The Fortnite 8-Ball vs. Scratch challenges released on January 15, 2020. If you need help with any of these challenges, our guide has you covered. You’ll be able to find things like the No Swimming sign locations, the hidden gnome location, mountain base camp locations, and more.

Where To Dance At Rainbow Rentals, Beach Bus, And Lake Canoe

One of the early Fortnite 8-Ball vs. Scratch challenges will task players with dancing at three different locations. Thankfully, the challenges itself is pretty simple, but finding the Rainbow Rentals, Beach Bus, and Lake Canoe locations might prove to be a little bit tricky.

If you’re having trouble tracking down any of these different locations, don’t worry, we are here to help. Unfortunately, these locations are a bit spread out, so it may prove tricky to visit all three in one game, but it’s definitely possible.

Players will be able to find the Rainbow Rentals location southwest of Holly Hodges (red). Further, they can find the Beach Bus location west of Steamy Stacks (purple) and Lake Canoe north of Retail Row (yellow).

As you visit each of these locations, simply bust your favorite dance move while you’re there. Once you’ve done that at all three of these places, you’ll complete this challenge.

Where To Swim At No Swimming Signs

“No Swimming” signs are scattered about all over the Fortnite map, but for this challenge, players will only need to visit two of them. Unfortunately, they are a bit spread out, so this challenge could prove to be tough to complete in one match.

However, as you can see in the map above, there are two No Swimming signs located right next to each other. It's currently unclear if both of these signs will count as individual locations or if they'll be grouped together — but it's worth checking out if you're in that area.

Once you've tracked down the No Swimming signs in Fortnite, simply hop in the water for a quick swim to complete this challenge.

Search The Hidden Gnome Location

If you're trying to track down the hidden gnome in the 8-Ball vs. Scratch challenges, then you're probably scratching your head trying to figure out where the hidden location between Fancy View, a wooden shack, and a big house is located.

Unfortunately, it's not immediately obvious where you should be looking for the gnome, but we've tracked down its exact location. As you can see on the map above, you'll find the hidden gnome in Fortnite along the western side of the map.

More specifically, you'll find the hidden gnome southwest of Sweaty Sands, close to the edge of the beach. As you get close, you'll find it resting in a patch of yellow flowers.

Where To Bounce On Bouncy Objects

This challenge is pretty simple, and likely won’t require a big explanation. However, just in case anyone was confused, we wanted to offer a quick tip to help complete this challenge. Essentially, you need to find some type of bouncy surface to bounce around.

Thankfully, there are a bunch of locations to bounce at in Fortnite along the Sweaty Sands beaches. Simply look for an umbrella or lounge chair and you’ll begin bouncing.

Of course, there are tons of other bouncy items spread out across Fortnite, so you don’t have to visit this specific area. Once you’ve done this in three different matches, you’ll sink this challenge in the pocket (get it?).

Where To Find Fortnite Mountain Base Camp Locations

Over the past few seasons of Fortnite, players have been asked to visit loads of different locations. This time around, players will need to track down three different Fortnite Mountain Base Camps.

The bad news is that all the camp locations can be tough to find on your own. The good news is that once you’ve found them, they are really close together. The even better news is that we have found them all for you!

As you can see on the map above, you’ll find the Fortnite Mountain Base Camp locations in the southeast region of the map, beginning at Misty Meadows and extending up towards Retail Row.

As you near these three locations, you’ll be looking for small tents and a few boxes set up - it’s nothing fancy and could be easy to miss. For this challenge, you’ll simply need to step into the camping area and you’ll be credited for a visit.

Head to all three Fortnite Mountain Base camp locations and you’ll be good to go for this challenge.
