Hua(?) looks like Fu Hua in her "Phoenix" form, albeit with some little differences here and there. The usual red locks of hair are black, for one. Hua(?) wears a black qipao-like dress with a white fur scarf, black stockings, black knee high socks, multicolored gloves, and silver heels. She also has a golden/black feather hairpin. Hua(?) also wears a golden bracer on her arms, and a long asymmetrical skirt that resembles wilted butterfly wings. It, along with the hairpins, both shimmer and shift like flames. In Hua(?)'s "true" Herrscher form, her hair turns purple with a white streak in it, her pupils turn white, her hair is down and much longer, she wears a golden crown like hair accessory with a red jewel, a black bow, a black traditional Chinese dress with one sleeve, a golden belt, red bands, a white glove, a black fingerless glove, and black and gold heels.

Hua(?), despite looking like Fu Hua, is almost nothing like her. Hua(?) is blunt, prideful, impatient, and reckless. She doesn't hide how she feels about somebody that she doesn't like, even if they're right in front of her. Dark Hua prefers her own fun and enjoyment over self sacrifice, showing that she wasn't willing to share a body with Fu Hua and wanted to wander around instead.

Hua(?) also has a tendency smile maniacally at random instances. Like Sirin, she shares the tendency to call people who disagree with her wrong.

Game Story

Chapter 20

Hua(?) has a brief debut in Act 1 of Chapter 20. It is revealed that Otto Apocalypse, healed Fu Hua's body back to prime condition, like it was before her disciples killed her, with the latest healing tech. She awakes to hear three voices in her head: Id, Superego, and Ego. She remembers some of her past and breaks out of the pod, only to see Otto standing in front of her. After he attempts to talk to her, all 3 voices tell Hua(?) to kill him, which she does, slamming him against the wall and punching his face until he dies. She then wreaks havoc at Schicksal HQ.

Later on, it is revealed that Mount Taixuan was only an illusion. She shows Kiana Kaslana and Bronya Zaychik a way to enter and they see that they are on the hand of a giant Hua(?), as if she was the mountain itself. She casually greets them.

Chapter 21

It is shown later that during the disaster in Schicksal HQ, she's strolling around, invisible to the human eye. Hua(?) sits and watches as the huge commotion goes on. Hua(?) smiles at the sight of her "masterpiece." She had started a huge fire earlier that consumed half of Schicksal HQ. She reflects on her past for a bit and bickers with a voice in her head.

Hua(?) later attempts to sneak past a few security drones, which fails because Fenghuang Down doesn't work on AIs. She beats the mechs and runs ahead, only for her to stop once she heard a familiar voice. It was Otto Apocalypse, and he was alive. She is slightly shocked, though she quickly regains her composure. She noted Otto was a man who didn't die easily and it wasn't too surprising.

Otto mentions that he was alive because he transferred his consciousness to another Soulium avatar. Hua(?), with much enthusiasm, explains how she wants to kill Otto over and over until he actually died. However, Otto stops her. He says that they're even because he killed her and she killed him. Hua(?) attempts to disagree, but is speechless. Finally, she begins to walk away from him, but Otto stops her by asking where she is going. Hua(?) tells him it's none of his business. Otto then suggests that she should visit Kevin Kaslana to find a feather of Fenghuang Down.

Hua(?) flies towards the World Serpent Headquarters while thinking about Otto. She notes that Otto didn't lie about healing her body, but then her thoughts shift to Kevin. She decided she wanted to fight him, reminiscing about their spars during the Previous Era. She wonders who would most likely will win and smiles with excitement, once again.

She arrives at the World Serpent base and wonders to herself how Kevin could stay in such a boring place. Hua(?) is caught by mech guards, but beats all of them. She changes her mind and decides to break into the base rather than sneaking in, which would force Kevin to come meet her. Jackal eventually notices her on the security cameras and thinks that it's one of Otto's tricks.

She changes her mind after Hua yells at the security cameras with the threat to destroy their headquarters. Hua(?) demands that Kevin come and see her. Jackal panics and sends a bunch of mechs, hesitant to disturb Kevin for this kind of matter. She then complains about Jackal broadcasting her own strategies and proceeds to fight the remaining mechs.

Hua(?) eventually runs into a hallway where the door immediately closed behind her. Jackal activates an electromagnetic net, but she flies up and taunts her about it. Jackal angrily activates a feature that sends hot currents into the room and claims that she will be a toasted bird soon. Hua(?), after some thinking, breaks a weak spot of the room and escapes. Jackal is shocked by her power, claiming that she must not be human. Jackal sends out her creation, the Death Web.

