Achieving stable multiplayer experience.

Achieving stable multiplayer experience.

FOR PEOPLE WITH HIGH PING

If you and your friend have big ping on all servers (even 190-230ms), there can occur out-of-sync issues, if someone as a host of the current game completed the wave. But the one, who is connected to the host of the game has one mob left with a little amount of HP. He is unkillable and stands at the one place.

For this kind of problem I recommend to play alone or decreasing your ping by using VPN.

MANDATORY THINGS TO DO

1) You have to be sure, that you are not downloading anything, so your internet bandwith would be traction-free, and all packets from your side will be delivered succesfully, so you can receive packets and process them the same way.

(Especially if you're not near China, there is more chance that you can lose packets and it can be fatal)

Game WILL NOT reconnect you, if you lose connection.

2) Before you start your multiplayer game, you have to make measurements which I will talk about later in the guide. By your measurements results you have to choose the best server with the lowest ping.

3) Play!

IP ADDRESSES OF SERVERS

Server IP BJ1 39.106.78.253 HZ1 47.111.97.169 SH1 106.15.62.153 SZ1 120.78.158.43

PING & SERVER THEORY

I won't leave any recommendations, because there's no the best server in the long run, so you have to check them all.

Another thing to mention is that in-game ping doesn't correspond to the real ping to the server. Real ping is multiplied by 3 and it is shown in the game.

For example: if your in-game ping is 690ms - divide it by 3 (690/3=230). 230ms is your real ping to the server. I really don't know the cause of that, so if you have any suggestions feel free to write them in the comments.

CHECKING SERVERS STABILITY

To check stability of the servers, you have to open up Command Prompt (do Win+R combination and type cmd) and simply type in the following form:

ping ip.server.string -n 15

"n" corresponds to number of packets you want to choose at one run.

It is ideal situation if you have 0 packets lost out of 15.

According to my observations there's usually are 2 or 3 packet losses.

(Considering that my location is Europe)

Sometimes there can be 5 packet losses, so you just have to make multiple runs to be sure in server's stability.

Servers packet losses and ping difference can vary by the time of day. For example, if there were packet losses at the middle of the day, it could be perfectly stable in the evening.

Of course, if it's possible you have to choose server with the lowest ping and with the most stability. But you have to remember that stability is more important than ping.

THE MORE YOUR PING, THE MORE PACKET LOSSES YOU HAVE

After some research I have found out the following correlation: the lower your ping - the better stability you have.

Another thing to mention - the person who creates the room doesn't experience any ping troubles. What not to say about the one who is connecting to the room - he will experience real ping lags.

Actually, it's kind of strange, since they're connected to the exact same server.

(also you can feel free to share any clues about it in the comments)

(actually, it can benefit from wave 26 to 28, since those mobs are more easier to kill with ping, than without it)
