every one of the Rift Walkers can push in some fashion. You just need enough water to punt enemies into. Be aware flying enemies cannot be drowned, so look for Archive with no Hornets.
Ramming Speed
Kill an enemy 5 or more tiles away with a Dash Punch
- Primary Mech(s): Combat
- Recommended Pilot: Henry Kwan, Archimedes
- Helpful Conditions: Defend the Train, Open Maps
You need to beeline for two power on your Combat Mech, and activate the Dash upgrade for your Titan Fist. Use your Artillery and Cannon Mechs to get the distance and line up the Dash. Most Defend the Train maps have a melee enemy that beelines for the front of the train, and a lot of open ground so take advantage of this to help line up the kill.
Island Secure
Complete the first Corporate Island
- Primary Mech(s): All
- Recommended Pilot: Harold Schmidt
- Helpful Conditions: Tidal Surge, Destroy the Dam
This should be among the first achievements you get in the game. For a first time player, Archive has more simple ways to assist your army than R.S.T., so I would recommend starting there.
Rusting Hulks
Rusting Hulks are the cheapest Squad to unlock, and fairly strong. Some consider them the strongest in the game, due to decent direct damage, strong environmental damage, and strong crowd control. What they lack in initial power, they make up for in electric storms. Eventually they can turn the battlefield into a death zone.
Overpowered
Overpower your Power Grid twice by earning or buying Power when it is full
- Recommended Pilot: Isaac Jones
- Helpful Conditions: 3 Reward Missions, Time Pods, Perfect Island
At the end of every Island, you can turn Reputation directly into Grid Power, so focus on missions with the most rewards. If you don't want to continue, you can sell all of your Pilots and Weapons to buy Grid. This is also a good way to get the Backup Batteries Achievement.
Stormy Weather
Deal 12 damage with Electric Smoke in a single battle
- Primary Mech(s): Rocket, Jet
- Recommended Pilot: Silica
- Helpful Conditions: Terraformer, Sand Tiles, Smoke Weapons
Upgrade Storm Generator as soon as you can, then upgrade Aerial Bombs with +1 Range. You can fire the Rocket at an empty square to shoot a cloud behind you as well. Electric Damage triggers on count 1, so you can use smoke like a 2 Damage attack that also cancels enemy Attacks. Extra easy if you find other Weapons like Smoke Launchers.
Perfect Battle
Take no Mech or Building Damage in a single battle (Repaired Damage is still Damage)
- Primary Mech(s): Pulse Mech
- Recommended Pilot: Isaac Jones, Bethany Jones, Mafan
- Helpful Conditions: 1 Reward Missions, Repulse Shield
Perfect play is the fastest way to get this, but you can stack the odds in your favor. Smoke to disable enemy Attacks, displacement, and Shields from the Repluse upgrade can all help. Using Bethany or Mafan will let you body block damage with your Shield.
Zenith Guard
The Zenith Guard are a strange Squad. The carry extreme damage, but are capable of hurting themselves a lot. The Laser and Charge Mechs can both output 4 damage to a single target, and the Burst Beam can roast an entire row. Fortunately they have access to the Shield Projector to help prevent self inflicted harm.
Get Over Here
Kill an enemy by pulling it into yourself
- Primary Mech(s): Defender
- Recommended Pilot: Abe Isamu, Bethany Jones, Mafan
- Helpful Conditions: Armor, Shield, Viscera Nanobots
Walk next to a 1 HP enemy, and target it with the Attraction Pulse. Style points if you have Armor or a Shield. Swagger if you trigger nano-healing.
Glittering C-Beam
Hit 4 enemies with a single laser
- Primary Mech(s): Laser
- Recommended Pilot: Henry Kwan, Harold Schmidt
- Helpful Conditions: Spider Vek, Robot Factories
Use the Charge, and the Defense Mechs to move enemies into position before firing. Maps which spawn additional enemies, or the Spider Vek Boss get special mention for their ability to flood the battlefield with enemies.