The girl defeats it, claiming no sentient being could defeat her. Jackal counters by switching the Death Web to AI overdrive, convinced that she can defeat Hua(?) with her tech that is supposedly two decades ahead of current technology. Hua(?), however, mocks it and says it can't even compare technology in the Previous Era. She eventually defeats the Death Web, which causes Jackal to panic. Jackal plans to send everything she has to stop Hua(?), but Kevin arrives. Hua(?) and Kevin walk out of the World Serpent base, making small talk.

Kevin stops and asks Hua(?) who she is. Hua(?) answers that she is Fu Hua, Kevin's old friend. Kevin objects, saying that Fu Hua never calls him a friend. Hua(?) then explains that she just woke up from being shot in the head by Otto, so she is a bit confused. Kevin says that she doesn't feel like Fu Hua. Hua(?) only explains how she's the "better" Hua. Kevin silently takes out the Judgment of Shamash and Hua(?) excitedly says he read her mind. Kevin points the blade at her and tells her one thing: "Friend or foe, pick your side."

Hua(?) and Kevin eventually stop fighting with no winner. Kevin asks how Hua(?) deflected Judgement Of Shamash, to which Hua(?) replies that she recently made a move called Kei: Sailing Eagle. Hua(?) says that now Kevin knows it's her. Kevin seems to reluctantly give a Fenghuang Down feather, saying that it will help her recover her memories. Hua(?) accepts it with glee, saying that she didn't even ask for the plume and how he knows her so well. Kevin asks Hua(?) to join World Serpent, which she declines. Hua(?) then says farewell to Kevin and gives him a warning to be wary of Otto.

A few hours later, Hua(?) breaks the seal of a feather of Fenghuang Down. She complains about how Kevin didn't take care of the feather at all and feeds it Honkai Energy. Hua(?) tells the Fenghuang Down Shadow to return to her, but the Shadow simply ignores her. The Fenghuang Shadow Feather tells Hua? that when Otto shot Fu Hua, Fu Hua transferred her conscious out of her body using the Zeroth Power of Fenghuang Down. The Shadow then asks Hua(?) who she was.

Hua(?) then flies into the skies and shows illustions to the Shadow of Fenghuang Down. She tells the Shadow that she's going to Mount Taixuan and tries to make small talk. The Shadow then asks Hua(?) if she's really Fu Hua, as they were completely different in personality. Hua(?) tells the Shadow that she's just jealous she isn't the original Fu Hua. She first shows Kevin, who she claims to be pathetic for being unable to move on from Dr. MEI's death, even after 50,000 years. Hua(?) says that the Shadow is similar to him, as they are attached to the past. She then shows Otto, who she compares to Kevin as they both only really cared about a dead woman. Next, she shows Lin Zhaoyu, which Hua(?) asks the Shadow whether the disciple is dead or not. Hua(?) calls her old self "soft-hearted" because she probably didn't kill her disciple herself. Hua(?) insults her disciples, calling them "pricks" while walking to the next illusions: Kiana Kaslana, Raiden Mei, and Bronya Zaychik. Hua(?) asks the Shadow if St. Freya was destroyed and how the girls were doing, to which the Shadow told her that she'll tell Hua(?) later. The Shadow asks another question to Hua(?), why she wanted to go to Mount Taixuan. Hua(?) answers that she must accept her memories and her identity as Fu Hua.

Hua(?) and the Shadow arrive onto Mount Taixuan. Hua(?) collects feathers to regain her memories while complaining about the amount of feathers on the mountain. She absorbs the memory and stares in disgust, commenting it's [[Dr. MEI]]. The Shadow says that it was all probably some unimportant conversations. Hua(?) complains on how humanity lost under Dr. MEI's leadership and how the Seed of Sumeru and the Ark were gone. The Shadow counters by replying that everyone had faith in Dr. MEI's faith and resolve. Hua(?) then says that she isn't following anyone anymore and she will reverse all creations.

They come near a village with many zombies, which the Shadow wants to help. Hua(?) asks why and tells her that MEI's SWARA doesn't tell anyone what to do anymore. The Shadow replies that it's the right thing to do. Which Hua? then decides to save the village. They enter the village to see no one there, until Hua(?) sees a little girl corrupted by Honkai radiation. The girl asks if the two ladies will save them, to which Hua(?) says everything will be alright. Hua(?) notices that the girl is beyond saving and asks what happened in the village. The girl answers that everyone turned pale, went mad, and started to hack each other. Hua(?) tells the girl to wait and says to the Shadow that she will avenge her. The Shadow tells her it's not what the girl needs, but Hua(?) tells her it's the only thing she can do. They agree to look for more survivors.

