How To Unlock Bard & Performance Mode

Firstly, teleport to New Gridania, and get the archer class.

Level it up to 30, and complete your job quests in order to get access to Bard.

Once Bard is unlocked, you can access a variety of instruments by opening the Actions & Traits menu with the P key and selecting the Performance tab.

How To Read This Guide

The options for Performance Mode are unfortunately very limited, unlike with most Virtual Piano esque software, you cannot map sharp/flat keys to Shift+[Key]. You can open up three octaves, however it's a pain in the ass to map things flexibly. In addition, chords are not possible. That fact sucks major ass.

As a result, this guide has been designed with the default performance keybinds in mind.

Due to most songs in this guide requiring use of two keys at the same time, notation for specific keys can be found here:

° = CTRL + the key it's next to. For example, °u = CTRL + U.

^ = Shift + the key it's next to. For example. ^e = Shift + E.

() = Optional keys. These are for flourishes or very fast segments that aren't completely integral to a song.

Songs will be grouped into artists/sources, then chronological release order.

This guide will be updated periodically, so check back every now and then if you like it.