Shield Mastery
Block damage with a Shield 4 times in a single battle
- Primary Mech(s): Defense
- Recommended Pilot: Bethany Jones, Mafan
- Helpful Conditions: 1 Reward Missions, Shield Projector Upgrade
The damage absorbed by the Shield can be from your own Mechs, so feel free to yourself, buildings, even enemies and fire away with the Burst Beam.
Blitzkrieg
Blitzkrieg is a one of a kind Squad. It boasts both the most damaging weapon in the game with the Electro Whip, capable of hitting the entire map, and the only way to make blocking terrain. The weakest component comes from the Hook Mech, which can use the fact that it is armored, and can drag other enemies into position to help extend lightning chains even more.
Chain Attack
Have the Chain Whip attack chain through 10 tiles
- Primary Mech(s): Lightning
- Recommended Pilot: Henry Kwan, Archimedes
- Helpful Conditions: Robot Factory, Spider Vek, Building Chain
Use of the building chain upgrade, high building concentration, and high enemy density is the key to victory here. You can use boulders, and your own Mechs to extend the chain up to 3 additional squares.
Lightning War
Finish the first 2 Corporate Islands in under 30 minutes
- Primary Mech(s): All
- Recommended Pilot: Harold Schmidt
- Helpful Conditions: Tidal Surge, Destroy the Dam
You have 15 minutes for each island, if you're under 14 minutes when you arrive at the second island you should be okay. First thing, go to the options menu. Turn Combat Speed all the way to maximum, disable end turn confirmation, and enable Game Timer UI. The default hotkey for End Turn is Spacebar, get ready to use it. Quick thinking, fast combat animations, and smashing the Spacebar will guide you to victory.
Hold The Line
Block 4 emerging Vek in a single turn
- Primary Mech(s): Boulder
- Recommended Pilot: Abe Isamu, Chen Rong, Mafan
- Helpful Conditions: Block Emerging Vek Missions, Normal or Hard Difficulty.
Boulders can block emerging Vek, as can enemy Vek themselves. Vek will always attempt to re-emerge from the same tiles, so if you can stay in the same spot with all three Mechs, and toss a boulder onto a new emergency point you got it won. Normal and Hard spawn more Vek each round, so starting a game on those difficulty will make this easier.
Steel Judoka
Steel Judoka...probably the hardest Squad to master, and the achievements are also a bit tricky. However, this complicated squad is full of movement abilities, one of the most damaging weapons in the game in Cluster Artillery, and one of the two Armored Mechs in the game. You will need to maneuver the enemy around the battlefield constantly to get the harder Achievements.
Unbreakable
Have Mech Armor absorb 5 damage in a single battle
- Primary Mech(s): Judo
- Recommended Pilot: Abe isamu
Adding Abe doubles your number of Armored Mechs. Your Siege Mech does 1 damage, so you can target both the Judo, and the Gravity piloted by Abe and get 2 points every turn. Otherwise, body block a lot.
Unwitting Allies
Have 4 enemies die from enemy fire in a single battle
- Primary Mech(s): Gravity, Judo
- Recommended Pilot: Archimedes, Chen Rong
- Helpful Conditions: Vek Hormones Upgrade, Normal Difficulty
This Achivement does not count Bonk damage from blocking emerging Vek, or Bump damage you cause. Normal Difficulty adds more Vek to the battlefield each turn, making it easier to line up targets. Try to weaken them with the Siege and Judo as you push Vek into the enemy line of fire.
Mass Displacement
Push 3 enemies with a single attack
- Primary Mech(s): Siege
- Recommended Pilot: Lily Reed
- Helpful Conditions: Robot Factories, Spider Vek
High enemy density will be the most important thing for this achievement. Use the Judo and the Gravity to align a cluster of enemies, then let fly with the Siege. You do not have to displace the Vek, just Push them. So even if they die from the damage of the shot, or Bump into something you still get credit.