They later notice a giant monster and kill it. They return to the girl and Hua(?) tells her that she beat the "bad guys." The girl asks Hua(?) if she's the Celestial. The little girl comments on how Hua(?) looks like the giant statue on a cliff. She says that her grandfather told her the Celestial being who protects and saves the people of Mount Taixuan from danger. She claims on how the statue used to be so beautiful and elegant before it was destroyed. Hua(?) "fixes" the statue, but it was just a dream. The Shadow asks if Hua(?) killed the little girl, to which Hua replies that she just gave the girl a good dream and claims it's the best thing she can do. The Shadow then notices that there was a lot of Honkai in the area and says that she once deployed an array of Xuanyuan Swords and Fenghuang Down to protect the mountain. But Hua(?) immediately shuts her up and claims she should've destroyed her a long time ago, but didn't because she respected the Shadow and that the Shadow is taking her kindness for granted.

Hua(?) then asks the Shadow about the former students of St. Freya, to which the Shadow replies that Otto did nothing to them and it was Murata Himeko who managed to awaken Kiana Kaslana within the Herrscher of the Void. Hua(?) asks if Himeko is dead. The Shadow replies that Himeko fell into Imaginary Space and that she hasn't heard from her since. But after talking about Otto, Hua(?) tells the Shadow the story on how she killed him. The Shadow tells Hua(?) that she already told the story many times. Hua(?) then tells the Shadow she should've killed Otto earlier. The two take a walk and purge the Honkai appearing in multiple villages. After killing all of the Honkai beasts, Hua(?) turns towards the Shadow and tells her that she needs to absorb the feather in order to become Fu Hua. Hua(?) then asks her if she's ready.

The Shadow questions this and Hua(?) tells her that she knows it's hard and that the Shadow was a good partner. The Shadow only tells her it's not what she thinks it is and tells her to try absorbing her while the Feather doesn't fight back. Hua(?) tries to absorb the Shadow multiple times, only to fail each time. Hua(?) asks why and the Shadow replies that they are different souls. Hua(?) angrily tells the Feather that she is the past while Hua(?) is the present. She asks the Feather if she believed that she was more authentic and deserved the Fu Hua name even if "[she] was just a feather." The Shadow tells her it's a fact, only to hear Hua(?) tell her that she's delusional and all the other feathers submitted to her. Hua(?) claims that the Feather's "ignorance" was keeping her from reality, that she still lived in the past, and was still haunted by Dr. MEI. Hua(?) tells the Feather for the first time in their lives, they don't have to play MANTIS or Valkyrie anymore, but rather be themselves. Hua(?) creates an illusion of the first time she saved her first friend from Zombies. She tells the Shadow that although she forgot the girl's name, she remembered this memory so vividly because she chose to fight. Hua(?) then tells the Shadow that they are no longer puppets and that they are the masters of their own fates.

Hua(?) then asks if the Shadow still remembers HIMEKO, to which the Shadow answered yes. Then Hua(?) asks the Shadow if she remembered how HIMEKO died, explaining that she turned into a Herrscher at the Oceania branch. Hua(?) says she tried to save HIMEKO. When she found HIMEKO, she only smiled and said hi to her. But then, Dr. MEI gave Kevin the order to kill her. Hua(?) tells the feather that whenever she thought of Kiana Kaslana, the captain would appear in her memories. Hua(?) sighs and says if only Dr. MEI would have listened to her. Since she was only just a soldier, she didn't have her own voice and she could do nothing. The Shadow noticed rage and resentment in Hua(?)'s voice and asks her if she hated Dr. MEI. Hua(?) answers by saying Dr. MEI died a long time ago and that there's no one left from the Previous Era to hate. But Hua(?) says she feels regret about her past the more memories she picks up. Hua(?) questions why she was so obedient, why she left the decisions to others, and why didn't she fight for her own belief. Hua(?) switches the background to the Nine Realms and starts talking about Project EMBER and the twins ♥♥♥♥ and Nuwa. She says she could've forced Nuwa to wait for her return, but she didn't. The Shadow tells her that Chiyou destroyed half of the South Seas and many lives were lost. Hua(?) asks why she would value the lives of strangers over her friends. The Feather answers that it was for the greater good. Hua(?) asks if MEI decided what the greater good was and claims that the greater good didn't really do anything good. Hua(?) says by the time she had arrived, Chiyou was sealed and only a few beasts were alive. The Shadow also claims she regrets that event, which Hua(?) replies by saying that they can relate because they are each other and that looking back, there were many mistakes made.

