Achievement guide [ENG]

Overview

Pureya's achievements comprise 9 different requirements. The guide is aimed at assisting players for the most difficult one ("888"), but does provide information for each individual achievement too.

50+ marbles with no hits in one round

Playing within the 'main' part of the game, the goal is to make it through the 9x 10 second minigames with 50 or more marbles, without getting hit.

As you become more familiar with the minigames, this should become more achievable, but the main thing to focus on is not dying, rather than aiming for marbles.

Should it be necessary, if a particular minigame is giving you trouble, then you can disable it from the chest option in the main menu:

--> -->

333

Achievement guide [ENG] image 18

70+ marbles in one round

The main things to focus on here are:

Starting with the speed on the red setting (enabling maximum marble collection)

Minimising your deaths (takes time, and reduces speed)

Getting the right minigames

Some games are particularly slow for marble collection, whereas others are superior.

Similar to the trick mentioned in "222" above, you can disable/enable minigames that you are particularly adept in, or that provide better marble-generating possibilities.

My top minigame picks for this achievement, due to the number of marbles able to be collected in 10 seconds and manoeuvrability, are as follows:

Snowboard

Possum/squirrel glider

Seahorse

Left/right boat

Particularly bad minigames, for inverse reasons to those above, are (imho):

Squid

Flamingo

Sword/heart

444

Medal

The "gateway drug" achievement for "888".

Requires the player to reach a score of 100 on any individual level in the survival mode.

Survival mode:

See the "888" section for detailed tips, but the easiest minigame (imho) is the snowboarding game.

555

Achievement guide [ENG] image 44
Achievement guide [ENG] image 45

999 marbles

Requires 999 marbles to be held by the player.

Recommended approachI suggest these marbles be earned by trying to get 100 score in each minigame (see "444" or "888") - the marbles earned by playing each individual minigame is added to the total.

Alternative approachThe alternative is playing "infinite mode", shown below (main menu):

666

Ending

I haven't been able to confirm, but I believe this is unlocked after all minigames and music are unlocked.

After emptying all marbles into the Pachinko machine, a cutscene will play where the 'pureya girl' places the bowl of marbles back on the shelf, and the achievement will be awarded.

777

Achievement guide [ENG] image 56

Golden

After unlocking the ending ("666", above), golden marbles are added to the Pachinko machine.

If a golden marble makes it into the goal, the newly-added "golden indicator" above the percentage sign will flash. During the awarding of rewards, you will now be eligible to unlock golden skins of the various minigames' playable entities.

Unlocking a golden skin will award you the achievement.

All survival medals

The most time-consuming and difficult achievement of the game. All else being equal, this will be the last achievement unlocked.

Requires a score of 100 to be reached on every individual minigame contained within the survival mode.

There are a total of 34 minigames (incl the 'minigame compilation' and 'random' games).

A detailed guide of tips/tricks/advice for each minigame is contained later in the guide.

Unlock everything

Through the pachinko machine, unlock all:

Minigames*

Music*

Skins, including golden skins* To save on time spent, and marbles used, these can be unlocked via a secret menu.

This is detailed in the below guide:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2436444378

While grinding for the survival medals required for "888", head back to the Pachinko machine when you have several hundred marbles and dump them for that glorious dopamine hit.

Tips:

Constantly fling marbles into the machine

Once you've filled the bar, additional marbles that enter the target spot will add to the percentage. I believe this adds to your chance of aligning 3x numbers, or for your number to win if the mini-cutscene occurs

If you get bored of the pachinko-playing, you can hit escape, and select the 'blue icon' in the menu. This will dump all your marbles. If you have several hundred, you'll be almost-guaranteed a pay-out.

Overview of section

The aim is to collate all of the minigames, in order, and provide tips that I found/used to help get to 100 on each.

Minigame marathon

10 second minigames, randomly selected. Much like the main mode of the game. Probably better to attack this one towards the end, once you have a better feel for each minigame.

Asteroid assault

Main aim here is to only shoot/hit asteroids towards the top of the screen. If you end up firing at asteroids at the bottom, there's a chance the debris will crash into your ship. Take it slow, and avoid aiming/shooting at anything if you can't get shots in at far away asteroids.

Squid spring

Takes a bit to get used to the controls, but that's really the only tip here. It comes down to familiarity with how the squid moves, and then focusing on "not dying" rather than trying to collect as many marbles as possible.

