Seedmaking Guide

Seedmaking Guide

Introduction

I was sick of getting the exact same worlds over and over again when I was making my worldseeds, so I made a spreadsheet and looked at specifically what was making these seeds identical.

What I learned was:

There are only 6 biomes.

These are the same as the 6 themes for town decorations.

There are 24 essences, and 6 "perfect" world recipes (the ideal ratio to create each of the biomes).

No matter what combinations you make, aside from "strange" world seeds, you will always get one of the six main biomes.

The 6 Perfect World Seeds

16 Comforting, 12 Lush, 11 Tranquil, 11 Abundant

15 Squishy, 15 Spongy, 10 Smelly, 10 Sticky

15 Parched, 10 Dry, 15 Warm, 10 Prickly

25 Dreamy, 5 Cute, 15 Lively, 5 Playful

10 Watery, 25 Icy, 10 Sparkly, 5 Bitter

10 Mysterious, 5 Tasty, 15 Soft, 20 Mashy.

The 6 possible biomes are:

Frozen - Watery, Icy, Sparkly, Bitter

Desert - Parched, Dry, Warm, Prickly

Princess - Dreamy, Cute, Lively, Playful

Fungus - Mysterious, Tasty, Soft, Mushy

Gross (I call this 'eyes') - Squishy, Spongy, Smelly, Sticky

Natural (your starting world) - Comforting, Lush, Tranquil, Abundant

Frozen

Frozen biomes have ever-falling snow, twisty rock peak structures, and crystal trees. They often have shrubs that look like Christmas trees or twisty candy. Pastel colors and pearlescent shades are found here.

You can tell your world will be a Frozen world because its egg will be pale, translucent, and resemble a crystal.

Extras on Frozen Worlds

Snowmen rocks

Ice cream carts

Open wardrobes (Narnia reference)

Christmas trees

Scoops of ice cream

Desert

Desert worlds grow plants that resemble cacti and desert flowers. They also tend to have very bare geometric rocks.

Extras on Desert Worlds

Sandcastles

Beach umbrellas

Beach towels

Smashable desert pots

Princess

Princess worlds are obvious from their castle tower rock formations and tiaras sticking up out of the ground. Everything here glitters. The boulders are often shaped like crowns. The trees and shrubs are opalescent and shaped like stars, hearts, and unicorn horns.

Princess eggs are such a bright pastel that in your inventory they practically look white.

Extras on Princess worlds

Giant pinwheels

Tiaras

Glass slippers

Fungus

Mushroom worlds are obvious from their dark, iridescent ground. The shrubs and trees that grow on these worlds are mushroom-shaped with brightly-colored tops.

It's easy to tell if your egg will be a fungus world because it will be extremely dark. They are the only eggs this dark.

Gross

I call this the Eyes biome because everything here has eyes on it... the ground, the boulders, the shrubs, the trees. it's covered in eyeballs that blink and watch you. Some of the trees and shrubs also have teeth, long tongues, or feet. The colors are always garish, flourescent shades.

You can tell your world will be a Gross world because of the garishly bright colors.

Extras on Gross worlds

Pineapple pizza

Twisty rock formations

Eyeballs on everything

Natural

Natural worlds are... fairly normal worlds. Their shrubs look like leafy bushes and their trees look like Dr. Seuss' version of leafy trees. The first world seed that you create will always be a Natural world.

Extras on Natural worlds

Unknown... these worlds are so boring I avoid making them