Hua(?) switches the illusion again to the battle with Schicksal in 1475 at Kipchak Steppe. Hua(?) ignores the crusaders and asks if Ling Shuang. The Shadow answers that it's been 500 years. Hua(?) asks the Shadow if Kevin Kaslana knew about Ling Shuang. The Shadow tells her yes and Hua(?) answers that it's why Kevin is so confident in Project STIGMA. Hua(?) says Chiyou caused nothing compared to Schicksal's crusade. She then asks where is Dr. MEI's "for humanity's wellbeing." The Shadow answers that war is essential for humanity's growth. Hua(?) then says Kallen Kaslana was the culprit for starting everything. She summarizes everything including how Kallen got tips, betrayed the church, and got executed. Hua(?) says Kallen's death is the reason why Otto Apocalypse is alive. She says Otto seized the throne, set Europe ablaze, and ruined Shenzhou. Hua(?) says Otto should take credit for making the Honkai spread faster and for many of her miseries. Hua(?) then says if she had killed Otto and Kallen, things would be much more different. The Shadow only tells her that the present wouldn't necessarily be better. Hua(?) then talks about how Schicksal took the Divine Keys from MOTH and used them to wage war. She complains about the amount of blood shed in Shenzhou and asked why was it allowed to happen. Hua(?) claims the crusaders should've been destroyed and the Divine Keys should've been taken back. She sadistically kills an illusion of Kallen and Otto. The Shadow tells her to stop and asks her if she still doesn't understand. Hua(?) says she understands the power and responsibilities she has and how to make stuff happen. Hua(?) says she will defeat the Honkai without Dr. MEI, Otto, Kevin, or World Serpent. Only for the Shadow to answer that Hua(?) isn't who she thinks she is and that the body she is in doesn't belong to her. The Feather asks Hua(?) why is she able to create such elaborate illusions when Fenghuang Down was broken, only for Hua(?) to answer that Fenghuang Down has become muscle memory. The Feather answers it takes more than just that to create illusions this strong. The Feather answers Hua(?) awakened in a soulless body, crippled Schicksal HQ, and crippled the World Serpent's base. She then says that now matter how hard Hua(?) tried to justify her actions, she had only brought destruction. The Feather finally made the conclusion: it was because Hua(?) was a Herrscher.

Hua(?) after thinking for a long time, finally answers. Hua(?) claims that the Honkai wouldn't tolerate someone like her after slaughtering so many Honkai Beasts. The Feather objects by saying that the Herrschers of the Current Era are different. Hua(?) asks if it matters that she's a Herrscher if she's on humanity's side, only for the Feather to say that her actions count, not her thoughts. The Feather says Hua(?) attacked Schicksal and World Serpent and that Anti Entropy might be next. Hua(?) says she won't attack Anti Entropy, but doesn't trust them. She also notes that Anti Entropy have 3 new Herrschers now: Kiana Kaslana, Bronya Zaychik, and Raiden Mei along with Theresa Apocalypse and Seele Vollerei as ideal Herrscher candidates. Hua(?) says that the Feather has no evidence that Hua(?) could be a Herrscher and that the Feather is also suspicious. Hua(?) tells the Feather that she didn't erase her from existence because she's a friend. But the Feather answers that she was sparred because Hua(?) needed someone to support and appreciate her. Hua(?) yells in frustration and suddenly notices the Helios. Hua(?) starts to ask if it's Bronya and Kiana. The Feather immediately tells her to not get them involved. But Hua(?) claims she only needs a small favor of them: to judge who is the real Fu Hua.