When in trouble, you can quickly alternate right/left to get a near-vertical ascent - if needed, you can go out the top and screen-wrap to the bottom (and vice versa)

Hawk hunt

Defence is the greatest offence, yet again, for this one. Another war of attrition. Spend more time consciously avoiding large movement for a marble, and where possible, re-position your hawk to the center of the screen - this gives you the greatest opportunity to react and not die.

Pirate bombardment

Divide the sea your ship sails on into four broadly equal quadrants. Once you've done that, focus entirely on which of the four cannons at the back the marble fires out of.

After that, it's a matter of just moving to the right spot. It can get tricky when on max speed, but even then, it is possible to go from the position 1 marble spot to the position 4 marble spot.

Unlike many other levels, your goal IS to collect every marble - this ensures your safety.

RC soccer

Kick the ball, get the marbles.

Biggest tip I have here is to decide on a side of the screen you like. Hug that wall... tightly. Pop out to hit the ball as/when needed, or when a flag is flush against the wall you're on.

Using this strategy, and not moving far out and away from the wall, you can pretty reliably survive - if the coast is clear, you can also easily collect 2x marbles per volley, by timing your movement off the wall just right.

Play it patient, and you'll be fine.

Flappy bat

I feel like I've seen this game somewhere before.....

Stay to the left side as much as possible - after a few flaps to the right, go one or two flaps to the left to realign yourself with the left hand side. Give yourself the most amount of time to react to where gaps in the stalag(t/m)ites appear.

Your primary goal is to survive (again...), rather than collecting all marbles. Drill that mentality into your head - it'll be required for many minigames.

Spider swing

An interesting control mechanic for this game - you'll find that if you alternate left to right, you'll get too much momentum which can be difficult to recover from.

The biggest tip is around how you approach the controls - you have the greatest chance to respond from the centre, but moving back to the centre from the sides can lead to too much momentum... so, you'll want to lightly tap the direction you're in. That is, if you're on the right side, to get back to the centre, lightly tap right to slowly move yourself back towards the centre.

Similar to most games; survival is the main focus. Choose the marbles you aim to collect, rather than trying to get any and all.

Bouncy ball

A reasonably straight-forward game - control the left/right alignment of a bouncing ball. You have a lot of control, unlike a lot of other games that adjust your movement when you aren't pressing an input (eg: the spider game above).

The big thing is to not get forced too far to the right. To maintain your position on the screen, you'll need to jump over two cacti at a time a number of times. This can be done on any cacti, but can be more difficult for the tall/wide cacti. So try not to be "forced" to do a double cacti jump; choose them on your own terms.

Goat gallop

Vertical positioning is the most important thing here. The marbles will come to you over time; just stay on the screen. At the fastest speed you'll find that moving up one platform at a time will lose you a lot vertical height; when you get closer to the bottom, you'll have to aim for two platforms up.

Note, you cannot go from the left side to the right side of the screen (or vice versa) in time - if your platform patterns require that movement, you'll need to use the horizontal screen wrap to get to the other side.

Paper plane

Avoid the balloons before aiming for marbles. Marbles on that path = ok. Marbles out of the way = not today.

If you aren't travelling with too steep an angle, you can push down/up the balloons with the middle part of your paper plane. You cannot hit the balloons with the tip of your plane though.

Snowboard slopes

One of the best minigames. The marbles come at you quickly, and you can manoeuvre very well. No real tips here - just enjoy how well it controls (something absent from a number of minigames!)

Monkey mayhem

Holding left/right is the best means of controlling the game - get used to the feel of how long to hold down the key to move from gap to gap (or vine to vine), or you can double tap a key. Holding gets you the most efficient movement though.

There's a surprisingly decent amount of movement options provided to you, since you can hide between coconuts falling, and can move quickly.

The main coconut pattern to be aware of is when two coconuts are falling side-by-side; depending on when you start moving, these may not be possible to avoid quickly enough. Either hang to the right-hand side of them and then move left afterwards, or beat them early.

Gondola guidance

Just take it slow. I got this on my first attempt, and patience makes this really easy to achieve.

Don't over-extend, don't try and make large movements, don't aim for marbles that are too close to trees.

Controls for this one? Don't want to be holding the arrow keys for too long; there's a large correction time required to move the other direction. Tap the arrow keys to make small movements.

The only part of the tree that needs to be avoided is the green leafy bits at the top, so use that to your advantage.

Everybody was Fire Fighting (hoo-ah!)

This one is quite challenging. The left/right movement when moving up and down can create some issues, particularly when moving fast, and if you don't get your vertical height right at the start the controls can be/feel unresponsive for small adjustments.

