Required DLC And Mods
To work this guide following has to be installed :
Straw Harvest Pack[www.farming-simulator.com]
Cut Open Bales - can be downloaded from the mod hub
Required Machinery And Consumables
Of course to produce pellets first of all we need a pellet machine which comes with the Straw Harvest Pack
This is a pretty expensive equipment, so make sure that you are don't need some other, with a higher priority, machinery
Next one on the list is the tractor. Generally with the pack is foreseen a special attachment, to this machinery called Bale Shredder which is crushing the bales and sending the straw directly to the Premos 5000. If we were about to use this setup, almost every medium tractor might do the job.
But in our case Premos 5000 will be on the move, so prepare to use a big and powerful tractor, because a lot of horsepower will be required, cause the machine is heavy enough and also will be operating.
For the normal operation of the Premos 5000, machine should be filled with molasses and water. Since this guide will help us to make quickly huge amount of pellets, make sure you have enough on stock nearby. Molasses are on pallets so you can easily bring and store quite a big amount
The Premos 5000 can be filled with water directly from a river or a lake. To do so approach the river bank and start to refill. Make sure that the slope is not too steep, or you might have a problem getting back to the road
In case the water does not start to fill, you can move the machine slightly back into the water, SLIGHTLY
Again, for the sake of the time frame, I highly recommend a water tank trailer located close to where the straw will be transformed into pellets. Depending on your budget, you can choose one of the two cheapest trailers

General Location Overview
With the Straw Harvest Pack, we have a very useful building Pallet & Bale Warehouse
It is another investment that has to be done, but as I said is very useful, because we can store inside all the types of bales and use them when we needed. To be honest, there is a way this investment to be avoided, but it will takes a lot of space to organize different types of bales and also a lot of time to move them around, while processing them.
So we are looking at the scenario with the Warehouse. Put it in relatively big open area, preferable flat, without any ground obstacles, such as trees, tree stumps, rocks etc.
It is entirely up to your own farm management situation, but the general rule "The more space, the faster, the easier, the better" is valid at 100%
Later on in the guide the above-mentioned will become pretty obvious
The Idea
The idea of this guide consists of the following steps:
Bring on an open space a big amount of bales
Cut them open to form a massive pile of a raw material
Run through several times with the Premos 5000
Make a pile from the new formed pellets
After having enough amount of pellets, load on a trailer and sell
This Is The Way
The moment all the requirements are met, our Idea is clear, we can start
And this is the Way...
Bring out maximum number bales out from the warehouse, in our case is 25
The bales will be nicely aligned ready to be moved
There are few ways to move the bales here and there, like tractor with from loader attachment, telehandler with bale spikes, even a forklift might do the job. What I found maximum efficient is to use a wheel loader with B50 AR-05 attached
B50 AR-03 which is the smaller version can be used with a tractor, but I never tried it to move such amount of bales
So here will be used B50 AR-05 and normal way is to go and grab as much as possible and to move on
until the drop off zone is reached
But in terms of time frame, it will slow us down. And now comes the question we have to ask ourselves, when choosing the place for the warehouse and the area around it, why should it be flat and without obstacles
Instead of moving bales in groups of several, we can position the wheel loader on the opposite side of our desired direction, lower the B50 AR-05 down, and slowly begin moving the entire stack.
Because of its size also we can even navigate it without to bothers that it might collapse
When we get to the work area, just scatter the bales around
Now it is time to use the Cut Open Bales mod
Approach the bales and you will see that usually with "C" you can open a bale,
releasing all the compressed material in a relatively large pile
Now continue to do so with all of the bales that are present, don't worry that some of them will disappear underneath, they will pop up again
Now jump in the tractor, that you have chosen for the task, turn on the Premos 5000 and start to pass through the peripheral of the pile
You will quickly realize that thе basket of the Premos 5000 will be full with pellets in less than a minute, so you have to organize a spot where to temporary unload it. For convenience of further loading onto a trailer, make sure that you leave enough space for maneuvering
Just as an option I am sharing what I am doing in my farm, since I have already the monster bucket for the Volvo, coming with the platinum edition, to reduce overall operation time, by skipping one unloading and loading step
When you have enough pellets prepared, or you ran out of bales in the warehouse you can proceed to the loading (in case you are ready to sell). Keep in mind that the prices are the highest around January. Again depends on what we have there are few ways for the loading
The cheapest way to do it is with a tractor (medium would be fine) with front loader attachment and a bucket. Keep in mind that this will takes a while because the capacity of the bucket is relatively small
As already mentioned I am using the wheel loader with the biggest bucket, but as an alternative option a front loader can be used, or smaller wheel loader (will be better than the tractor option, but more expensive)
What I can recommend is to consider the idea to lease just for the campaign this one :
Price is high, but compared to the productivity, or like it was used several times in this guide "For the sake of the time frame", it is worthy considering it
Well this is it, enjoy making pellets and good profit
I hope you liked the guide, if so please be so kind to :
How Actually It Looks Like
As usual, for convenience I am providing a movie which I created as a video guide.
If you have the time to have a look at it, you will see that about that time I am using the ROPA NawaRo-Maus to load the pellets. Later on when I got the Platinum edition I "upgraded" my method, and now I am presenting you the latest revision
Be happy, be friendly and keep farming !
