Crates
Each day you can get up to 3 crates and an additional crate after finishing and claiming your daily task. This is contingent on the server having at least 10 players active on the game finishing or 15 when finishing(only for your daily task)
There are 4 different crates each containing items for one equip slot
They have 5 different possible predominant rarities and are as follows
Common
Uncommon
Rare
Extraordinary
Legendary
On top of this there are some possible other rarity effects which are
Color
YIKE
Shiny
Crate 1 Contains Haircuts and these have a couple unique colors only available for hair: Blond and Brown
The contents of this crate are generally fetch the lowest prices but the more unique hair colors fetch the high values; Red, Blue, Green.
Some of these hairstyles are especially not worth as much due to their compatibility with hats.
The most useable hairstyle for meshing well with hats is Baldo as it removes almost all of your hair except for a small strand that is almost unnoticeable.
Crate 2 contains hats as well as the unique rarer trait of YIKE
Some of these hats are just items that sit on your head while others fit a lot more nicely on your characters head.
Crate 3 contains all the facial equipable items.
these range from masks to a clown nose, there's a lot of unique possibilities with these items
Crate 4 contains footwear.
These are all items that cover most of your foot except for the sandals (not the socks with sandals) those still show your feet ;)
Items
Items come in a few predominant rarities;

Extraordinary
Legendary
On top of this there are rarities for the colors that an item can have as well
Common

The rarities for the colors are
Common
Gray
Light Blue
Creme(Hair Exempt)
Blond(Hair only)
Brown(Hair only) Uncommon
Green
Blue
Red Rare
Orange
Pink
Black Legendary
Gold
These items also have a rarity number that they are assigned based on their color and rarity.
each rarity has a "weight" and shininess and branding can also add "weight"
Common - 1
Uncommon - 2
Rare - 3
Extraordinary - 4
Legendary - 6
YIKE - 5
Shiny - It has a range of 5-14 for each respective grade of shininess
0.4 shiny = 8
1.0 shiny = 14
The item you have will always have a minimum of 2 rarity as they have both their predominant rarity and their color rarity values combined.
Ex. A Rare hat with Blue coloring would be a 5 rarity as it has values of 3 and 2 combined to 5.
These rarity values are indicative of exactly how rare each item is comparatively.
The exact calculations of drop rarity aren't public but it can be assumed through the steam market the relative rarities
Rarities
Common - 80%*
Uncommon - 16.5%*
Rare - 2.3%*
Extraordinary - 1%*
Legendary - 0.2%*
Colors
Common - 78%*
Uncommon - 17%*
Rare - 4%*
Legendary 1%*
*Estimated from steam market listings*
My estimates are that it's another 0.2% chance to get YIKE on top of whatever item you get if its available, and then another 0.04% chance for a shiny*
*Based off of analysis of the market*
OPINION BASED INFORMATION BELOW THIS POINT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Yellow Jeff hair with Lasers(effect) on the market was a mistake that a beta tester made, My assumption is that Dani is trying to add effects to items (like tf2 unusuals) in an upcoming crate (potentially a creator crate)
My assumption is the next crate to be released is a creator crate putting out some of the items you see in the cosmetics update page that aren't currently available as well as some others
The biggest reason for assuming there's going to be another crate is that we have an "other" slot in our inventory for what i could assume would be a body equip slot i.e. the cloak jumpsuit seen in the update picture or maybe special numbered jackets(speculation as well)
Trading And Collecting
This entire section is going to be actively updated like the others but a lot more frequently as the prices and market trends are so chaotic, be sure to favorite this and subscribe to stay updated.
Shiny, Golden, and YIKE items are all very sought after right now but the market is too volatile to really hinge a secure pricing format for them.
My personal MINIMUM value aka a good buylist price for each type of item is:
Shiny - $10
Golden - $0.5
YIKE - $0.5
Some other effects are if they have a more rare color for YIKE and Shiny as a Shiny Gray or Creme versus a shiny Red or even Pink, the Rarer Colors always look better as they're naturally more bright.
Golden value inflation is excluded for a few items as they're too small or too unnoticeable. Sandals, Socks with Sandals, Headband, Flushed, Most of the Facial Hair.
This can also apply to most of these items in Shiny as well.

SHINY ANALYSIS
Certain shiny colors look better just raw facts, pink green and red all "pop" way better than any other color. certain colors I haven't seen in game (black, blue, and light blue)
In my opinion the brightest and best color in shiny is pink from my own opinion but I have a few items you can compare.
The Creme in game is EXTREMELY dull and hard to notice especially as a .5 on the feet.
Gray for some strange reason has a pink/purple hue to it no matter the brightness(as seen in the images)
The orange being the "highest" shiny grade should be the brightest but I've seen in game that the green just "pops" more than orange.
The pink is obviously brighter even though it's only a .5 grade, maybe it's because it's larger but in game it "pops" more than any other color
Leave An Award If This Helped And Comment Any Questions You May Have!
As an additional side note, I have no input on trading other than refresh the steam market for good deals, as of the publishing of this golden/pink/black items always go for more than anything and shiny/YIKE items fetch differing amounts from the non Shiny/YIKE counterparts, so I would hang onto them or buy them if they seem cheaper than what the market is showing.