Chapter 22

After the events of Chapter 20, Hua(?) asks Kiana Kaslana and Bronya Zaychik why they took so long. She notices they are silent and asks if they got scared, apologizing in case if she overdid the surprise. Bronya asks who is Hua(?), with Hua(?) commenting in annoyance that everyone couldn't tell that she was Fu Hua even though nothing about her appearance changed. Kiana tells her that she looks like Fu Hua, but acts different. Hua(?) tells Kiana that she isn't used to her new self and tells the Shadow that Bronya and Kiana would like to speak with her. The Shadow gives greetings to Kiana and Bronya as the illusion fades away, but is immediately muted by Hua(?) for "cheating." Hua(?) tells the Shadow to tell Bronya and Kiana who is [she]. The Shadow explains that she is the Fenghuang Down feather that talked to Kiana and Bronya while Hua(?) was the person who got shot by Otto Apocalypse. Hua(?) comments the answer is better and makes the Shadow vanish. Kiana quickly asks Hua(?) what did she do to the Shadow. Hua(?) replies that she's giving the Shadow "a short break." Bronya doesn't believe Hua(?) and asks her three questions: "Why build a simulated Mount Taixuan?", "Why expose [them] to Fu Hua's memories?", and "Why mislead [them] employing Lin Zhaoyu's false image?". Hua(?) answers the three questions by saying that first, Mount Taixuan wasn't fake, she just modified it to fit her illusion. Second, her intention was to let the two know [her] better. Hua(?) mentions how she used to be incredibly reserved and she will show everything she did wrong so Kiana and Bronya can arrive at the correct "verdict." Third, she says that showing herself would "ruin the whole play." Hua(?) mentions how the Shadow is in her head and contains a lot of personality and memories. Hua(?) then explains that she "made good use of her" and explains how she made the Shadow act without realizing. Kiana asks Hua(?) why and Bronya tells Hua(?) that she tricked them. Hua(?) gets very offended and talks about how she went to great lengths to protect them, make them safe, and how she's repaid with harsh accusations. Kiana and Bronya then turn into their Herrscher forms to fight Hua(?). They got very overwhelmed by Hua(?)'s sheer power. Hua(?) makes commentary about Kiana being an incomplete Herrscher and complements her for not falling to the Honkai. Hua(?) then makes some commentary about how Bronya became the Herrscher Of Reason and that Welt Yang shouldn't have passed the core onto her because it only brings misfortune to the wielder. She then complains on how she's so much stronger than the two. While Hua(?) isn't paying attention, the Shadow reveals she's the real Fu Hua, reveals Hua(?) is a Herrscher, and strategizes with Kiana and Bronya. Kiana then stops fighting Hua(?) while Bronya stalls her. Hua(?) gleefully explains how Kiana made the right choice and that she doesn't need two judges. She then puts Bronya in an illusion of Arc City.

Hua(?) easily defeats Bronya in the illusion. She notices that Bronya thought "I hope... it's not too late." before passing out. Hua(?) gets very suspicious and checks if Fu Hua is still in her mind, to which she is present. Hua(?)'s suspicion wears off and then she goes off to Kiana. She thanks Kiana for trusting her and explains how Bronya got tired from using her Herrscher power. Hua(?), then makes Kiana chose between Fu Hua and herself. There are two speech branches for the player when he/she choses Fu Hua or Hua(?). If the player choses Fu Hua, Hua(?) will say ". . .What? You chose her?" with Kiana answering how it's unfair because Kiana doesn't know Hua(?) well enough. If the player choses Hua(?), Hua(?) will exclaim in glee "Haha, I thought so." with Kiana answering the same thing as the first branch dialogue. Hua(?) admits that Kiana has a good point and said she assumed that Kiana would pick Fu Hua because of their long history together. Hua(?) apologizes because she didn't introduce herself properly and that she should at least show the differences between her and the "old timer."