Flame Behemoths
There's a lot of love for the Flame Behemoths, and a lot of hate for them too. Either way, some people just want to watch the world burn. While lacking in direct damage, the Flame Behemoths boast the strongest crowd control in the game, and the second highest environmental damage. The Swap Mech alone can win you the map. Treating this as a control based Squad will lead to the best results.
Quantum Entanglement
Teleport a unit 4 tiles away
- Primary Mech(s): Swap
- Recommended Pilot: Mafan
- Helpful Conditions: Reactor Upgrade
This one is simple, upgrade the Teleporter with +1 Range and +2 Range then use it on something at maximum range. You can target your own unit and have this count.
Scortched Earth
End a battle with 12 tiles on Fire
- Primary Mech(s): Rocket, Jet
- Recommended Pilot: Silica
- Helpful Conditions: Terraformer, Sand Tiles, Smoke Weapons
Upgrade the Flame Thrower, and shoot the full distance every turn. You can also upgrade the Vulcan Artillery to ad a fire behind it whenever it fires, target an empty squad if you need to. Enemy attacks can light Forests on fire, so you can use this to your advantage as well.
This Is Fine
Have 5 enemies on Fire simultaneously
- Primary Mech(s): Flame, Meteor
- Recommended Pilot: Silica
- Helpful Conditions: High HP Enemies, Forests, Spider Vek
Igniting squares where Vek will emergy will cause them to light on fire the instant they come above ground. If you block for a turn, to light spare ground aflame, you will be able to light more emerging Vek on fire before they can act.
Frozen Titans
Frozen Titans have a lot of control, and a lot of firepower, but they operate in a confusing manner. From a Mech that fires backwards, to one that freezes itself whenever it fires the entire Squad seems to operate in reverse. The key comes from using these abilities in tandem, and using your Mechs to support each other.
Cryo Expert
Shoot the Cryo-Launcher 4 times in a single battle
- Primary Mech(s): Ice
- Recommended Pilot: Bethany Jones, Mafan
- Helpful Conditions: Shield
A Pilot that grants Shield makes the Ice Mech unable to be frozen while the Shield is in effect. Otherwise, make sure your Ice Mech is always behind your Mirror Mech, so the backwards shot can free it from the ice to fire again. Bonk and Bump damage will also free you, so you can plan ahead if you don't have Bethany or Mafan.
Trick Shot
Kill 3 enemies with a single attack of the Janus Cannon
- Primary Mech(s): Mirror
- Recommended Pilot: Archimedes, Herny Kwan
- Helpful Conditions: 1 HP Enemies, Spider Vek, Blob Boss. Push Tanks, Destroy the Dam
Without movement effects innately in this Squad, you need to rely on a bit of luck to get the enemies aligned. Align the board like so: [Enemy] [Mirror] [Enemy] [1HP Enemy] and then fire. The higher your Janus Cannon damage, the higher the HP of the two surrounding enemies can be. Another trick is to destroy a Dam with the Janus Cannon, the Drowning counts for kills. This is one of the more frustrating achievements in the game, and mostly requires patience.
Pacifist
Kill less than 3 enemies in a single battle
- Primary Mech(s): Ice
- Recommended Pilot: Bethany Jones, Mafan
- Helpful Conditions: Shield
Cover as many emerging enemies as you can, freeze whatever you cannot block. The Aegis can attack an empty square with the Spartan Shield to give itself a Shield to help block damage.
Hazardous Mechs
The Hazardous Squad can pump out the damage, all day, everyday. The downside being, half of that damage it to itself. Judicious use of Viscera Nanobots is vital to making this Squad work. If you like winning via destruction, this is the Squad for you.
Healing
Heal 10 Mech Health in a single battle
- Primary Mech(s): Nano
- Recommended Pilot: Harold Schmidt
- Helpful Conditions: Healing Weapons
Upgrading the Viscera Nanobots is the key to this Achievement. Once you do, it then effectively becomes a "Kill Five Enemies" mission. Other weapons that heal the entire Squad can also make this easier.
