Introduction

There are total of 34 spells, divided into 7 types.

Below are the types of spells.

Essential Spells

Icon Spell Cooldown How to Unlock Description Upgrades (Unlock Level) Basic Cast Instant Default Basic attack for attacking enemies or breaking obstacles. Casts reduce cooldowns of other spells. (5)

Airborne impacts contribute to Ancient Magic meter. (16)

Revelio Instant Main Quest - The Path to Hogwarts: Automatically obtained after reaching vault 12 and following the spell chant.

Highlights a variety of useful and interactive targets in the world, including hidden objects, puzzle items, loot, enemies, and more. Increases the range of Revelio. (16)

Protego Instant Main Quest - The Path to Hogwarts: Learned after your combat with the statues in vault 12.

Creates a shield that deflects incoming spells and attacks. Cannot deflects attacks with red warnings. Successful Protego blocks will contribute to the Ancient Magic Meter and Perfect Protego blocks will contribute even more. (5)

Perfect Protego will send two projectiles back at enemies. (16)

Perfect Protego will release a damaging blast that breaks enemy shields. (22)

Stupefy Instant Main Quest - The Path to Hogwarts: Learned after the second battle in vault 12.

Stuns a target, leaving them unconscious. Cannot stun certain large enemies. Stupefy has the same effect as a curse on enemies. (5)

Enemies struck with Stupefy remain stunned for a longer period of time. (16)

Stupefy deals direct damage on impact. (22)

Ancient Magic Throw Instant Main Quest - Welcome to Hogsmeade: Unlocked during the battle with the Troll in Hogsmeade. Summons and throws special environmental objects at the targeted enemy. Particularly useful for breaking through Shield Charms. Can be used to dodge attacks while throwing. Catches and throws disarmed enemy weapons. (5)

Ancient Magic When Meter is Filled Main Quest - Welcome to Hogsmeade: Unlocked during the battle with the Troll in Hogsmeade, Deals powerful attacks to a enemy. Breaks shield and often incapacitates enemies. N/A Alohomora Instant Main Quest - The Caretaker's Lunar Lament: Learned from Gladwin Moon. Used to open up locks. Upgrade to Alohomora II after collecting 9 demiguises.

Upgrade to Alohomora III after collecting 9 + 13 = 22 demiguises.

Petrificus Totalus Instant Main Quest - Percival Rackham's Trial Powerful enough to bind most enemies permanently, but more dangerous foes will only take some damage and then quickly break free from the effect. Emanates an area of effect that can impact nearby enemies. (22)

Control Spells

Icon Spell Cooldown How to Unlock Description Upgrades (Unlock Level) Arresto Momentum 15 seconds Assignment Side Quest - Madam Kogawa’s Assignment 2 Slows both object and enemies, giving you extra time to plan your next move. Arresto Momentum has the same effect as a curse on enemies. Cursed enemies take increased damage. (16)

Glacius 10 seconds Assignment Side Quest - Madam Kogawa’s Assignment 1 Freezes enemies, increases damage of subsequent attacks. Striking an enemy frozen by Glacius blasts damaging shards outward from the target. (16)

Levioso 8 seconds Main Quest - Defence Against the Dark Arts Class Levitates objects and enemies, Useful for solving puzzles and suprising enemies alike. Enemies near a target levitated by Levioso are also levitated. (5)

Transformation 20 seconds Assignment Side Quest - Professor Weasley's Assignment Transforms objects and enemies into alternate forms, whether puzzle solutions or harmless knickknacks. Enemies struck with the Transformation spell transform into explosive objects. (22)

Force Spells

Icon Spell Cooldown How to Unlock Description Upgrades (Unlock Level) Accio 8 seconds Main Quest - Charms Class Summon a variety of objects and enemies to close range. Enemies near a target summoned by Accio are also pulled to you. (5)

Depulso 10 seconds Assignment Side Quest - Professor Sharp’s Assignment 1 Repels many types of objects and enemies with considerable force. Casting Depulso releases an additional blast directly around you. (5)

