How to aim Gud

The Fundamentals

Firstly every setting or part of your aim has two effects consistency and peak or Speed and control. The faster you are the better your peaks will be however the lower your lows will go. The more control you have the more consistent you will play however if you have too much control you will consistently be bad. I will outline which effects these will all have.

Mouse Pad

There are 3 main speed of mouse pad, Fast, sloth and hybrid. There are others however i am not going to go into that much detail. Fast pads are usually hard surfaces or infused surfaces, Such as a Skypad 2.0 or a Artisan shidenkai. Sloth pads are usually more mainstream pads such as a Artisan Zero, Steel series Qck and they are very slow. Hybrid pads are usually expensive and are designed as a middle man between these pads. Examples being Artisan Hien or the Fnatic Dash.

As a general rule:

Fast pad:

Speed : XXX

Control: X

Hybrid Pad:

Speed: XX

Control: XX

Sloth:

Speed: X

Control: XXX

The best y-tuber on Mouse pads is a blocky named Boardzy now there is variation between mouse pads with some being in-between these categories it is a rule of thumb.

Mouse

When picking out a mouse a few things should be in mind.

Shape: Pick a shape which you like, or fits your grip, if you are a palm gripper that is right handed try an ergo right handed mouse. Typically lower front ends are better however find a shape which you like and play with it. These can have an effect on other things in this list which effect Control and speed.

Weight: Mouse weight, heavier = More control, Lighter = Speed, however lighter = less time for your hand to fatigue meaning longer playtime before a decrease in performance. This is something i would recommend going for lighter and increasing control in other places to substitute. I would consider Light to be 60g and lighter and heavy to be 80g and heavier. Here as i said i would recommend lighter and if you want more control change other things.

Your mouse grip: there are other Grips and hybrids and they will effect in-between such as a scorpion grip like TenZ's and but this is an outline.

Palm:

Speed: X

Control: XXX

Claw:

Speed: XX

Control: XX

fingertip:

Speed: XXX

Control: X

Your hand size: The larger your hand the larger the mouse should be the exception to this rule is Fingertip as even with big hands you can play a small mouse. i will put a link to RJN's website where it provides mouse ideas depending on your hand size.

The cable: Cables provide Drag the less drag the better this is regardless of control. Wireless mouse are typically best however if there is not a mouse shape you like in the current Wireless scene or you have budget constraints, Use a mouse with a flex cable, or upgrade the cable with a para-cord (order these online). Also try adding a mouse bungee to decrease the drag some more. Some mice now have the start of the cable tilted up, this is good and will provide less drag.

Mouse feet: try to buy a mouse with 100% PTFE feet however if not buy some online and upgrade them, its easy.

Mouse feet:

Corepads:

Speed: X

Control: XXX

Tiger Ice:

Speed: XX

Control: XX

Hyperglides:

Speed: XXX

Control: X

Sensor: A. Any DPI Over 1600 is not needed. Higher Hz the better. Any sensor above a PMW: 3310 is good most mice have decent sensors these days. Also sensor should be centrally placed on the mouse

Clicks: Clicks come down to feel vs speed. Mechanical switches such as Kahli switches feel a lot nicer then Optical switches however Optical Switches are faster. If you want it for pure competitive gaming and want any edge you can get go Optical if not go Kahli or regular switches

Sensitivity

I have played every sens and i will teach you how to learn what i learnt very fast.

What is a high sens, anything above 1200 EDPI on the CSGO Scale.

What is a low sens, Anything below 800 EDPI on the CSGO Scale.

EDPI= DPI x Ingame

Does high Sens = speed, no, If you have to slow your self down to hit a shot the low sens is faster. So what is good about High sens, well you can sometimes 360 faster.

So what Sens should i play: Well the higher your sens the more inconsistent you will be sometimes you will hit a nuts shot but a lot of the time you will play poorly, So why can pros play high sens, because they have 10k hours on that sens, plus they play the game so much that their game sens and cross-hair placement aims for them in most games in csgo a pro with good cross-hair placement barely aims What would i do, Play the Slowest Sens that you can move fast with. So on your main game you can still move around and have good movement, and not feel like you can't hit a 90 degree angle shot. This comes down to how fast you can be asked to move your arm/wrist if your aim looks or feels slow it probably is too low for you. So go up on my sens 800DPI by 0.75 ingame csgo i can move my mouse like i am on high sens. You can get used to a low sens but if you feel like you cba to hit a target increase your sens.

Arm aim vs Wrist:

This is easy use your arm for large movements and your wrist for micro-adjustments anything else is dumb.

How To Practise

A. Don't only play Grid-shot, Play DM on your fav game and practise with hard shots, If you are struggling to hit that is good. Spend more time practising. My advice Aim trainer for 1 hour a day, pick out the scenarios you struggle with the most and try and come within 5% of your PB you hit 5% go onto another task, or try and Break it. Then practise on the fastest pace version of your preferred game. And make the shots hard go for the flick shots, and one taps if you play camping in a corner you will not improve make it hard for yourself. On cs don't spam deagle go for clean one taps. Also listen to what Aimlabs says is your worse category and try to improve on that. Also Do not change settings, as long as it is not absurdly high or low. This will reset muscle memory, you will hit one decent shot then stay on that sens for a week before changing i did it all the time. Just stay on one sens. Also practise movement as it helps with aim and game sens, ingame they impact aim a lot. Most pros can change sens because they again. Actual aim is not as important at a high level as you are already pre-aiming.
