Introduction
Hellooooo~, reader!
I am Mr.Randem, and this is one of many guides for this wonderful game penned by moi-- This one focusing on the collectible battle assist items known as Bytes.
Purchased from Lolbits dotted all over the game map, these blatent Funtime Foxy ripoffs helpful denizens of FNAF World sell these items to help your progression along the way!
And I will show you what they do, where to look for them, and how/when to best use them.
Remember, you can only equip 4 at a time -- Customization and utility here is key, so knowing this can mean the difference being victory and getting rekt failure.
So let's jump right in!
...Oh, and also since two of these Bytes are a secret achievement, this guide will have them unmarked and you put yourself at risk if you want to discover them for yourself.
So, obligatory Spoilers warning.
Hornet Bytes [ Attack Byte ]
The first store you come across will be right infront of you after your first conversation with Fredbear in the clearing.
These Hornet/Bee Bytes are the first bytes you're likely to want starting out, as they provide passive damage independant of your party -- Helping clear pesky encounters and prevent the rough patch of your first recruiting fights where all you need is just a little more damage to execute the enemy with the Waterhose skill.
You're going to making the most of one, if not all three of them for the first few sections up till Jump 4 -- since DeeDee's Pearl game will help you rack up the tokens to purchase them and all other Bytes easily if you're consistant enough. They're great damage supplements to have, and can make exploration of the Mysterious Caves and first recruitings of party members that use Instant Death attacks easier, as well as beating bosses.
Medkit Bytes [ Support Byte ]
The next bytes are located over near the lumber yard to the right, in the direction to the beginning of Lilygear Lake , inbetween Jump 1 and Jump 4.
These Bytes will constantly heal you during combat, and are a major boon to take -- As these heals cannot be prevented by the enemy, meaning you and get your health topped off while you keep swinging for the fences!
It's definitely reccomended that you at least buy the Mega-Med -- because those 500 tokens will easily be earned back in the cave and pay for itself in no time. You'll have it in your line-up for all of the game until you gain a certain Byte/Chip -- but until then, ALL ABOARD REGEN AIRLINES!
Reaper Bytes [ Support Byte ]
The next Bytes can be found and bought from the Lolbit in the Dusting Fields, as (She/he/It?) is right on the path in full view
So, you know how the instant death skills are cool and all, but will only work 30%~50% of the time, and basically soak up a round of attacking really difficult enemies you need to kill quickly, especially on Hard Mode, and even more so with a Fixed Party? Yeah, you know. Well, buy this -- It's an extremely helpful boon, and I'll explain why.
Ontop of being a instant-kill should it succeed on enemies, just as the Unscrew/EscKey skills, this Byte can instant kill animatronics you encounter -- just like the EscKey/Unscrew skills -- but to what I suspect is a higher chance, and without you having to cast it.
So by virtue of being alive and surviving hard-to-fight enemies, this baby can do all the work for you! Granted, it still can't instakill bosses, but it can make exploration into the one area you're nto sure your party can stand yet possible -- It especially pays itself back very well in the caves when fighting for new recruits and Goldmines -- can't get one shot by the instant-death skill if this guy kills them as the fight start, eh? Eh, you get it.
UFO Bytes [ Attack Byte ]
Toss That Garbage Out The Motherf*cking Window, Because It's Time To Recognize The Second Coming Of The Definition Of The Word "Beatstick".
This set of Bytes can be accessed as early as Jump 4, or as late as Jump 6 -- but no matter which way you choose to get to it, you'll find this type in the Pinwheel Circus.
Now, if you want the early access, you'll need to take an out of the way water path found to the right of Lilygear Lake's main area, and enter the warp portal at the L shaped curve, and the destination will be found north, in the yellow circus tent.
If you go for the late access, the sub-tunnel linear routing from Jump 5's Sub-Tunnel sequence will drop you off inside at the circus as per the standard progression -- Make that button an innie and step on over to claim the prize.
Now, remember how in Jump 1 of Fazbear Hills, you got the Hornets that deals a good chunk of damage? Yeah, you remember, yeah?
You want damage? The UFOs got it.
You want speed? Got that too.
You want to rain death from above as a roving conquerer?
Then buy any one of these, and that sole purchased byte will out DPS the performance
of ALL THREE HORNETS AT ONCE. Yeah, even the lowest purchase. They're that good.
Seriously, buy this Byte already, use a debuff roster, and watch it melt through every boss on its own from all areas prior on its own. Set it and forget it -- 'Nuff said, folks.
AllBlock Bytes [ Defense Byte ]
Next on the block is another mainstay for a different reason -- The Allblock Bytes.
One of two bytes located not on the overworld, you'll find this vendor on a sidepath in the Nothern Chippy's Woods area Mysterlous Cave, only accessible from pathing Lilygear Lake.
Now see, these pups do something ever much needed at this point -- They block damage. And what's more it blocks base damage.
What that means is that by choosing to use this, you're denying the point value of damage displayed on the bit -- as much as up to 80 points, should you choose to use all 3 at once.