Descendo 10 seconds Assignment Side Quest - Professor Onai’s Assignment Deals no direct damage, but objects and enemies that are slammed to the ground will suffer considerable impact damage. Airborne enemies will take even greater damage upon hitting the ground. A Descendo slam creates a damaging shockwave around your target. (16)

Flipendo 5 seconds Assignment Side Quest - Professor Garlick’s Assignment 2 Flips objects and enemies upwards and backwards. Flipendo has the same effect as a curse on enemies. Cursed enemies take increased damage. (5)

Damage Spells

Icon Spell Cooldown How to Unlock Description Upgrades (Unlock Level) Confringo 10 seconds Main Quest - In the Shadow of the Undercroft A long-range bolt that deals damage on impact, and set enemies on fire. Confringo impacts produce fiery bolts that seek enemy targets. (5)

Diffindo 15 seconds Assignment Side Quest - Professor Sharp’s Assignment 2 Slashes objects and enemies from afar dealing considerable damage. Diffindo casts slice through impacted enemies to strike additional targets. (5)

Expelliarmus 10 seconds Assignment Side Quest - Professor Hecat’s Assignment 2 Disarms wands and weapons from most enemies who wield them. Also deals damage to all enemies, even if they do not carry a weapon. Expelliarmus has the same effect as a curse on enemies. Cursed enemies take increased damage. (5)

Bombarda 15 seconds Assignment Side Quest - Professor Howin's Assignment Deals heavy damage on impact, accompanied by an explosion that can destroy heavy objects and hit surrounding enemies. Bombarda causes an explosive blast with a massive area of effect. (16)

Incendio 8 seconds Assignment Side Quest - Professor Hecat’s Assignment 1 Deals significant damage and lights certain objects on fire, but its range is short and requires you to be close to the target. Casting Incendio unleases a ring of flame around you. (5)

Icon Spell Cooldown How to Unlock Description Upgrades (Unlock Level) Disillusionment Instant Main Quest - Secrets of the Restricted Section Causes you to blend into your surroundings, making it difficult for others to perceive you. Can sprint during Disillusionment. (5)

Lumos Instant Main Quest - The Path to Hogwarts Allows you to see in dark areas or solve puzzles that require extra light. N/A Reparo Instant Assignment Side Quest - Professor Ronen’s Assignment Allows you to quickly return certain damaged objects to their former states. N/A Wingardium Leviosa Instant Assignment Side Quest - Professor Garlick’s Assignment 1 Levitates and controls a movable object. N/A Beast Petting Brush Instant Main Quest - Beasts Class A brush that can be used to groom beasts. N/A Beast Feed Instant Main Quest - Beasts Class Food to feed beasts. N/A Nab-Sack Instant Main Quest - The Elf, the Nab-Sack, and the Loom A charmed bag that can be used to rescue and hold beasts N/A

Icon Spell Cooldown How to Unlock Description Upgrades (Unlock Level) Conjuring Spell Instant Main Quest - The Room of Requirement Conjures items into existence when cast within the Room of Requirement. N/A Altering Spell Instant Main Quest - The Room of Requirement Alter the physical forms and features of items when cast within the Room of Requirement. N/A Evanesco Instant Main Quest - The Room of Requirement Vanishes items and returns moonstone when cast within the Room of Requirement. N/A

Unforgivable Curses

Icon Spell Cooldown How to Unlock Description Upgrades (Unlock Level) Avada Kedavra 90 seconds Companion Quest - Sebastian Sallow's In the Shadow of the Relic Kills enemies instantly. Killing an enemy with Avada Kedavra kills all cursed enemies. (22)

Crucio 20 seconds Companion Quest - Sebastian Sallow's In the Shadow of the Study Causes most enemies to writhe in pain as they take damage over time. Also curses the victim - and cursed enemies take extra damage. Striking an enemy cursed by Crucio releases a projectile that curses a nearby enemy. (16)

Imperio 30 seconds Companion Quest - Sebastian Sallow's In the Shadow of Time Temporarily forces enemies to fight as if they were your companion. While under your control, they take reduced damage from other enemies to prolong their allegiance to you. Also curses the victim - and cursed enemies take extra damage. An enemy under your control with Imperio curses other targets with each successful strike. (16)
