Open Steam Console And Downloading The Previous Version
Open steam console
To start with reverting Coral Island to a previous version you need to enable the steam console, to this you need to either enter your browser or press win+r to open up the run program.
Once that is done you type:
steam://open/console
Once you press enter steam will open up with the console in focus
It should look something like this:
Download previous version
Now with the steam console open you have to write the command needed to download the previous version of the game, for Coral Island and the game version we need this will be:
download_depot 1158160 1158161 5593309404562888489
Press enter and steam will begin downloading the files from the previous game version, it will look something like this in the console:
Once steam as finished downloading, (this will take a couple of minutes), it will give you a file path in the console to where you can find the downloaded version. Just copy and paste this file path into windows explorer.
Replacing The Game Files And Fixing The Mod Folder
Replacing the game files
Once you opened the folder that the steam console gave you the file path for it should look something like this:
Now that the previous has been downloaded it is time to replace the game files with the newly downloaded files, to do this navigate to the game file folder. This you can do by right clicking on Coral Island in your steam library and pressing Manage > Browse local files, like so:
Now that you got the game folder opened and the folder with the previous version files all you have to do now is copy the files from the previous version, and paste them into the folder with the game files. When it asks if you want to replace the files just say yes.
Fixing the mod folder
Now that the game has been reverted to the previous update we have to fix the mod folder, this is thankfully a very simple process.
First navigate to the mod folder which is located at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\CoralIsland\ProjectCoral\Content\Paks
Here you want to delete these files:
global.ucas global.utoc ProjectCoral-WindowsNoEditor.ucas ProjectCoral-WindowsNoEditor.utoc
Once those files are gone you are finished with reverting the game to a previous version that allows mods.
Now to make sure that the game doesn't update again you have to go into the properties of Coral Island and disable them. To do this right click on Coral Island and then click on Properties > Updates, and then under Automatic Updates select Only update this game when I launch it
