ELDEN RING Easiest 10 Somber Smithing Stones for Weapon Upgrades

Introduction

Somber Smithing Stones are a weapon upgrade stone which can be used at any blacksmith location to upgrade your special weapons. The blacksmiths can be found in roundtable hold or Iji who we will be talking about soon.

In this guide you will only need to fight one boss, but a simple strategy will be posted in the respective section.

Location:To reach Iji who sells the somber stones location without killing any bosses you can go around stormveil castle.

Iji is at road to manor grace which is locked behind a ruin.

When you arrive at the kingsrealm ruins there will be an invisible wall you need to hit and the pathway will clear up.

Cost:2000, 3000, 4000, 6000 runes

Location:The stone is in caelid just north of the aeonian swamp.

Go through the crack in the high terrain.

Then behind the graven mass is the somber 5 stone at the end.

Location:This stone is at Mt Gleimir whihc is west of Altus. To get there see map below.

Go west of bridge of inquinity until you see a broken battlefield. Then stick left and look for a ladder which is located near some Virgin Maiden Abductors, you do not need to kill any of them just be as fast as you can going up the ladder by holding sprint. Image below shows the ladder location.

After that you'll reach grace first camp site of mt gleimir, all you need to do now is turn left after climbing the ladder and past the graveyard there is a chair and a dog. The chair has the somber stone on it.

Somber Smithing Stone 7

Please note you need a stonesword key which can be found where you meet Rodrieka at grace Storm Hill Shack. If you need another you can purchase from Nomadic Merchant west of Weeping Peninsula.

Location:This stone is found North of Caelid.

Just walk towards the divine tower and you will see a scarab that holds the stone.

Somber Smithing Stone 9

Location:This stone is found near the previous, North of Caelid. Just travel east down the slope and you'll see an arrangement of chairs facing eachother by the base of the divine tower. You'll find the somber stone along with some other useful items.

Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone

Location:Finally the last, but longest (not hardest) stone can be found the easiest way is through Mohg's palace. The earliest way of getting there is through Varre's questline.

After unlocking Pureblood Knight Medal you can activate it to get to Mohg Dynasty and progress through the underground terrain until you reach midpoint grace.

After this just carry on straight and you'll see albinaurics gathered on a podium around a chest. You can run past them all and quickly open and loot the chest with the stone in it.