Immortal
Finish 4 Corporate Islands without a Mech being destroyed at the end of a battle
- Primary Mech(s): Nano
- Recommended Pilot: Harold Schmidt
- Helpful Conditions: Healing Weapons
Your pilot choice is a bit deal for this achievement. Armor helps preserve you from self damage, extra health keeps you going, a shield stops damage in the first place. As a last ditch preservation effort you can push your own Mechs with the A.C.I.D. Launcher, then remove the effect by repairing.
Overkill
Deal 8 damage to a unit with a single attack
- Primary Mech(s): Unstable, Nano
- Helpful Conditions: Detritus Disposal
Upgrade the Unstable Cannon damage twice, fire the A.C.I.D. Launcher at an enemy to double incoming damage, then fire the 4 damage Unstable Cannon. You can also use an A.C.I.D. puddle for the same effect.
Random Squad
You are at the mercy of a button press. Fortunately you have two advantages, you can pick whatever Pilot you want after you see what you are given, and you can press the button as much as you want. You can fish for a Squad that suits you for these Achievements.
Loot Boxes!
Open 5 Time Pods in a single game
- Recommended Pilot: Lily Reed
- Helpful Conditions: Complete all 4 Islands
Every Island seems to spawn at least one Time Pod, with Islands 3 and 4 being fairly likely to spawn 2. Conquer all 4 Islands without missing a Time Pod and you should be good.
Lucky Start
Beat the game (any length) without spending any Reputation
- Recommended Pilot: Abe, Kazaaakpleth, Mafan
- Helpful Conditions: Time Pods, Energy Rewards, Perfect island
Not being able to buy anything means no Grid repairs, Weapons, or Pilots outside of missions rewards or Perfect Island rewards. Time Pods will be your only source of Reactor, so prioritize them, you will get 1-2 per Island. Difficulty will outpace your Reactor growth rapidly, so aim for the Final Island as fast as you feel you can.
Change The Odds
Raise Grid Defense to 30% or more
- Recommended Pilot: Isaac Zones, Any Pilot with +3 Grid Def
- Helpful Conditions: 3 Reward Missions, Time Pods
At the end of every Island, you can turn Reputation directly into Grid Power, so focus on missions with the most rewards. If you don't want to continue, you can sell all of your Pilots and Weapons to buy Grid. This is also a good way to get the Backup Batteries Achievement.
Customize Squad
Your golden opportunity to shine. Use whatever Mechs you want, whenever you want, with any Pilot you want. The achievements have some strict requirements, but I will give some recommendations based on personal experience.
Mech Specialist
Beat the game with 3 of the same Mech
- Recommended Squad: 3x Combat, 3x Flame
- Recommended Pilot: Camila Vera, Harold Schmidt, Kazaaakpleth
- Helpful Conditions: Archive - Tidal Surge, Archive - Destroy the Dam
A Mech with high combat capacity, or strong crowd control capacity is recommended, a combination of both is ideal. Since your options are limited, having a Pilot that gives extra abilities your Mechs normally don't have is helpful. Try this with 3 Flame Mechs, it's pretty hilarious.
Class Specialist
Beat the game with 3 different Mechs of the same Class
- Recommended Mechs: Combat, Laser, Lightning, Aegis, Judo, Flame
- Recommended Pilot: Camila Vera, Harold Schmidt, Kazaaakpleth
- Helpful Conditions: Tidal Surge, Cataclysm, Lightning Storm, Destroy the Dam
Prime Mechs have a wide variety of options to work with. They're durable, damaging, and several have secondary control aspects. It is hard to go wrong with any configuration of Prime Mechs, other than the Leap (unless you take Abe as a pilot, or swap Hydraulic Legs onto the Judo). Having a Pilot that gives extra abilities your squad is weak in is helpful.