Hua(?) sets up an illusion of the Schicksal HQ during the time where Sirin awoke in Kiana. She explains how the "old her" was corrupted by Otto Apocalypse and committed countless crimes for him. The reason was because she was obsessed with Project EMBER and the fact that Otto saved her once. Hua(?) then questions on the importance of Project EMBER. She calls Project EMBER as "Dr. MEI's hubris." Hua(?) mentions how the life saving could have been handled by herself. Hua(?) tells Fu Hua to correct her if she's wrong and that Kiana can be the judge. Fu Hua tells Hua(?) that there's no point of dwelling in the past, only for Hua(?) to reply that Fu Hua is the past. Hua(?) rants about how her "old self" would do others' bidding for "future", "hope", victory, and other "vacant" words without asking questions. She talks about how always left the thinking to someone like MEI and Otto. Hua(?) concludes that giving up thinking is running away from responsibility, she will never run away again, she never stopped thinking after her revival, and that she would never listen to Otto again. Hua(?) then moves on to Rita Rosweisse and makes fun of her for still sweeping and doing laundry. Hua(?) asks if Rita had a mind of her own or if Otto took away her ability to think. Hua(?) then teleports to the illusion of Rita and starts fighting her, commenting that having mercy on enemies is a cruelty to herself. After defeating Rita, she returns to Kiana and Fu Hua and asks if Kiana understood her difference between Fu Hua.Kiana quickly mentions that Fu Hua stood up against Rita for the rebels, only to be interrupted by Hua(?), who claims that she was being indecisive and that Hua(?) would always have a clear plan before taking action. After hearing Hua(?) speak, Kiana then asks Hua(?) what would she have done to her after she got corrupted by Sirin. After some silence, Hua(?) answers that she would've killed Kiana on the spot. She teleports to the illusion of the Herrscher Of the Void, comments how she would beat Sirin with everything she got, and fights her. In the midst of fighting the Herrscher, Hua(?) tells Kiana that her awakening would fully corrupt her and that having her alive would be risky for humanity's survival. Kiana then asks if Hua(?) believes in defeating Herrschers with love. Hua(?) stays silent until she finishes the fight and answers she doesn't. But, she hesitates a lot while answering and exclaims in frustration that she would've killed Kiana because it was too risky to let her live. Kiana then asks Hua(?) about the aftermath, with Hua(?) answering confidently this time that she would kill Otto Apocalypse. She teleports to the illusion of Otto and insults him, calling him both a scumbag, a clown, and MEI's pawn. Hua(?) complains about letting him play her "like a fiddle" and attempts to make him disappear. Much to her chargin, the illusion of Otto doesn't disappear. Hua(?) angrily remembers that Otto can stimulate Fenghuang Down too because he has Void Archives. Meanwhile, Fu Hua secretly reveals to Kiana that she interfered with the illusion of Otto without Hua(?)'s knowledge.

Hua(?) impatiently asks Kiana if it was enough, only for Kiana to answer that she only saw Hua(?)'s tough side. Hua(?) is confused and Kiana mentions the "everyday Fu Hua." Kiana talks about how Fu Hua helped her during troubling times with a gentle and caring heart despite the fact she lost her body and most of her power. Kiana asks Hua(?) on what would she have done. Hua(?) answers that she would've done the same thing and that it was hard to imagine herself without her body. Fu Hua offers to recreate the scenario. Hua(?) agrees and gives Fu Hua some of her power. Hua(?) asks about the location. Fu Hua answers that it's Heliopolis, the World Serpent's front company, and that Kiana infiltrated it to intercept important intel. Kiana and Hua(?) then start sneaking around the building, only to get caught because Fenghuang Down doesn't work on AI or machines. Hua(?) decides to kill all of the drones and suggests bringing out Jackal because she dealt with her before. After they finish fighting, Kiana tells Hua(?) that Fu Hua was weak at the time. Hua(?) apologizes because "putting on a weak forte wasn't [her] specialty." Kiana asks if Hua(?) can't sympathize with with the weak and helpless. Hua(?) answers that she just doesn't want to be weak. Kiana comments that it's probably the biggest difference between Fu Hua and Hua(?). Hua(?) agrees and mentions that Fu Hua could've been stronger if not for her "weak people mentality." She explains that she would crush anyone in her way and have everything she wants. If things went against her will, she would turn it around. Kiana asks her "So [she]'d use [her] power to the fullest extent just because [she] can?" Kiana then explains how the Fu Hua she knows is a tough fighter with a gentle heart. Hua(?) explains in exasperation that she isn't Fu Hua and that the question she asked was who was the better Fu Hua. Kiana counters her by asking if she meant to say she wasn't Fu Hua. Hua(?) answers that she meant to say she was Fu Hua, only hesitatingly adding that she's both new and different. Hua(?) angrily asks why Kiana is "clinging onto the past" and if she was much better, since the "old Fu Hua" accomplished nothing but mistakes and failures. Hua(?) goes on to say that she killed Otto, defeated Kevin, and never failed. Kiana agrees that she's a stronger and better fighter, but, she isn't the Fu Hua Kiana and Bronya knows. She tells Hua(?) that she probably asked the wrong people because they already made strong bonds with the Fu Hua Hua(?) despised, that they don't care about what kind of person Fu Hua should be, that the despised Fu Hua was the only Fu Hua that they knew and loved, and that the other Fu Hua was their friend. Hua(?) stays silent for a very long time. She finally speaks and asks Kiana "You chose... her? Her? I'm not Fu Hua, she is... That's your answer?" After some silence, Hua(?) yells "You're an idiot!!!"