My goal was to get to 25 marbles early, grabbing as many as I could. Then after that, I'd stay towards the bottom where possible. If I was presented with 2x fires in the bottom windows that I couldn't avoid, you can go between the windows - only a last-ditch effort if the patterns don't give you much room to move. See below:

Suger gliding

One of the easier minigames - you can move from rightward momentum to near-still pretty quickly, enabling some riskier marble taking if you feel confident with the controls.

You can also go out the left/right sides in a pinch.

Per most left/right-aligned minigames, try and always re-centre yourself where possible.

Flamingo footpath

In my humble opinion, this is the hardest minigame.

There are no good tips for it - you need to get a feel for how long to hold the left button to time your steps, and don't hit those damn shells!

If you overstep a marble, you can press right to shuffle over to it - only do this if you are close.

If multiple shells appear in sequence, you'll need to step between them, requiring somewhat precise timing.

Good luck. I really hated this minigame for the achievement....

Frog frolic

Staying towards the bottom is better - you can go off the screen at the bottom to the point where your nose isn't visible and still be safe. So use that extra time to ensure you don't hit the logs. All in all, I wouldn't "aim" for the floating marbles; stick to the lilypad marbles, and the other ones are a bonus.

Penguin panic

This is a game of survival, rather than one of "getting every marble" - generally you want to stick to upper platforms if they exist (more marbles in general, and less chance of falling off).

Avoid 1-tile wide platforms where possible; easy to fall off.

Some floor patterns should be treated with care:

Avoid the middle area, it's not worth it. Rub up against the blocking floor tile, then do a full jump over holding right.

Avoid marbles just below jumps/overhanging platforms. The marble being collected in this screenshot is not worth it, for example (although it was slow at this point, so would have had enough time to move backwards)

Keep moving through! on the faster speeds (you're probably already >25 if seeing this pattern), and get to the right of these as soon as possible.

Seahorse slide

Rise right to the top, then fall, holding left/right until about the middle of the screen, find a bubble, and don't move until right at the top of the screen again. This one isn't too hard!

Sword and shield... without the shield

Sweeping motions are best - overswing the sword rather than underswinging and dying. Don't be afraid of cutting marbles if it means remaining alive!! Where you get a break, re-centre your sword so you have the most time to react to arrows at the sides.

Bee buzz

Try to operate in the middle of the level, then aim for marbles near the top - you can lose a lot of speed through turning, so it shouldn't be too hard to stay on the field comfortably. Of note is that the turning circle of the bee is pretty lenient; you can sit and do mad burnouts to kill time if you're too close to the top and there are 2-3 adjacent safe flowers.

That said, you can't just hold a direction to circle around a man-eating flower; you need to let go of the arrow keys for a little else you'll run into the flower of death.

A lot of text... but this one is pretty easy. I actually got this on my first play.

Rubber ducky

Staying underwater is better than jumping out of the top when the speed starts ramping up imho. Bit more maneuverability. The main thing to watch out for are patterns of consecutive 1-tile high gaps; better to go over the top for those - it can get you stuck pretty easily.

That said, you'll likely find yourself forced to go out the top at some point - things to note:

You can do a mid-air jump if your ascent was quick - after floating to the top, you press "right"/jump at the peak of your jump

Watch out for the drop below the surface when dropping/jumping back into the water. Consider your point of entry carefully, and either jump or drop to avoid rubbing up against the blocks.

Crab carnage

Weird movement for this one - every time you move you ascend slightly. Moving too quickly will push you out the top and die.

Landing on top of the coral columns / green kelp will push you out the top too and die.

Aim here is to shoot only the stuff that's towards the bottom - if it's a marble, sh~t's good; just stay where you are and collect that good spherical dopamine. If it's a pointy conch shell though, you want to ensure you're in a position to move to the sides.

Thankfully though, the crab can wrap horizontally across the screen.

I like to stay right up against the right side of the screen and constantly tap left/right back and forth, staying essentially in the same position. Even at the fast speed, this generally leads you to hitting the kelp low down on the screen, giving you ample time to collect marbles/avoid conch shells as required.

Just pay attention for when coral columns will leave you minimal space on that side of the screen - best to move away then. An example of a coral column you'll probably want to move to the left of (either through wrapping around the screen to the right, or moving left):

Minecart madness

Not too bad in the scheme of things.

Spend some time getting used to the 'momentum' that exists when holding left/right, then switching direction.

The main thing to focus on is not overextending yourself for a marble that'll put you in a bad spot later. Quick back and forth movements aren't a strong point of this minigame, so don't plan to "snag a marble then move back to the centre of the screen quickly", unless the coast is clear.