Flight Specialist
Beat the game with 3 flying Mechs
- Recommend Squad: 3x Ice, 3x Swap, 2x Jet 1x Nano
- Recommended Pilot: Bethany Jones, Chen Rong, Kazaaakpleth, Mafan
- Helpful Conditions: Tidal Surge, Cataclysm, Lightning Storm, Destroy the Dam
This can be a good opportunity to also get the Mech Specialist Achievement. There are a few setups I have used for this, but they can be a bit complicated. A good general rule, disabling is stronger than damage, but you need to be able to keep up with the disabling every turn. Easy is almost mandatory for this achievement, as 3 or 4 Vek spawning per turn will likely be too much to deal with.
Ice, Ice, IceIce Mechs require little to no Reactor, and can disable Vek every turn, while protecting themselves or targets as well as blocking emerging Vek. Freeze a target and yourself when a Vek is attacking you, to enable you to shoot again next turn. You can also attack an empty tile to force yourself to Freeze.
Using Bethany or Mafan can give you a shield that will prevent you from Freezing yourself, and let you fire every turn without needing an enemy to break you free. If you are Frozen and not being attacked, remember that Repair and Mantis Attack can break you free. This may be the easiest configuration.
Swap, Swap, SwapSwap Mechs are the thinking man's choice, and require you to very carefully look at maps to see where you can force enemies to attack each other, attack the air, or drop into hazards. Swap benefits from reactor more than most, as mobility and teleport distance are your most powerful asset. Health is least valuable, ignore it when you can. You can Teleporter to an empty square if needed to escape a web, it's a good trick to remember. Mafan has a built in Reactor, as well as a Shield every turn to block spawns. Kazaaakpleth has a 2 damage melee attack that can add some needed oomph to this Squad in a pinch, though it replaces his repair. I did this challenge originally with Chen Rong, as his ability to move a square after Teleporter let me escape some tense situations.
Jet, Jet, NanoJet and Nano Mechs are a dangerous game, but can provide the damage option for those less inclined for Crowd Control. The Nano's A.C.I.D. projector doubles damage on a target, letting the Aerial Bombs hit for 4 Damage a piece. You can also use it to push targets, either Drowning them or prevenitng damage to other targets. You can also use them to push your own units in a pinch, though it's a risky maneuver.
Jets have very long range, being able to strike a square one beyond their movement stat. To use twin Jets, you should get used to crossing over a target with both Jets to wrack up damage on single targets. More often you will be using them to stop enemy attacks. Jet also has the advantage of being a Brute, so it can use any Brute weapons you find without penalty, if you feel the need to replace them.
Kazaaakpleth can add direct damage with Mantis Attack, while Chen Rong can let your Jets reposition to safety after their unconventional attacks.
Both Ice and Swap Mechs mostly cap in power after Island 2, so jump straight into the Final Fight. Jet-Nano can continue to grow in power into Island 3 and 4.
Note: The following Achievements can be unlocked at any time, on any squad. Many of these can be unlocked while you're working on other achievements, so keep them in the back of your mind.

Emerging Technologies
Unlock a new Mech Squad
- Recommended Squad: Rift Walkers
- Helpful Conditions: Easy Difficulty
Easiest to unlock by buying the Rusting Hulks.
Friends In High Places
Spend 50 Reputation across all games
- Recommended Squad: Customize Squad
- Helpful Conditions: N/A
Sell all weapons and pilots at the end of island 1 to buy power grid, then abandon and restart.
Immovable Objects
Block 100 Vek across all games
- Recommended Squad: Frozen Titans
- Helpful Conditions: Hard Difficulty
Hard difficulty spawns more Vek per round. Can use Ice on your own units, or Shields to stop damage from emerging Vek, or repair after they emerge. Less Vek spawn on some Pinnacle maps due to the robot enemies, so try to avoid that island.
Humanity's Savior
Rescue 100,000 civilians across all games
- Recommended Squad: Customize Squad
- Helpful Conditions: N/A
The most civilians are rescued on Hard, but normal has fewer enemy spawns. Islands 2, 3, and 4 get progressively harder but have the same number of civilians to save. Final island has no civilians on it, abandon once you have cleared all islands you plan to. Fastest if you abandon and restart after island 1.
