Secret Achievement Guide - Cell to Singularity

Secret Achievement Guide - Cell to Singularity

Introduction

While many of the achievements for the game do not translate directly to steam achievements, Secret Achievement #1 does, and all other Secret Achievements also grant a few Darwinium, so if you're in a pinch, make sure you utilize these benefits. The order of Secret Achievements is in the order listed in the game, and is not based on order of possible completion. This guide contains very minor spoilers.

This guide was last updated June 2021, so it may be outdated by the time you read this.

Secret Achievement #1

Name: "Shark Week"

This achievement is obtained by collecting all the sharks in the main simulation, which are earned through the daily mutation page after every 14 days, and there are six sharks in total. This means that you need to claim your daily mutation on 84 separate days. Please note that the 'Shark' evolution trait is not counted in the total. Your main simulation also becomes 300% more efficient after each shark you collect. Also note that it is impossible to get a shark twice, so you don't have to worry about signing in for fourteen days just to get a repeat.

Once you unlock the achievement, the Day 14 log-in bonus is replaced with 15 Darwinium.

Secret Achievement #2

Name: "King of Beasts"

Within the Mesozoic Valley simulation, navigate to the land garden where you should see your dinosaurs sprawling about. On the outskirts of the land garden, you should see an archosaur wearing a tuxedo along with a podium and golden question mark. To get the achievement, simply click the archosaur, aptly named "Archie."

The only prerequisites for this achievement appear to be unlocking archosaurs from the Mesozoic Valley.

Secret Achievement #3

Name: "Monkeying Around"

After unlocking Apes in the main simulation, navigate to the land garden and click on an ape. After a few repeated clicks on the ape itself, wait for an animation; the ape will dab and you've gotten your next achievement. That's it.

Secret Achievement #4

Name: "Voyage of the Beagle"

If you follow the Paradise Bird, which was found in achievement #6, it will fly a different course to the hidden Galapagos Islands . Click on the land mass, complete with a Charles Darwin bust, to get achievement #6. You can also click on the pair of humans in the land garden and use the camera to pan over to the island for you to click.

Secret Achievement #5

Name: "Archie-ologist"

While not explicitly a prerequisite, I would advise completing secret achievement #2 before continuing. In the savanna biome in the main simulation's land garden, you need to navigate your camera to the corner left of the waterfall. You can achieve this by first clicking on an animal near the waterfall or by using the top-down mode in the game's built-in camera. After doing so, you should spot a set of dinosaur fossils, which evidently are Archie's remains. Click on the fossil to get secret achievement #5.

Secret Achievement #6

Name: "Bird of Paradise"

Navigate to the land garden. Simply click on a Paradise Bird to get achievement #4. The bird is brown, has a blue beak, and flies in circles around the outskirts of the garden. You do not need to unlock Birds in the main simulation for a Paradise Bird to spawn. Note: this achievement is closely associated with achievement #4.

Secret Achievement #7

Name: "Amazonian Dolphins"

While simple in execution, this achievement involves progressing far enough to unlock the Dolphin subclass and generating a sizeable number of Cetaceans. After doing so, navigate to the river that bisects the savanna and jungle biome in the main simulation's land garden. There, you should spot a River Dolphin. Click on it to obtain secret achievement #7.

Secret Achievement #8 & #9

Name: "Speed Demon"

In order to get these achievements, you need to have first unlocked the Singularity and be able to reboot your simulation through the reality engine. These achievements both require you to achieve Singularity from a fresh simulation in a certain amount of time. The first secret achievement requires you to achieve Singularity in under 5 minutes. This should be very do-able.

The second secret achievement requires you to achieve Singularity in under 90 seconds. This may take multiple attempts, depending on how far you are in the game and your upgrades. Obtaining the maximum number of Nanobots and getting the 'Nano Buyer' upgrade in the reality engine is sure to help you shave some time. On the side-window of the reality engine, you can see your fastest time you have achieved Singularity. For what this looks like, see the image below:
