The Basics Of Stealth
Simply put stealth is the distance away an enemy will detect your units.
Ways to increase stealth put units on hold fire or return fire
have infantry lay down
hide in bushes
turn of the engine of vehicles
Reason to use stealth
proper use of stealth means you can kill enemy units before they even get a shot off
Stealth Infantry
Stealth Infantry cost effective victory
IS-2, Tigers, Rocket Arty, and Arty
all these things can change the tide of the match but what if they never made it to the front.
the is the purpose of stealth infantry
by far the best having plenty of satchel charges and 2 bazookas along with being able to call them in 3 times most of them have the inventory space for additional equipment
the second best most of them being equipped with panzerfust 100's unfortunately most of them can not carry additional satchel charges like the soviets
unfortunately half the guys in this squad are useless with out additional equipment but they do have a bazookas and a 60mm mortar signaler which can sever a purpose
by far the worse the only thing they have going for them is a call in limit of 3 and a bunch of Molotov's which burn out tank engines
engineering trucks allow your squads to carry additional AT mines and satchel charges
when using stealth infantry you want to spread them out so you can see most of there back line and take out anything that pops up AT mines should be placed on roads leading out of spawn or any path that you have seen a vehicle take. once it runs over the mine if it is a half track or truck it will likely die but tanks are often only tracked. in which case you then want to bomb them or kill them with stealth infantry such as Molotov to the engine or satchel charge on the engine. the other option is enter the arty or vehicle after it is has no more crew hop in it and double press L which will self destruct it in 7 seconds
Snipers
Snipers a pain in the ass
Snipers are an easy way to get enemy infantry kills.
how to use you want them to hide in a bush every 5-10 shots you should consider relocating them.
The primary targets of snipers in a rough order are as follows
other snipers: one of the greatest threats to your sniper
officers: provide the enemy with vision
arty signalers: major loss for the enemy also threat to your sniper
medics: can bring back officers, snipers, arty signalers
engineers: builds defenses which can slow down your assault
infantry on gun emplacements: AT guns, AA guns, and MG's are often far more dangerous then infantry based weapons
anyone with a powerful weapon such as AT infantry, machine guns, flame-flowers, just as some examples: why would you not kill the guy with the MG before the guy with the rifle
Stealth For Emplacements
Reasons to use emplacements in stealth
Ambushes
Getting the first shot off
Ambushes often done with machine guns can wipe a squad of infantry before they know what has happened
recommended machine guns
The mg42 being especially good combining high damage, rate of fire, and belt size of 300.
How to preform and ambush
First get the machine gun and a scout infantryman on hold fire or return fire only.
Then hide it and a scout infantryman in a bush.
Once there about 50 meters away put them both on open fire.
After either push forward, fall back, or hold position based of the state of the battle.
Getting the first shot off is very important in tank combat. A good way to achieve this is thought the use of AT guns
AT guns are much harder to detect then tanks and best counter a tank has is HE which is less accurate then AP and often has less range. AT guns have a higher rate of fire. for an example of how much faster a 7.5cm PaK 40 with 21 APCBC-HE and a Pz.Kpfw IV Asuf.H with 21 APCBC-HE both start firing at the same place at the same time the Pz.Kpfw IV Asuf.H took and additional 36.61 seconds to stop firing. for some more info using the same type of shells the MARDER III Asuf.M and PaK 40 both with 14 ended at the same time. And the Jagpanzer 38 and PaK 40 both with 16 APCBC-HE the Jagpanzer 38 continued to fire for 42.13 seconds after the PaK 40 has stopped.
The way the quantity of shells was determined by combining both there starting quantity then splitting them evenly and throwing extra on the ground
similar to ambushing infantry you want to hide it in a bush and put it on hold fire. were it differs is as soon as the tank is in rang tell it to keep AP shells loaded and fire at the tank
to help it from being spotted hide it in a bush and build the sand bags encase it gets an HE shot of
Stealth With Tanks?
It is possible slimier emplacement in usage
you can hide you tank in bushes in the forest then turn of the engine this will allow it to still rotate its turret but not move. This means that the enemy tank will inch closer and closer and you can get the first shot off which make all the difference in tank on tank warfare.
Counters To Stealth
By now stealth probably sounds pretty op and you would be right
Stealth infantry
for infantry the most common way the enemy gets them into your back lines is by sneaking around the flanks of the map. This can be prevented or slowed by making sure there are no gaps that are more then 10-20 meters.
if they manage to get in you back lines then likely you saw them after they killed something or troops saw them while running to the back line. in either case call in a recon squad and a AA truck/scout car. spread out he recon squad and use the AA truck to pick them off as they are found.
Snipers
one of the most effective ways is officer+ sniper or recon infantry moving up + sniper
another option is blow up/ burn all there cover which means every shot or almost every shot will revel themselves.
Ambushes and hidden AT guns
has the enemy fallen back for no particular reason or does something feel off about your advance
just call in an officer and double check similar to dealing with snipers.
Tanks
once again officers also once you find them fire your arty at them or bomb them because it take 5ish seconds before the tank can move after they turn the engine on which also requires them to notice it going for that.