Perfect Strategy
Collect 10 Perfect Island Rewards across all games
- Recommended Squad: Customize Squad
- Helpful Conditions: N/A
Focus entirely on accomplishing the objectives on your first island, and abandon the timeline if you fail one. Be willing to sacrifice your Grid, your Mechs, and your Pilots to achieve victory. Fastest if you abandon and restart after collecting the reward from island 1.
Pilot Challenges
The Rift Walkers are the first Squad you get, and have a lot of tools to make your life easy. Huge Push capabilities, decent starting damage, and high end game damage make for an ideal starter Squad, and a great choice for Hard. You are fairly likely to get all of these achievements in your very first game if you are aware of them.
Field Promotion
Have a Pilot reach maximum level
- Recommended Pilot: Ralph Karlsson
- Recommended Squad: Blitzkrieg
- Helpful Conditions: High HP Enemies, Killing Blows
Enemies give an amount of XP equal to their HP, the Pilot initiating the killing blow gains all the XP for that Enemy. Try to let your chosen Pilot take the killing blow. The Lightning Mech in particular can wrack up loads of kills with chaining attacks, especially on islands with large numbers of 1 and 2 HP enemies.
Best Of The Best
Have three Pilots at maximum level simultaneously
- Recommended Pilot: Ralph Karlsson
- Recommended Squad: Blitzkrieg
- Helpful Conditions: High HP Enemies, Killing Blows
Much like the field Promotion Achievement, but with multiple people. Environmental deaths distribute XP through the entire squad, helping to level those in less combat-aggressive Mechs. When one pilot reaches max level switch them out of the Mech giving the most and let another Pilot reap the rewards. You can start with your Time Traveler maximum level, and place them in a non combat Mech to help focus your XP.
Come Together
Unlock 6 additional Pilots
- Recommended Squad: Any
- Helpful Conditions: Easy Difficulty
Pilots unlocked by simply encountering them within Time Pods, and as a collected reward for Perfect Island secures. You can also obtain new Pilots from the Distant Friends event. You may have a slightly higher chance to obtain a Pilot from a Time Pod if you have an AI running one of your Mechs, but this is unconfirmed.
I'm Getting Too Old For This
Have an individual Pilot fight the Final Battle 3 times across multiple games
- Recommended Pilot: Isaac Jones
- Helpful Conditions: 3 Reward Missions, Time Pods, Perfect Island
Victory in the final battle is not required for this achievement, just combat. This persists through multiple timelines, so if things get dicey and you will lose your chosen pilot, hit Reset Turn (Isaac is Helpful for an extra do-over), or Abandon and try again. Fastest on Easy with just 2 islands.
Distant Friends
Encounter a Familiar Face
See this in-depth guide to this achievement.
Island Challenges
These achievements are all based on a Island, so if you are doing full runs you will have multiple chances to get them, but hey tend to be easiest on Islands 1 or 2. You could theoretically get all 5 achievements on a single Island
Perfect Island
Do not fail any objective on a single Corporate Island
- Recommended Pilot: Isaac Jones
- Helpful Conditions: 3 Reward Missions, Time Pods, Perfect Island
Focus entirely on accomplishing the objectives on your first island, and abandon the timeline if you fail one. Be willing to sacrifice your Grid, your Mechs, and your Pilots to achieve victory.
The Defenders
Finish a Corporate Island without taking Building Damage
- Recommended Mechs: Defender, Ice
- Recommended Pilot: Isaac Jones
- Helpful Conditions: 1 Reward Missions
Focus entirely on defending buildings on the first island, and abandon the timeline if you fail one. Be willing to sacrifice your Objectives, your Mechs, and your Pilots to achieve victory.