Points to note:

No screen wrap here, so keep your wits about you.

There's a resistance to directional change (as noted above), so don't try and do too much fancy maneuvering

You can collide with the falling rocks from the left/right (not just being trapped below one), so plan accordingly.

Sailboat skimming

Control the sail boat by adjusting the angle of the sail.

Relevant tips:

Take some time to get used to the feel of the controls - there's a lot of power in not moving, so plan your trajectory accordingly.

Can tap left/right quickly to stall in place without moving.

If you hold left/right, you can quickly spin the boat in place without moving forward, once you get past the maximum tilt of the sail.

Even if the ass of your boat touches a hexagonal island, you're done. So make sure you're not "drifting" too much, too close to an island.

Helicopter havoc

One of the most ass-controlling minigames of the game.

This one took me a lot of time, and required quite a bit of luck pattern-wise. That said, there are some tips I garnered from playing:

Moving right moves you up, whilst there isn't much upward momentum from moving left.

HOLDING LEFT AND RIGHT TOGETHER IS THE BEST STRATEGY

Pressing both left/right simultaneously keeps your left/right momentum, and just moves you up. So.... if you are keeping up with the screen scroll, you're essentially playing Flappy Bird. Some left/right movement may still be required, but this is better than the normal game's controls!

Mouse mayhem

Not a difficult game. The main tips here are:

Do not drop unless you can see a solid floor.

Whenever you do drop down a floor, stay close to the one of the two edges.

You have air-strafing the likes of which would make most platformers envious. So, I'd stay closer to the inside-edge of any platforms; whilst screen wrapping is present, I found it created unnecessary complication, versus just staying on-screen. Play with patience, and victory will await you.

Earth assault

The controls for this one are pretty ass. It's very much a game of defense-forward thinking, rather than marble-taking focus; survive first, and take the marbles that are close to you without over-extending.

A few things to note:

Regular missiles fire in a straight line - these are fairly simple to avoid with planning; just need to get used to the timing between seeing them emerge from the planet, and when they'll be in the way for you.

Homing missiles, by contrast, are a royal pain in the arse. Not too bad if you are spinning in one direction and they spawn behind you (they chase you in the direction you are spinning). BUT. Pay close attention to when one spawns ahead of you - it will curve towards you, and is the most common reason for my failing this minigame.

The radio dish that fires lasers always tracks you - if you are >180 degrees from it, it will switch direction and spin the other way towards you.

I had greatest success by:

• Only rotating around the planet in one direction; pushing the other direction key only to adjust my trajectory.

• Staying between 0 and 180 degrees AHEAD of the laser/radio dish (ie; staying spinning in the same direction the entire time). This way the dish only spins in one direction, and gives you more time to focus on the missiles/homing missiles.

Good luck! This one was annoying.

Snake, aka Nokia nostalgia

It's the mobile version with a twist. If you were like me and playing Snake or Snake2 on those jank-ass Nokia mobile phones, this shouldn't be too hard; it's the same game, without the increasing tail length.

A few things to keep in mind:

You move faster up the screen than across it (great for keeping yourself in check and on the screen)

If you double press one direction, you will find yourself travelling down the screen

Always pay attention to which direction you are travelling, so you don't accidentally press the wrong direction when travelling left/right, and end up moving yourself down the screen.

Speed boat

You have a lot of control in this one - it can take a little bit to get to the 100, but it shouldn't be too difficult I'd hope. Just be wary of holding down the left arrow key - since it can be easy to shoot out the left hand side of the screen and die.

Bowling

Main tips here are that you don't want to be on the outside of pins that are away from the centre. So if a pin is on the left hand side, consciously avoid being on it's left hand side; increases the risk of bouncing into the gutter.

Otherwise, take it slow - if you end up needing to go between a 'spare' formation, obviously aim for the gap, but I'd stay slightly more towards the inside edge of the outer pin (so if you bounce off the pin, you get pushed towards the centre, and have more time to react).

Spinning top

This one's hard. Lots of frustrating hitboxes, and can be easy to knock yourself into trouble.

Take this one slowly, and hang towards the middle/right of the screen - getting too far forward on the left hand side has a higher risk of either: a) needing to react quickly to a rolling obstacle, or b) accidentally bumping into a wall, shooting you backwards into an obstacle.

FINAL RANDOM LEVEL

It seems to just be a randomly selected level? Can keep restarting until you get to a level you're comfortable on. I did it with the descending squirrel/sugar glider.