Meaning, it scales with the 50% protection of Neon Wall, and the base defense upgrades from Mendo's Endoskeletion Extortium Metals Emporium, and the buff increase of Armor Song's effect on your party's defense and your enemies' offensive from Gloom in combat -- I'm talking about the power of rendering yourself virtually immune here, peeps.
Now I won't tease you by the cockles of your heart -- it won't make you 100% immune, but damn near close to it from enemies who can't hit you with hard-hitting spells coded to drop you low like Snowball, especially in Hard Mode where they swing for the 4th Wall. Which up to a point, is almost everything not using Esc Key/Unscrew/Jumpscare.
But it *will* provide much needed survivability for the arduous challenges to come, so least we're not 0/2, eh?
Bomb Byte [ Support Byte ]
Next up for purchase, the Bomb Bytes. You'll find the vendor for these in the graveyard on the right in the Blacktomb Yard, chillin'.
Now, i'll be frank with you -- I have only used this byteset once -- and it's because it suck(ed).
It's meant to deal a large amount of damage once in combat and that's it -- Which is lame since we now tote an XFO raining death, a Reaper that's swinging for the air like Chara for Sans's soul, and a literal Healbot for healing what our Allblock didn't block.
I mean, in thoery, it's a good bit -- sure. But, I don't see it, and wouldn't waste my token for it. It's better spent elsewhere -- Like on the next item in the lineup.
Boss Drain Byte [ Attack Byte ]
Last on the cutting Fazbear floor, is these wonderful things: The Boss Drain Byte.
The second fo the "hidden" Lolbits types, you'll find this one inside of the Deepmetal Mine, around a corner u-Bend. And of course, if you find it hard to... well, find; Fear not, as it's marked on this 'chere map below.
So, at this point you should be decently strong -- Have a couple or 7 of midtier characters under your team belt, maybe some Nightmare set, maybe even lucky enough for Ms. Godsend Funtime Foxy.
But those bosses still don't die fast enough! What's a gamer to do, huh? Well, buy this bit to solve that problem, and worry no more!
Basically, this is the same concept as the Reaper Bytes, but for bosses -- Instead of you hitting them and killing them automatically, they do, natch.
But ha-ha! There's a catch: They can't auto-death 0 to 100 real quick, or else they'd be on some real shiznit. No, they'll take time -- Approximately by sight comparison, the same steady stream of damage from the Byte tiers from both one Hornet and UFO of the same price tier in about 5 seconds. ( Don't think about it too hard, just trust my abstract math. )
So basically, the lowest one is the weakest, and the highest the stronger -- not too bad, right? Well, remember -- It's only for bosses So you can't gain the benefit from it on normal mob troops.
Buuuuuuuuuut , you can use it in conjunction to all other bytes -- So you can burn 'em with the BoomBoom, and PewPew, and 'le FzzFzz, to rush a hard boss battle you're struggling with in your favor.
It'sa bit...pricy. Sure, sure, alot pricy. But it's wooooooooorth eeeeeeeeeeeeet~ <3
The Secret Bytes [ Attack / Support Bytes ]
So that's it!
That's the end of my guide!
Now... how should I put this...
Oh, I know!
Yeah, move it along folks. Nothing more to see here. Go read another guide, preferably another of mine.
That's all I wrote here.
Yeah, see you're smarter than that. You're not like those people who read the above and clicked out.
See, I like your type. So guess what?
But first, we must go deeper from prying eyes.
...
Okay.
So, remember when I told you about the first Bytes -- The hornets, yeah? And that pearl mini-game, where you could rack up the big early toke, savvy? You played the ♥♥♥♥ out of that, didn't you?
...
No no, don't feign -- *Yes, you did.*
It was like an affair -- Fun and addictive. But just like an STD from said affair, you probably got one of these these floatin' about your head now:
Well, that's not no glitched up thingamabob. That right there's The Pearl.
See, it's a reward of DeeDee's sending, and your acceptance. Just catch the watery goods to the tune of five times, and you're in like Flynn, yes?
Never turns off, functions like a 3rd Tier (That's the expensive one) Med Byte. Now how's dem apples eh? Eh?
Not enough? Oh c'mon -- I can't give you everything can... Wait, wait! Don't click that X and back button!
All right, damn. Just joshin' youse. Can't a man have fun? No? Fine. One more gift for the road then -- But don't expect this one to come quickly, you need to work at it.
May I present.... The Fan:
And yeah, just like The Pearl, The Fan is equally busted. How? Laz0rs.
Endo Army Lasers, folk. Talking about hitting random 1000+ damage for free! Can't get no more busted than this if you tri-- okay, well you can get more busted than that -- But not more busted among the Bytes!
Just... one problem.
You need one of these:
Yes, you need everyone you can possibly find to unlock the fan-- And believe you me: that is and will be a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo -gasp- OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoong time.
But it's worth it, and both bytes bestow a trophy for having done the deed of getting them:
So, that's really it. That's everything. Really. No more past here.
I kept my end. Rate well or hate me, I don't care -- I armed you with knowledge, so walk with wisdom, friends.
Later days.