The illusion dissipates and Hua(?) is so angry to the point where she goes into a name calling fit, calling Kiana "Idiot", "Fool", and "Moron". She was enraged for a while and then asked the question "You made up your mind at the very beginning, right? You never treated my question seriously. It wasn't a choice." When Kiana stays silent, Hua(?) figures out that Fu Hua was helping her the whole time. She angrily gives Fu Hua back to Kiana. But Fu Hua soon realizes that she isn't being given power anymore. Hua(?) answers that she won't share her power anymore and Fu Hua can just go die. She then tells everyone that they could just go die. Kiana tries to feed Fu Hua with Honkai Energy from the Edge Of Taixuan, but fails. Fu Hua tells Kiana that she can't focus on helping her, but rather on other things. Hua(?) agrees, saying that Fenghuang Down isn't something Kiana can meddle with. Kiana says that there is a way: they must take Fu Hua's body back. Fu Hua fearfully replies no because she's too dangerous. Kiana says she doesn't want to lose someone and stay idle. Hua(?) calls her an idiot and complains about how it's like they're in a soap opera. She says that even if they did defeat her, Fu Hua would still die because without her power or inhabiting the body, Fu Hua can't claim the body nor recover. Hua(?) maniacally tells Kiana that Fu Hua is a "goner." Nonetheless, Kiana still choses to fight. Hua(?) creates an illusion and explains that she won't spare them of her wrath or mercy. She then transform into her fully awakened Herrscher form.

Hua(?), now fully transformed as the Herrscher of Sentience, asked Kiana how would she compare her to the likes of Otto Apocalypse, Durandal, or Kevin Kaslana because compared to them, Kiana doesn't stand a chance and she was being a fool for picking a fight with the Herrscher. Kiana uses her "Void Drifter" form to fight the Herrscher, to which she mocks her for being too scared to use her full power despite being called a Herrscher by Kiana. During the battle, she will use tricks such as making clones of herself and forcing Kiana (the player) to choose who is the real one three times. If the player choses the correct clone, the Herrscher of Sentience will reveal herself in surprise. If the player choses the wrong clone, they get attacked by the clone of the Herrscher. After a while, the Herrscher of Sentience tells Kiana that she'll be fair: she will fight against Kiana's guns with a spear to give her some "edge". Kiana tells her that she doesn't need the Herrscher's "edge", with the Herrscher expressing an annoyed "Whatever." After she is found the second time the player finds the correct clone, she will ask Kiana if she apologizes, they can put the problems aside. On the third round of the clone guessing game, the Herrscher of Sentience makes the illusion dark and summons a large group of clones. Fu Hua will help Kiana by making the real clone glow orange. After Kiana defeats the Herrscher of Sentience (gameplay wise), a cutscene will appear. In the cutscene, Kiana punches the Herrscher and escapes being punched by teleporting.

Kiana lands on a tightrope-like chain, while the Herrscher of Sentience on the pommel of a giant stone statue of a sword. She gives Kiana a mocking thumbs-up, which quickly turns into a thumbs-down and taunts her to come at her. A minigame initiates where the Herrscher of Sentience throws incoming "True blade waves" and red swords. Kiana has to avoid the projectiles by "Sprinting" (sliding underneath the True blade waves) and "Deflecting" (hitting the swords back using a Subspace Lance). After the Herrscher sends a barrage of swords and True blade waves, she sarcastically tells Kiana "Not bad." Kiana eventually reaches the Herrscher of Sentience, where they attempt to overwhelm each other with the strength of their fists. The Herrscher sees a weakness and sends a strong punch to Kiana's gut and sends her falling down into the abyss, with the Herrscher chasing after her by teleporting.

Kiana manages to break her fall by teleporting at the last second, only to hear the Herrscher of Sentience mocking her, saying that she's much stronger, is destined to lose, and that Kiana could never beat her. In the Herrscher's "first phase", she says that the world needs both her and her power. After defeating the Herrscher of Sentience in her "first phase", she makes the ground collapse, her hair becomes shorter, and she gains a wing-like cape. While Kiana fights the Herrscher of Sentience in her "second phase", she tells Kiana that she could easily recover any damage from Kiana because she's a MANTIS while Kiana is tiring out. Kiana says that she's right, but that it's not reality, just an illusion created by the Herrscher. The Herrscher of Sentience calls her delusional for thinking that Kiana can beat her in an illusion. When lowered to a specific amount of health, the Herrscher asks Kiana for the reason why she's defending a dying Fu Hua. A cutscene takes place after defeating the Herrscher of Sentience (gameplay), where they trade fists and blades until the Herrscher makes a fissure in the ground, using her claymore.

