Assassin's Creed III Remastered Black screen on launch fix

The Fix

If you are having an issue with getting a black screen on launch, you're going to need to turn off fullscreen mode without launching.

To do this you will need to go to the "Assassin's Creed III Remaster" folder in your documents, then open the "Assassin3Remaster.ini" file in something like Notepad++.

Once you've opened that, you're going to want to go to line eight (very close to the top under "[Graphics_DX11]" and change the line that says "WindowMode=2" you're going to want to replace the value (2 in this case) with 1 (WindowMode=1). Then save the file, either manually or by pressing Ctrl + S, then exit the file.

Once that is done, try to launch the game If it works you may change it to windowed fullscreen AKA borderless fullscreen or you can change it to windowed. Don't change it back to fullscreen unless they release a patch that fixes this.
