Introduction
So you’ve just spawned in 7 Days to Die. Congratulations! You now have seven days to prepare before an undead stampede tears your shack to pieces.
You have two choices:
1. Learn how to actually survive.
2. Spend the next 20 minutes punching grass before getting eaten alive by zombie dogs.
This guide will walk you through the absolute essentials—whether you want to last until Blood Moon or just make your suffering slightly less pathetic.
Follow The Steps
1️⃣ Step One: Pick Up Rocks Like Your Life Depends on It (Because It Does)
You might be thinking, “I should build a base first.” Wrong. Your first priority is collecting small rocks, wood, and plant fibers. Why? Because in this game, your first weapon is a sharp rock on a stick, and trust me—you’ll need it.
✅ Punch grass until your fists hurt.
✅ Smack some trees like a Minecraft speedrunner.
✅ Find small rocks and pretend you have a real weapon.
This is your life now. Get used to it.
2️⃣ Step Two: Zombies Are Not Your Friends (But You Will Meet Many of Them)
At first, you might think you can just sprint away from zombies. And sure, maybe for the first day. But once night falls, these things turn into Olympic sprinters fueled by pure hatred. Your best bet? Don’t be outside at night.
🔴 DO NOT:
❌ Run around looting at 3 AM. You will die.
❌ Try to fight a horde with a wooden club. You will die.
❌ Think you’re safe on a rooftop. Zombies climb now. You will die.
🟢 DO:
✅ Get inside before sunset.
✅ Pray your walls hold.
✅ Cry when they don’t.
3️⃣ Step Three: Your First Base Will Be Pathetic, Accept It
Everyone dreams of an indestructible fortress. In reality, your first base will be four wood frames stacked in fear, and that’s okay. Just remember:
Wood frames are your best friend. They’re cheap, placeable, and upgradeable.
Zombies love doors. Don’t give them any. Use ladders or nerd-pole up.
Hiding underground sounds smart. Until a horde collapses your ceiling and buries you alive.
Your first horde night will be terrifying. Your base will get destroyed. You will panic. But hey, at least now you know what not to do.
4️⃣ Step Four: Loot Everything, Trust Nothing
Scavenging is essential, but be warned—everything in this game is trying to kill you.
Open a door? Zombie.
Break a crate? Zombie.
Step on a landmine? Game over.
The golden rule of looting: ALWAYS break a hole in the wall and peek inside before going in. It’s either that or wake up a dozen angry undead in a dark basement.
Pro Tip: If you hear growling behind you, it’s already too late.
5️⃣ Step Five: Blood Moon Night – The Final Exam of Pain
Every 7 days, the zombies lose their minds and come for your soul. There is no escape. Your only option is to fight, hide, or pretend this isn’t happening.
The 3 Stages of Blood Moon Panic™:
False Confidence: “I think I’m ready.”
Immediate Regret: “I am not ready.”
Spectator Mode: “Well, that was fun.”
If your base survives the first horde night, congratulations! You’re now slightly less of a noob. If it doesn’t? Welcome to 7 Days to Die. Time to start over.
Final Thoughts
Welcome to the Struggle
7 Days to Die isn’t just about survival—it’s about watching everything you build get torn apart in seconds. If you follow these steps, you might actually make it past day 7. Or you’ll still die horribly. Either way, you’ll learn something.
✅ Punch grass.
✅ Avoid basements.
✅ Build smarter, not prettier.
✅ Trust nothing.
✅ Accept that your base will eventually collapse.
Good luck, survivor. You’re gonna need it.