Untouchable
Finish a Corporate Island without taking Mech Damage (Repaired damage is still damage)
- Recommended Mechs: Defender, Ice
- Recommended Pilot: Isaac Jones
- Helpful Conditions: 1 Reward Missions
Focus entirely on avoiding damage on the first island, and abandon the timeline if you fail one. Be willing to sacrifice your Objectives, and your Grid to achieve victory.
Backup Batteries
Earn or buy 10 Grid Power on a single Corporate Island
- Recommended Mechs: Flame, Rocket, Gravity
- Helpful Conditions: 2 Power Missions, Multiple Starting Weapons
At the end of every Island, you can turn Reputation directly into Grid Power, so focus on missions with the most rewards. If you don't want to continue, you can sell all of your Pilots and Weapons to buy Grid. This is also a good way to get the Change the Odds Achievement.
Good Samaritans
Earn 9 Reputation from missions on a single Corporate Island
- Recommended Pilot: Isaac Jones
- Helpful Conditions: 3 Reward Missions, Time Pods, Perfect Island
Focus on every Reputation reward you can on the first island. You have four missions that can give up to 2 Reputation each, and a final fight that can give 2 more. You need three 2 Reputation missions, and one 1 Reputation mission in order to succeed. If the island does not have this accessible to you, Abandon and restart.
Challenge Runs
These are all focused on playing around special restrictions on yourself that make the game a bit harder. You should start a run with one or more of these in mind as you play, as they are unlikely to be unlocked while doing other things. Custom Squads are a big asset during some of these challenges. Recommended Mechs are ones that I suggest having one of in your Squad, as opposed to an entire composition.
Sustainable Energy
Finish 3 Corporate Islands without dropping below 4 Grid Power
- Recommended Mechs: Defender, Boulder, Gravity
- Recommended Pilot: Isaac Jones
- Helpful Conditions: 1 Reward Missions, Energy Reward Missions
Focus entirely on defending buildings on the Islands, and abandon the timeline if you drop below 4. Be willing to sacrifice your non-power Objectives, your Mechs, and your Pilots to achieve victory. Final Island is not required for this Achievement.
Engineering Dropout
Finish 3 Corporate Islands without powering a Weapon Modification
- Recommended Mechs: Combat, Laser, Boulder
- Recommended Pilot: Abe Isamu
- Helpful Conditions: Tidal Surge, Cataclysm, Lightning Storm, A.C.I.D. Tanks
Pick Mechs with strong starting Attacks: 2 Damage or higher, can hit multiple targets, or have strong crowd control. You can power HP and Movement systems without failing. You can easily accomplish this at the same time as Trusted Equipment. Final Island is not required for this Achievement.
Chronophobia
Finish 3 Corporate Islands and destroy every Time Pod discovered
- Recommended Mech(s): Laser, Flame, Siege
- Helpful Conditions: Area Attacks
This one is fairly simple, instead of collecting Time Pods, destroy them. You have to hit them with an Attack, or push an enemy on top of them to destroy them. Try to eliminate an enemy in the same Attack. Final Island is not required for this Achievement.
There Is No Try
Finish 3 Corporate Islands without failing an objective
- Recommended Pilot: Isaac Jones
- Helpful Conditions: 3 Reward Missions, Time Pods, Perfect Island
Focus entirely on accomplishing the objectives, and abandon the timeline if you fail one. Be willing to sacrifice your Grid, your Mechs, and your Pilots to achieve victory. Final Island is not required for this Achievement.
Trusted Equipment
Finish 3 Corporate Islands without equipping any new Pilots or weapons
- Recommended Mechs: Combat, Lightning, Boulder
- Recommended Pilot: Abe Isamu
- Helpful Conditions: Tidal Surge, Cataclysm, Lightning Storm, A.C.I.D. Tanks
Pick Mechs with strong starting Attacks: 2 Damage or higher, can hit multiple targets, or have strong crowd control. You cannot swap Pilots, so make sure you choose the correct starting Mech. You can easily accomplish this at the same time as Engineering Dropout. Final Island is not required for this Achievement.