Shattered Samsara

The Herrscher of Sentience swings her spear towards Kiana's chest, which almost impales her if not for Fu Hua's feather. The Herrscher of Sentience looks up to find Kiana throwing a giant Honkai block at her. It doesn't do much, except greatly frustrating the Herrscher. The Herrscher then goes on a chase in the air with Kiana, now in her Herrscher form, while yelling at her on why she choses to help Fu Hua. The Herrscher then prepares Edge Of Taixuan's Eminence. Kiana panics at first, but then is soon supported by Fu Hua in help with creating her own version of Eminence. The Herrscher of Sentience yells on how it's possible that Fu Hua beat her as her Eminence was overpowered by Kiana's. Fu Hua attempts to seal the Herrscher at the cost of her own life, but is saved by Kiana.

The Aftermath

The Herrscher of Sentience talks to Fu Hua, asking how it was possible she lost. She then asks if she lost because she was a Herrscher. Fu Hua points out that she admitted it, but the Herrscher of Sentience revealed that she knew she was a Herrscher earlier, before she unleashed her full power. She explains how she couldn't face it and since she's the Herrscher Of Sentience, denial was extremely easy for her. She didn't want to be a Herrscher, but she wanted to take out Herrschers despite that. The Herrscher of Sentience then sadly asks Fu Hua that there's no fairness in the world. Fu Hua answers that being born into the world as a Herrscher wasn't her fault and that she never gave into the Honkai. Fu Hua tells her that the Herrscher wasn't evil, nor was she an enforcer of the Honkai.

But she tells the Herrscher Of Sentience that although the body belongs to her, she can't hand it over to her yet because she's still needed and she has unfinished business to take care of. The Herrscher asks Fu Hua if she knew that she's only a shadow of her former self and that her body wouldn't live for long if the Herrscher died. Fu Hua replies that she knows. The Herrscher of Sentience then warns her that the Honkai is watching them and asks if Fu Hua can resist its corruption. Fu Hua answers that she'll try and asks for help from the Herrscher. The Herrscher sharply tells her no and asks if her brain was broken, only to remind her that she doesn't have a brain right now.

She tells Fu Hua that she lost, she's a mistake, and Fu Hua will never see her again. Fu Hua asks her on where she's going, to which the Herrscher replies that it's none of her business and she'll go where she wants. Fu Hua thanks her, but the Herrscher interrupts, saying to not flatter herself, that there's nothing between them anymore, and tells her goodbye. Fu Hua quickly interjects, saying that the Herrscher would be even more susceptible to Honkai corruption. The Herrscher answers that she'll fight it to her last breath and she knows that someone stronger will challenge her in case she ever lost. The Herrscher of Sentience bids farewell and leaves the body.

Hua(?) spits on Otto Apocalypse as a "parting gift" in the Chinese version of Chapter 21 Act 1.

Hua(?) when compared to Fu Hua, has a hatred of Dr. MEI rather than a simple grudge.

In the Chinese version of Chapter 22 Act 2, Hua(?) tells Kiana Kaslana that she will be fair by also using a gun. Kiana tells her that she's using a spear, only to see Hua(?) sighing in annoyance, claiming it was the same thing. This was a Chinese exclusive joke because in Chinese, gun and spear have the same pronunciation and character (枪). In the global version, this joke was removed due to the difficulty of localizing it. Hua(?) visits Seele Vollerei's mental space as a prank because Bronya Zaychik invited her over. Veliona and Hua(?) talked about how everyone seemed to have alter egos nowadays.

Hua(?) appears in Fu Hua's 2021 Birthday CG as a storyteller. She changes the story of Phoenix a bit by portraying Dr. MEI as a celestial, making Fu Hua an idol like character who was constantly asked for autographs, and overexaggerates Hua's rage during her grief of the death of ♥♥♥♥ and Nuwa by making her burn a mountain.

Hua(?) appears in the Chinese New Year event, Once Upon A Time in Shenzhou, as the antagonist. She has a pet bird nicknamed "Chic Phoenix." In this event, Hua(?) is called Phoenix(?) and is a feather left by Fu Hua.

Hua(?)'s battlesuit, Herrscher of Sentience, is known for dealing absurd amounts of damage despite being a support. This made many players of the Honkai Impact 3rd community nickname her as the "Herrscher of Support" because her form of supporting the team involves killing everything in sight.

The record of the highest damage Herrscher of Sentience dealt was 10 million.

Herrscher of Sentience is the first battlesuit to ever have bridge lines and weapon descriptions that mentioned Kevin Kaslana. Herrscher of Sentience mentioned Kevin's promise of defeating the Honkai to SAKURA and called it a "useless thing."
