Step 3: grab the animal.

Step 4: Push the lie down/standup button repeatedly.

Step 5: Profit

Bonus advice.

Go hunting and trade the products of hunting for equipment. It also doubles as boosting your skills.

Bonus points if you can kick a ‘Ruffian’ assaulting a town into a well.
