Lossless Scaling
My Experience With Lossless Scaling
I bought Losless Scaling two years ago for FTL: Faster Then Light (Integer Scaling). I tested it; it worked, and I forgot about it...
Recently, I read about LS in a few places, praising how good it is (doubling and tripling fps with its Frame Generation algorithm). And now, when Space Age came out, I noticed a fellow engineer talking about how good it is (https://steamcommunity.com/app/427520/discussions/0/4693405608847473924).
So I tested it myself to find out.
And it is great. No screen tearing. No input lag. No artifacts. It makes Factorio even better.
I'll show you how I set it up, and it's very easy. No screenshots. Will write only changes to default settings.
Lossless Scaling
Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with Lossless Scaling. It should work with older GPU's. Use it at your own risk, and research more if you have doubts.

How To Setup
Run Lossless Scaling
Click "+ Add" in the lower left corner
Title: Factorio Filters: Click "Browse" and point factorio.exe location. Auto scale: On Delay: 5 Click "Add"
Scaling type: OffFrame generation LSFG 2.3
Mode: X2 That's it. Run Factorio; LS should automatically detect it and apply settings.
Enjoy a more fluid, smoother experience!
You can experiment and modify some settings (Clip cursor, G-Sync support, Draw FPS, etc.).
G-sync is working for me (my monitor adjusts refresh rate to ~120 hz, no screen tearing).
